During that time (I'm now 25 and took my partner here yesterday ) and up until now, not a great deal has changed. This however is not a bad thing. The beach is beautiful, windy at time but regardless, one of the most softest sands you will feel on British soil. The dunes make for a fantastic view and offer some relief from the wind (if you have it that day) I highly recommend visiting this beautiful little town, it's beach and the local town of rye. This isn't your normal great British beach, this offers just something more that feels special.

Forget the summer, that's all Stella Artois, dodgy tats and lobster coloured sunburnt yobs & no-place-to-park territory. Autumn, winter & spring are for those 'in the know'. This place is massive, really big. I was there a few years ago and there was a beached ship the size of a Dover-Calais ferry there - look at the photo! I missed it initially!!! If you imagine a vast stretch of sand running for miles with wrapped up people walking, horses galloping and wind & kite surfers everywhere, then you have Camber Sands. Fantastic place. Camber itself is a curious run of wooden bungalows looking lost and beaten up by the elements & there is a Pontins style holiday camp too. Cripes! Ignore this & Qype Camber for some of the fantastic beach cafes that are about. For dinner & drinks Qype Rye. A beautiful place if you've never been. Can be a little 'cream tea' but there are some excellent fish restaurants too. A final tip is a stroll round Winchelsea. My favourite East Sussex village. Beautiful.

For WWII and military buffs like me- actual untouched bunkers that were constructed in 1940. Goose bumps. Surfing - one of the best surfing venues. Kitesurfing too. Definitely! Did we and can you get to Wissant from Paris by train or car in less than 2 hours? Oui! Wow are those the white cliffs of Dover in England across the English Channel that you can see and almost touch? Yes. You mean the temperature in July and August stays in the 75-79 degree F range and 29 to 42 in December and January? Certainly. Is this the ultimate place to experience and then go fishing on a flat bottom boat or flobart with the most fun crew ever? Indeed. Is the population of Wissant just 938 currently which means we felt like and you will feel like you have your own private beach? Affirmative. Best, fresh mussels and oysters and the most awesome fish and chips evahhhh? Yup. Loads of restaurants to choose from. Nice! Can't wait to see everyone in August for the Fete du Flobart; the parade with the boats being pulled by horses, lovely live music, seafood galore with the sweetest people and families who loved on us for the last three years.

During our trip to Canterbury, we visited two escape room companies, the only two that existed in…read morethe town at the time. The first one was Escape Kent. As of the time of writing this, they had two rooms available, Alien Attack and Escape The Serialkiller. We decided on the Alien Attack room, in which you're taking on the role of a group of scientists trying to stop, you guessed it, an attack on earth by  Lots of space in large lockers, some complimentary drinks and a really nice and comfortable waiting room to start with. We got a short briefing and off we went to save the earth.  The room is set up like a laboratory with an interesting collection of human-made and alien looking technology and documents. There were plenty of puzzles, clues, and riddles to work on, so everyone was busy right from the start. While there were a few familiar items, they also had quite a few fresh and exciting things that I hadn't encountered in this way before. Not overly difficult, but a good challenge and a lot of fun. Especially a larger group project towards the end of the game, it was quite hard to get right but so much fun to figure out. There was one clue that made no sense at all, poor planning on the organiser's side, it didn't hinder us from progressing through the game, but we did need a clue to make sense of it. There were several electronic devices involved in solving this room and while all of them worked well, there was one in particular that was hard to handle. We got it to work in the end though, so it's all good. We stopped the alien attack in good time and had a lot of fun. It's a really good team room with a thorough theme and professional production value.  I can absolutely recommend Escape Kent and we'll definitely be returning to try their other rooms.

I have played there many times and have always been pleased with what is a playing surface second to none in the County. The Club play in the Local Dover League and in the past few years have been both winners and runners up in the league. The club play host to many touring sides throughout the season, as well as hosting many County and National games. In 2010 they are hosting the County Competition Finals. New bowlers, visitors and spectators are always welcome there, a lovely place to spend a summer afternoon.

After getting around the first 9 with a slight struggle made it to a much welcomed half way house that does the most delicious hot dogs and coffee to go! The course was great for me as was so well designed that for someone with my skills didn't have to worry to much about the shot going towards other golfers! A fantastic looking course and a marvel to play. Finishing on an outstanding 18th hole with and amazing backdrop of the grounds. Well recommended and would play there again if in the area.

Great hovercrafts and great service. It is a budget priced experience compared to others so you are in a group and so each person only gets so much time in a craft. However they make it great fun with team racing and so on, so you definitely get your money's worth. Also love their hovercraft so they are in great condition and perform really well.

Port Lympne reserve is a amazing place to see animals in vast open spaces and I do highly recommend…read moreto anyone that particularly wants to see a rhino in a large open area or deer type animals but if you are expecting to see penguins, elephants, lemurs etc then this is the zoo for you. Also the zoo is so vast you cant really walk it as some areas are just for the safari truck tours. However you can easily walk to the gorilla viewing area and pass the rhino area by foot and some wild cats. You can also get to the dinosaur park easily on foot and the dinosaur park is a must to do. Ok you say its just plastic dinosaurs but they are so well done and gives you a real scale of how big a dinosaur was and there are so many dinosaurs even some I have never heard of so I highly recommend anyone to go and see these amazing plastic dinosaurs so interesting. The best I have ever seen however it might be a good idea if they could add some dinosaur noise throughout the woods via speakers. So if you want to go on a mini safari, see rhinos or deer type animals or even have a stay with a difference in a tent or tree house then I highly recommend to go along to Port Lympne.

The Crab and Winkle Way is a cycle path / walking route from Canterbury to Whitstable following the…read moreold 'Crab and Winkle' railway line route. It passes through a bit of town and then the university campus before heading out over countryside and farmland. It takes aboiut 3 and a half hours to walk the route and because its a cycle path you do have to be prepared to give way. Nice route, quite interesting, but no facilities whatsoever.
