The staff were absolutely lovely and I felt at ease straight away. From the minute you walk in to the waiting room you can tell the place is well looked after. It's calming and clean. It was close to Christmas so there were lots of people picking up gift vouchers so I don't think I'm the only one whose a fan! The treatments themselves were great. The girls went through the steps in the treatment and the products they were going to use so I knew exactly what to expect. The facial included a neck/shoulder and scalp massage. I was so close to falling asleep during it! I could feel all my pre-Christmas stress melting away. They also stock the products that they use so you can purchase them afterwards.

I spent 1/2 a day there and had a detoxifying body wrap, facial and luxury pedicure. The staff were very attentive, well trained in there specialisms and they use the best products like ESPA, Clarins, Guinot. I am now an ESPA convert as you can purchase any of the products used on you but you can only get them in ESPA salons, they are expensive but well worth it and last for ages. As for The Retreat its a little more expensive than some of the regular places in the town but you do get what you pay for and it is well worth it and absolutely recommend a visit there for a treat or more often if you can afford to!

I'm not one for waxing and plucking and polishing, though I on't doubt that 95% of the time it might look like I need some. But for some recent bridesmaiding duties, I thought it might be worth investing in something to take the shabby edge off for the big day. Even if I had a monobrow and a hairy chest I wouldn't usually venture anywhere near most salons since you would feel their disapproval a mile off. But the girls at Paris St Clair couldn't be sweeter or less judgemental about how far removed from their polished perfection you are, and they chat happily to you whilst removing a ten-year build-up of foot skin, or trying to form a nail-shape out of the chewed stumps you call fingers, without so much as batting an eyelid. They couldn't be more down to earth or lovely, and the prices are really good, making this a lovely experience from start to finish. This is a little backstreet gem that serves a wide range of customers, from the occasional scruffbags like me, to the regulars who are in and out like clockwork. The girl I live with swears they give the most painless wax she's ever had, and that she'd never go anywhere else. The salon does hair, beauty and also sells accessories and clothing in its each unique style and colours. You can book appointments by phone too and many people come for waxing. The shop is new and has been very popular especially on the run up to major festivals and celebrations. They have a list of all the treatments they provide inside for you to look at and choose from and the staff and very nice and the consultants are also very nice.

There's only one hairdresser available and she's not even full time so you have to book appointments at their convenience, although I couldn't fault the way she used to do my hair, she seems to have left the business now which is a shame as she was really good. Also as I don't work near this salon anymore, I have no incentive to go there without Taj there to do my hair. Manicure was pricey and not very well done, false nails were also not done very well which considering the price was rather disappointing, even the girl who did it admitted they weren't done perfectly and then tried to charge me an arm and leg a few weeks later to remove the mess that she had made! Facial was done well but I'm not sure if it was good value for money. Seemed expensive considering how unrelaxing the surroundings were. Tanning facilities are available as well as other services such as threading, massage, pedicure, etc, although as I've not used these services I can't comment on them.
