Wonderful shop whose sales benefit Newton Hospital Foundation. Great place to donate to for a worthy cause

Other thrift shoppers might rate this higher, but I mostly look for electronics and toys and they didn't have much of that. The store is clean, well organized, and bright and cheery. Their hours are limited. I have come through this area multiple times in the past 6 years on trips and never was able to stop in because they were closed. In summer 2023 I got lucky and visited while on Spring st. picking up dinner. I was very surprised to see how popular the store was when I stopped in- there were more customers here than in any other store in the area. There is not a lot of street parking, but I was able to get a spot nearby. If you are not so lucky, there is a municipal lot well within walking distance. read more

Antique store prices at a thrift store. This used to be a great place to shop, but now they must cross reference pricing with eBay where people are paying premiums for things they collect. But then the inventory does not move - I haven't been there in nine months and the same things are on the shelves. That said, the store is very well organized and impeccably clean. And everything has price tags. I just wish they would go back to thrift store pricing or call themselves an antique store. read more

I love my weekly Beehive visits and they are one of the few things that keep me sane during this whole pandemic. A few things that Covid has put in place are: masks must be worn inside, social distancing is enforced, and dressing rooms are closed for now. The store has also set up a hand sanitizing station for its customers right across from the check-out counter. Their hours have also slightly changed, so please know this before you go. They are now open Tuesdays through Saturday, 10 am- 2pm. As far as donations go, they are only taking newer or like new clean clothing, pocketbooks, shoes and housewares. read more

Used to be a great place to get a deal but now the prices are too high. It seems like an "I sold it on Ebay" store. Maybe it has to do with Atlantic Health taking over Newton Hospital, but the prices were definitely better when Atlantic Healthcare wasn't associated with this thrift shop. read more

Terrible. Over priced. Miserable manager who has no concept of customer service and retention. I was basically a daily customer because I work across the street and would go in at lunchtime. Until today. I've paid for some of the over priced things, then regretted it when I got home, so I started being extremely picky and choosy. But I still managed to find things, so I kept going and sifted through the items they felt were worth more used than new. There is a blanket I like, for example. It's been there for months because it is tagged at $35! It's not even a name brand. Today I found a pot, $15. High for a thrift store, but I've been looking for one, so I decided to get it. Besides, I like to support the hospital. When I went to pay I found I was twenty cents short. I had $14.80. I asked if she would hold it until my lunch hour tomorrow, thinking she would likely say just take it- you're a good customer, i know where you work. She said no. She would not hold it. Really?? Twenty cents was worth losing a daily customer? I'm stunned. Ohh, and by the way, if you get there at 1:30, be prepared for the manager to yell across the store to finish your shopping because the store closes at 2:00. And I mean YELL. It's unnerving and makes shoppers uncomfortable. But as I said in the beginning, she clearly has no experience or training in customer service and/or retention. There are other thrift stores in the area that would love my business. My grandmother helped found the Beehive. She is rolling in her grave I am sure. read more

Overpriced Shirts with Walmart labels are more expensive than new when on sale. Trying to be a boutique. Should have lower prices for people in that area who need the items. read more

Not a bad place, some bargains to be had. Worth a stop to look around! Kind a mix of clothes, housewares, books and furniture. They keep the good clothes up front and clearance in the back. I'm a big fan of reusing vs buying new. This store offers the opportunity to do that while benefiting a charity so what's not to love! read more

They are never open even when they say they are. I work full time, so when I go there on the weekends, I waste a good part of my day for nothing. read more

Wow, what a shop! A thrift shop all neat and well marked. We went to donate some items after moving into our new home in Sparta and bought more than we brought in. Fantastic and everyone there was just delightful and kept thanking us for our donations and our purchases. We shall return! read more

Love it!!! Been past here a few times but never went in. Finally found the time and it was wonderful!!! Beautiful items expertly staged. Clean and organized. Didn't feel like a thrift store until you see the prices!! Got some wonderful stuff with no guilt of overspending! And the staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly!! Who doesn't love a bargain??!! The store is huge and arranged in such a nice manner. The window displays always catch my eye...very nicely displayed. All merchandise is clean and organized. Parking is easy, prices are great and the employees are always nice. It's a win win! read more
