Walked in and there were a few workers just standing around. There was a sign that said please wait to be seated and after about 5 mins of waiting, then were told to sit anywhere. As we're walking to a table, one of the servers tells us to approach a lady at the bar to ask her where to be seated. Just confusion all around... Either we're greeted and seated or wait to be seated. Ambiance was laid back and they had a live musician when we arrived. Now for the food! Blueberry lemon margarita 7/10: this was pretty good and had nice flavor, not overly watered down. Spicy AF burger 6/10: the burger was flavorless and the only flavor came from the jalapeños. The tatie tots were basic, even though they were supposed to have some garlic Parmesan flavor. I saw the Parmesan but didn't taste it or the garlic Grilled cheese 9/10: those that had this enjoyed it and the different type of cheeses made it non standard. Overall good and buttery. Would get again.

This was my first stop during the 2025 Fort Wort Burger week - a week where multiple restaurants in Tarrant County offer $7 burgers with proceeds that will go to the Tarrant Coutny Food Bank. I'm glad it began with The Bearded Lady. The Bearded Lady was one of the closer restaurants to me so i decided to try it out. The burger that they offered was the "Spicy AF Smash Burger" which featured two smash patties, ghost pepper jack cheese, fried habanero peppers, roasted jalapenos, lettuce, red onion, and habanero mayo all on a brioche bun. I also got it with tater tots. The burger was great - not too spicy except for parts where it seemed concentrated with jalapenos. Other than that, it offered a nice heat to a flavorful burger. Since I'm so delayed with my reviews, I did also come one other time since for a happy hour. I opted for the pecan pie cider. It was just as you'd imagine - pecan pie in alcohol form. It wasn't too sweet and only made me flushed to the level of a heirloom tomato. Lastly, I want to note that the service here is great. People are friendly and welcoming. It's also a nice vibe inside. If the weather outside is nice, then there's also a good number of outside seating. Overall, highly recommend!

Fun, casual bar and grill in Fort Worth. My favorite thing about it is definitely the logo, which is amazing. My friend and I went on trivia night during the holidays. It was moderately full, but our service was pretty awful all night. Also, we were only mildly I treated in trivia, but the person running it was borderline aggressive trying to encourage everyone to participate (though he was very nice). The drink menu is extensive if you're a beer drinker. I had a cider which was very good. I had a grilled cheese for my entree and it was not that great. Maybe it will be better next time. I'd give it another try!

What an interesting menu! The dill pickle queso and chips were delicious and unique, as well as the pumpkin pie espresso martini. The server was sweet and very attentive even with us sitting outside, and even split the bill perfectly for us. I do feel like it was def on the pricey side, $40 for my cocktail and sandwhich with Mac&cheese side (upcharge for mac). I also didn't love that the tip options were 20, 25, 30 but I digress. Cute area with board games and clean bathrooms. All around pretty good, will come back again to try some of the other peculiar menu items.

out of 5: We end up at The Bearded Lady a few times a year--great for casual dinners with friends or larger groups. The outdoor area is picnic tables and gravel, so maybe skip the sandals. The fenced yard often turns into a kiddo free-for-all, which keeps things lively and low-key. The beer selection is always solid, the Bloody Mary is a personal favorite (request light ice so you can enjoy the flavors even if you take awhile to finish it), and there's something on the menu for everyone. You really can't go wrong with any of the burgers--they're consistently excellent. That said, service can be hit or miss. They sometimes seem understaffed, and you may have to flag someone down. As a millennial, I'd love to see more places offer the option to place orders digitally when staffing is tight--just let us help ourselves a bit more. Still, it's a go-to spot when the weather's nice and you're craving a chill, tasty experience.

Stopped here on a suggestion from a nearby bar and so glad we did! The atmosphere & service were great! They carry a sour pickle beer which makes for an amazing Michelada. Loved this, and definitely recommend to pickle lovers! YUM! Started with BEST MAID DILL QUESO - 5/5 so delicious! The chips with it were crispy and just overall a great appetizer BACON WRAPPED JALAPENOS - my friend had these for her main dish as they were out of her first option. She gave these a 3.5/5. They were flavorful but also felt "over done" with the toppings. Legit GC - 4/5 was a pretty standard grilled cheese. I also had a side of the soup of the day which was an elote corn soup which was a 3/5 for me. The soup wasn't very warm, but did have a lot of flavor. Overall, would definitely come back here if I was in town again and try some other items!

Always a fun spot to grab a beer, or their special cocktails, but don't overlook some of their Burgers! I couldn't resist the BOTM Holly Tamale - which is their 1/2lb Nolan Ryan Burger topped with a Green Chili and Cream Cheese Masa Cake, Mole Sauce and Jalapeno Cilantro Cream. This is a good burger!

We didn't get her name but our server was so sweet and on top of everything, anticipated our every need and she was so funny and cool ! She had black baby bangs and a septum and the coolest tattoos I hope she sees this cuz it was the perfect send off for our trip thank y'all for a great experience !

Ask the Community - The Bearded Lady

Are yall dog friendly for patio seating?

Do they serve food all day on Sunday?

    Yep

Is this spot closed? I just drove by and no sign or lights on?

Closed down their current location on Magnolia on June 27th. But only temporarily! They will be reopening at 300 S. Main this fall with a larger patio, more seating, and a kitchen designed specifically to suit their growing needs.

Are there tables large enough to seat 8 for lunch on a Sat?

Sure! There are several bench-style picnic tables out on the patio.

Do they offer brunch on Saturday as well as Sunday?

    Nope, Sunday 11-2.

