It is located literally in the middle of nowhere! Our GPS told us the spot it would be but we had to drive for a further 3 mins before we came across it. You can definitely spot their handmade sign before you pull into the carpark. YES, they do still serve beer! We arrived at 11.45am, So we decided it was early enough to grab a beer and to order our food. They have Murray's beer on tap. For lunch we got the Pub with no beer burger with chips and sausage, peas, mash and gravy. Food was quick and good. The place was so quiet! We thought it would be busy because it was Sunday lunch but you had more tourists arriving then locals. Staff are very friendly and helpful. They have a lots of tables to choose from to sit, either indoor, outdoor and on the verandah/porch. The furniture on the verandah looks to be hand made with stools carved out of tree trunks! Very arty. Glad to say that we crossed this pub off our list! :)

The dining area is the nicest I've seen in a pub. The wall length seating, paintings and accessories give it a modern beach styling. I also love places where you can squeeze your BBQ or tomato sauce into a little cup just for you. I'm not one for sharing! The pub was dead though. My partner and I were the only ones eating at 1:30pm on a Saturday which I don't think is late and lunch didn't close until 2:30pm. On the plus side we got our meals 10 minutes tops after ordering.

If you want good food in Grafton, this hotel is for you. The prices are good, and the staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome. The only thing I wish they did was bring cutlery to the table when they bring your bread. Each time I have been there, I am often caught out when the meals arrive and go to grab the cutlery and it isn't there. My dining companion loves their Surf N Turf and it is richly made, and they aren't stingy with the seafood. I have the Schnitzel when I go there because I think it is a pub classic.
