The Bay has gone back to its roots and has re-embraced it's original name "The Hudson's Bay Company." It's gone through many changes over the years. They still have "Bay Days" with sales, but does anyone remember "Scratch and Save" with The Bay? Those were the days! Lol. Anyway, when Bonnie Brooks told over the helm at The Bay, she tried to give the brand a more upscale image and luxurious feel. Well, I don't think that ever happened to this location. It still feels like a mid-end department store, which I like because it reminds me of The Bay of my youth, lol.
This location is much smaller than other Bays, so the selection is not as good. Although surprisingly they have a great selection of Kipling bags (great for travel) and even had the elusive "tile print" that I so rarely see in stores. They don't have an Optical, like some Bays do (in Ottawa it's just Bayshore and Rideau that have Opticals). However, it is 2 levels and has most things you would expect of a typical Bay store.
It's in Place d'Orleans (which is undergoing renovations at the time of the writing of this review to make it more modern looking). Lots of free parking. read more
