We were visiting family in Fort Worth and a group of nine of us came here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. There were a number of people already there, but they were able to accommodate us. June is Pride month and they were proud! I wish I had taken pictures of all the Pride decor they had both inside and out (they have a large patio). It was very festive! They describe themselves as "casual, trendy, and LGBTQ+ friendly". Their patio is dog friendly. They also have music bingo on Sunday evenings and that sounds fun! Our server was great! I wish I remembered her name. She handled everything well - indecision, shared meals, lots of cocktails, etc. We did have to order from the brunch menu, but there were plenty of non breakfast options. We all enjoyed our cocktails - and our food. I ordered the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit. It was good, but could have been better. The chicken was overcooked. And there was not enough honey. I would also recommend they use hot honey because that stuff is good! It was all just a little dry. It came with a side so my husband chose the side salad. I stopped in the bearded lady for lunch while in Fort Worth. The interior is very grunge, complete with distressed seating and tables as well as an eclectic collection of decorations and signs. This is not my usual style of restaurant, but some people might find it appealing it. The service was good! Our waitress was nice and got us our food quickly. The restaurant was actually pretty empty for being a Tuesday afternoon. The part that brought my rating down so much was due to the food being very average. My burger did not really taste beefy or char-grilled. Rather, it tasted similar to a frozen patty made at home which I would have enjoyed equally if not maybe more. The fries were not enjoyable to me at all. Fries are my number one comfort food and it hurt me to have to leave most of them on the plate to be trashed, but I just couldn't get them down. I'm not sure if the made the BBQ sauce in house or not, but it was overly smokey and I couldn't eat that either. Normally this wouldn't bother me so much, but my bill came to over $20 for just a burger and fries. It was very overpriced for something that was half not enjoyable and half average. Walked in and there were a few workers just standing around. There was a sign that said please wait to be seated and after about 5 mins of waiting, then were told to sit anywhere. As we're walking to a table, one of the servers tells us to approach a lady at the bar to ask her where to be seated. Just confusion all around... Either we're greeted and seated or wait to be seated. Ambiance was laid back and they had a live musician when we arrived. Now for the food! Blueberry lemon margarita 7/10: this was pretty good and had nice flavor, not overly watered down. Spicy AF burger 6/10: the burger was flavorless and the only flavor came from the jalapeños. The tatie tots were basic, even though they were supposed to have some garlic Parmesan flavor. I saw the Parmesan but didn't taste it or the garlic Grilled cheese 9/10: those that had this enjoyed it and the different type of cheeses made it non standard. Overall good and buttery. The patio here is really cute and perfect for a warm summer day- it has just the right amount of coverage to still be comfortable. Happy hour specials are amazing and most drinks/a few apps are $5. I really enjoyed the flavored margaritas and the fried pickles in particular. I'm not even a huge fan of fried pickles typically but these were crispy and just the right amount of tangy and I devoured the entire plate. I got a cup of mac and cheese as well, which was the perfect snack to go with my drinks. Hot and creamy and just the right amount of flavoring. This was my first stop during the 2025 Fort Wort Burger week - a week where multiple restaurants in Tarrant County offer $7 burgers with proceeds that will go to the Tarrant Coutny Food Bank. I'm glad it began with The Bearded Lady. The Bearded Lady was one of the closer restaurants to me so i decided to try it out. The burger that they offered was the "Spicy AF Smash Burger" which featured two smash patties, ghost pepper jack cheese, fried habanero peppers, roasted jalapenos, lettuce, red onion, and habanero mayo all on a brioche bun. I also got it with tater tots. The burger was great - not too spicy except for parts where it seemed concentrated with jalapenos. Other than that, it offered a nice heat to a flavorful burger. Since I'm so delayed with my reviews, I did also come one other time since for a happy hour. I opted for the pecan pie cider. It was just as you'd imagine - pecan pie in alcohol form. It wasn't too sweet and only made me flushed to the level of a heirloom tomato. Lastly, I want to note that the service here is great. People are friendly and welcoming. It's also a nice vibe inside. If the weather outside is nice, then there's also a good number of outside seating. Overall, highly recommend! read more

Fun, casual bar and grill in Fort Worth. My favorite thing about it is definitely the logo, which is amazing. My friend and I went on trivia night during the holidays. It was moderately full, but our service was pretty awful all night. Also, we were only mildly I treated in trivia, but the person running it was borderline aggressive trying to encourage everyone to participate (though he was very nice). The drink menu is extensive if you're a beer drinker. I had a cider which was very good. I had a grilled cheese for my entree and it was not that great. Maybe it will be better next time. These things have costs and sure they will critique lack of ROI to pay for such things. It's not the music.....it's everything else that makes the musician unsustainable. Lost sales , poor service , judgment. Etc. I have been quiet in the los of service culture for so long and empathetic that the customer might be an a##hole (which may be true here). But somewhere , we flipped the scale and made the customer the burden. Bartenders and their value are a staple of the experience .....don't let the industry believe it's unearned. read more