For most others, there's plenty of accessible parking and it's kinda tucked away in it's own lot. The burger offered was the "Our Taphouse" - a dry ranch seasoned beef patty with shredded cheese and topped with carmelized onions, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and bacon jam. The burger was definitely good. It's messy since there are some more toppings prone to falling out. I will say that in terms of taste, it was a bit too sweet for my preference. I think it was the combination of carmelized onions and bacon jam that made it too much for me that it overwhelmed the savoriness that I'd prefer to be the main flavor with the burger. This time I didn't dine in personally but I will say that the place looks like it has a nice vibe to it, especially outside. It looks like there's plenty of seating with an area for musicians to perform. I'm looking forward to coming back one day and maybe watching a game and getting a drink.

I'll be going back to try something else off the menu, because the vibe alone is worth another visit.

The double-story building is a large, open Texas beer hall that blends modern and traditional saloon styles with an intentionally eclectic, whimsical vibe reminiscent of a theme park. For instance, the bathroom doors look like jail cells with hands on the bars, while the pristine stalls feature portraits of Merle Haggard and Johnny Cash. I used the Willie Nelson and was "on the commode again". The centerpiece is a huge, three-sided bar adorned with neon signs, vintage Western memorabilia, industrial brewing equipment, and a massive wall of taps. It serves both classics and ready-to-serve frozen drinks, which you can enjoy in the pet-friendly beer garden backyard party. Order you "two pina coladas and hope they fill 'em to the brim if your world is kind of rocky and you need to learn to swim." (That was Garth Brooks or Maya Angelou). The casual, amphitheater-like patio faces an outdoor stage built into the bed of a vintage truck. The live music (even 12:30pm on a Thursday) is loud enough to be festive but managed so you don't have to scream to be heard. The entire area is covered by a massive glass and steel retractable roof, ensuring comfort in any weather, in case you don't "love a rainy night nor think it's such a beautiful sight, and hate to feel the rain on your face, taste the rain on your lips in the moonlight shadows." (That was Eddie Rabbit or SunTzu). The seating options are excellent and varied. Groups can share high-tops around a gas fire or a lit tree, or even sit in kitschy sawed-off pickup truck beds with bench seating. You can also find lounge chairs near the outdoor fireplace, huge swinging benches, and plenty of folding beach chairs on the astroturf. For dining, you can order affordable bar food from a window and receive a pager, so there is no need to "might as well lay down and nap 'cause you've spent half your life just waiting on a nacho." (That was Brad Paisley or Abraham Lincoln).

Fantastic choice! The menu is very "urban hipster" vibes. Plenty of burgers, lots of fun appetizers, charcuterie, one of my friends has some dietary restrictions and they were easily able to accommodate her needs which made us all very happy. This spot has a great bar in the front, and a smaller bar in the rear of the place. Outdoor seating as well as covered seating. Plenty of shade as well which will serve their patrons nicely in the coming Texas summer months. This is also a dog friendly dining spot, plenty of people were there with some amazing canine companions (always ask before you pet a strangers pup, it's just polite and courteous. Almost no one says No!). Assuming you don't have a dog allergy, this will hopefully be a feature. There is a relatively new apartment complex across the street and I get the feeling a lot of the people stopping in were regulars who bring in their dogs during walkies and grab a bite before heading back home, but that is just pure conjecture on my part. Either way, it was a fun inviting atmosphere. The music was nice, not too loud for my old man ears to enjoy but still present enough to be part of the evening without being intrusive. Staff was very nice, helpful, friendly, etc. Everything one would expect from a fine Texas eatery. Lots of spicier options on the menu if you're into that, but by no means anything overpowering. My guess is the owner has stock in some jalapeno growers farm somewhere and the food is all the better for it! If you're in the area already or if you're thinking of branching out for a nice new burger spot, this place is great and I will be returning. I live nearby so it'll likely become part of the regular rotation for us in the coming months. We are spoiled for choice in this area when it comes to good burgers being close to Grumps, close to Kincaid's, and close to Tommy's up on Camp Bowie. But this place competes on good burgers and if you're looking for a fun hangout atmosphere, you'd be hard pressed to find better. Easily recommended! Give them a try, I don't think you'll regret it! Cheers!

I called a girlfriend and told her I'd found a new spot: wine, charcuterie boards, and live music. Sounded like a perfect evening. When we arrived, a young employee did her best to find the hostess and get us seated. After a few minutes, she honestly seemed more flustered than we were, she apologized and offered to seat us herself. We got settled, I ordered a margarita, and then I noticed a large dog roaming around. No leash, no owner in sight. (Later found out the owner owns the bar, the regulars are very familiar with the dog) I looked down at the menu, then looked back up, and the dog was literally face-to-face with me. We got up to leave immediately. A dog-friendly patio? Sure. That's completely fine. But allowing a dog to freely roam throughout both the outdoor patio and the covered upstairs area is baffling to me. (My last visit a dog was on the table, I assumed the young staff just didn't know how to approach the situation, but tonight shows this is how Hideaway operates day in and day out) When I explained my concern to the waitress, she said she understood and asked me to close out my tab for the one margarita I had just ordered and hadn't touched. No ma'am. I'd been there less than ten minutes, and for me, this crossed a line. Clearly, some guests enjoyed it. I saw people petting the dog and calling it over. Different preferences, and that's their choice. But mine is different. I won't be back, and if I recommend this place to anyone, it will come with a warning: dogs aren't just allowed here- they appear to have free rein of the space, whether that's on tabletops, near your food, or directly in your personal space, whether you want that interaction or not.
