You can order drinks on the ferry (they don't allow kids). They looked fully booked on resy but when we called, they had plenty of availability and were able to get a same day reservation for a party of 6. They also have a shuttle which takes 25 min that takes you back to white elephant every hour on the half hour (and the ferry which takes 50 min every hour on the hour). The next morning we crossed the street to attend services at Saint Paul's Episcopal. Came back for a quick breakfast down stairs; the coffee was top-shelf, eggs perfectly made, and fresh fruit - can't beat any of that. We left our bag at the Inn, and went in town to shop, sip coffee, and take it all in. Picked up our bag and dropped it off at the Hyline building. Had lunch with local friends at Brant Point. The day, hotel, dinner, church, and lunch was all serendipitous. No negatives. Ship's Inn is one of the absolute best and well known inn and restaurant on the island.