What an interesting menu! The dill pickle queso and chips were delicious and unique, as well as the pumpkin pie espresso martini. The server was sweet and very attentive even with us sitting outside, and even split the bill perfectly for us. I do feel like it was def on the pricey side, $40 for my cocktail and sandwhich with Mac&cheese side (upcharge for mac). I also didn't love that the tip options were 20, 25, 30 but I digress. out of 5: We end up at The Bearded Lady a few times a year--great for casual dinners with friends or larger groups. The outdoor area is picnic tables and gravel, so maybe skip the sandals. The fenced yard often turns into a kiddo free-for-all, which keeps things lively and low-key. The beer selection is always solid, the Bloody Mary is a personal favorite (request light ice so you can enjoy the flavors even if you take awhile to finish it), and there's something on the menu for everyone. You really can't go wrong with any of the burgers--they're consistently excellent. That said, service can be hit or miss. They sometimes seem understaffed, and you may have to flag someone down. As a millennial, I'd love to see more places offer the option to place orders digitally when staffing is tight--just let us help ourselves a bit more. Still, it's a go-to spot when the weather's nice and you're craving a chill, tasty experience. read more

Stopped here on a suggestion from a nearby bar and so glad we did! The atmosphere & service were great! They carry a sour pickle beer which makes for an amazing Michelada. Loved this, and definitely recommend to pickle lovers! YUM! Started with BEST MAID DILL QUESO - 5/5 so delicious! The chips with it were crispy and just overall a great appetizer BACON WRAPPED JALAPENOS - my friend had these for her main dish as they were out of her first option. She gave these a 3.5/5. They were flavorful but also felt "over done" with the toppings. Legit GC - 4/5 was a pretty standard grilled cheese. Hubby stopped by this friendly local place last night and grabbed some dinner, and brought me home a BYO Burger and a side of Dill Pickle Queso. My burger was a cheeseburger with a perfectly cooked egg and was quite delicious. I don't know that I'd order the queso again. I really really wanted to like this restaurant. The vibe inside is amazing. The waitstaff were awesome and you could tell they knew the menu. We went on a Sunday evening so they were having music bingo. You could play for free and the prize was a $50 gift card. I just loved everything about the restaurant, except the food. We really liked the vibe and setting of the restaurant--it had a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by the poor service we received from our waitress. This was our first time visiting, and since we were all from out of town, we were looking forward to enjoying our last night in Fort Worth. When we asked our waitress for a beer recommendation similar to what we usually like, she gave us a blank look and didn't make any effort to help. She didn't greet us, wasn't friendly, and overall made us feel very unwelcome. What made things worse was that we noticed she was much more attentive and warm to another table that happened to be of the same ethnicity as her, which made us feel even more uncomfortable. After feeling ignored and dismissed multiple times, I finally requested our ticket and asked for the name of the waitress. That's when Amanda stepped in--and honestly, she saved the experience. Amanda was professional, kind, and made us feel like valued customers. If it weren't for her, this would have definitely been a one-star review. We had stopped here for dinner on the same day as another event we had in the area because my wife had been here once before with friends and had a decent time sitting on the patio. It was a rainy day, and so they bearded lady was busy. We had one person drop off our waters, say they are our waitress and would come back to take our drink order, about 15 mins later another waitress stopped by after taking the table next to ours order and asked what food we wanted to order. We didn't see her again until it got to the point we needed to ask for our bill, as a food runner brought out our meals and we never got the drinks we ordered. Though they were not on our ticket so we assume lost somewhere in the void. The food did come out in a reasonable time, so didn't seem to be a kitchen back up, just a front end issue. Food was just ok, not bad but not worth the generally been ignored by staff. There was about 4 people running around for the evening so its hard to tell if they just didn't know how to handle the amount of people. I'll give credit to the girl who had run out our food, the two folks who seemed to be servers took turns just seeming to hang out behind the bar, the last I think was a MOD doing various responsibilities and talking to regulars. With as many local places on this strip of road, I'm glad we went on our own vs with family on this visit, because now we'll recommend going somewhere else after this visit. read more

Just okay. The burgers are dry and over done. The menu says they are done well and you have to ask if you want it different. That's an oversight on my part. The ambiance is nice and they have a patio. This is more of a place you go to for the vibes rather than the food. The service was good. Lord of different craft beers on tap. I'd definitely go back again and give it a second chance but I'm not in a huge hurry. They have different sides which is nice but make sure you see it's an up charge if you get anything but fries. After a day in the sun we settled down on the outdoor patio. Impeccable service with a smile here. I wish every establishment had servers this friendly and work 1/2 as hard. Now we get to my burger. The LUST burger. A 1/2 burger patty that is obviously handmade as packed with flavor. Then the feta and Gouda cheese. Just an little bite of Heaven each time I sank my teeth into it. The bun was not too big either. Our new favorite spot. A great selection of cold craft beers and incredible food.
