We had dinner last Friday night at the club because they offered live free music from 6:00- 9:00PM featuring Josh Callun. What a a talented entertainer! Everyone loved his rich voice and his ability to sing the hits from the 80's to present day. The service, fish fry, grouper special and wine was excellent. A delicious new menu with a few more vegetarian choices with tantalizingly flat breads are a few of the additions .The fish fry was the best ever, piping hot and lightly battered! Over the past year, our experiences have only been positive and the atmosphere with quality food and service makes the Beloit Club a pleasure to frequent! Thank you! read more

This review is based on events/weddings. Coming here as both a guest and as a wedding photographer, I can say with confidence this is one of my favorite wedding/event venues out there. First of all, it's gorgeous. Every inch of the building can be used as a backdrop to a picture, and even though I haven't personally played it, from what I've seen from the clubhouse, the golf course is in fantastic shape, too. The whole building mixes modern and classic sophistication, and you definitely feel luxurious being here. Their food is so good. I've had several meals here from the catering side of things and all of them were delicious. The filet I had tonight was the icing on the cake--definitely my favorite and so tender and flavorful. The staff are really the thing that shine here though. The wedding coordinator, Megan, is a boss and makes every detail of the day run super smoothly. She's also very attentive and helpful. Just one example, she made sure my dairy allergy was taken care of, something that usually doesn't happen at big events since it's such a little detail. That kind of care goes a long way for me and shows how much care is involved. The rest of the wait staff are all super friendly and helpful, too. the staff is not very nice. quite rude to say the least. the food is great and the place is nice but the staff needs some serious work.

Our family ate the brunch at the club. The food was good, but the staff were not. My daughter went to use the restroom and all the toilets were clogged with toilet paper and full of brown sewage water. I told the staff, and we were told that we choose to eat at the club and that if we had a problem with it to go home and use our own toilet because no one was forcing us to use their toilets. He didn't have a name badge. No staff did unclog the toilets by the time we left, and ALL (multiple) toilets sat with waste in them the time we were there. What a terrible and unacceptable experience we had. read more

This place is brand new. For those that don't know, the old country club was completely demolished and this architectural beauty was constructed. We are not currently members but we were invited to a dinner last night so I can comment on the food and service. Just a note of caution...the dinning/bar and club in general is for Members Only. The atmosphere is very sophisticated and upscale. From the person that greats you at the entrance to the furniture and layout of the bar. The bar area is constructed much like an upscale hotel lounge. They had a huge variety of beers on tap, mostly local which I loved. Beers from New Glarus, Ale Asylum, WBC, and more. They also have some nice bar snacks on the table so you can snack while drinking. Once we were seated, the menu selection is diverse and reaches to satisfy any palate. They have vegetarian options and are very flexible. In speaking with the GM, he was saying the menu and beer selections vary on a week to week basis. I tried the pear/nut/blue cheese salad which was probably one of the best salads I have tasted in my life. The combination of flavors and the crunch of the candied nuts (sorry its killing me, can't remember if it was almonds or walnuts...either way it was AWESOME) was spectacular. They also had this glaze of dressing that was so light yet flavorful....I could have eaten three bowls. Next we tried the mushroom ravioli. It was well done. You could tell the ravioli was fresh, with the pasta being slightly al dente and the sauce, peppers, and parmesan in the center was the perfect accompaniment. The dessert was interesting. I had a snickers pie which was good, but difficult to eat. Each time i tried to put my fork in it, it was so hard, the pie went flying across the table. My wife had a pistachio pastry thing, that looked very pretty, but was ok in flavor. Overall the revamped Beloit Country Club is a welcomed addition to the community. The space they have available for parties upstairs in the club can accommodate over 300 people. We did take a tour of the facility and are trying to find out rates so we could maybe use the pool and dine there since we don't play golf. The pool is huge and actually has a kids area with water structures and fountains/waterfalls. I do wish they had a workout area to justify the cost for non-golfers but the building is not 100% complete, so we will have to see what happens. read more

My review is based on having a day pass from Hotel Goodwin. 1. The property is beautiful, I would say 5 star for everything I got to see. 2. We came to swim in the pool but in only my luck fashion someone had taken a dump in the pool. So we just went over to the bar for a drink or 2 3. The clubhouse bar was awesome, the bartender was late so some girl was trying to fill in and ended up giving us a practice drink for free and it was actually really good. 4. We sat out on the back deck area overlooking the driving range and the course itself and it was super relaxing with a drink, they have comfy seating and a really nice fire pit. 5. On our way out we made dinner reservations for 6PM. They had a 200 person wedding all in the upstairs area and we still never had any problem finding a back patio table or having to wait for any kind of service. We enjoyed ourselves soo much we are now looking into joining the club. read more

I went to this club for a wedding last night! The venue was beautiful and very clean and nice! The steak we had was very good! The pasta was okay not my favorite. The only problem I had was with some of the staff being rude. Me and some of my friends were stranded at the club and couldn't find a ride. No Uber or lifts around. I talked to the manager and he was absolutely no help and basically said he couldn't help us find a ride. Which I understand it's our responsibility but we aren't from around there and we were screwed. You'd think he would help at least somewhat but he was rude. Also the bartender started pouring my drink super light by my 3rd one! Like a 1/2 shot! When they paid for an open bar! I say they were kinda ripping them off there. I would've been mad if I were the bride and groom. Nathan was great and the only nice one that was working. If everyone who worked there could be like Nathan it would've been a better experience. read more

Great place for parties of 150-175 people. They delivered everything as promised and even provided ways to help keep the cost down. The banquet room overlooks the beautiful golf course and includes an outdoor patio with firepit for those who want to sit outside for a break away from the crowd. I strongly recommend the Country Club of Beloit for this size party. read more
