The family that runs this is awesome. You can tell they put their heart and soul into creating a welcoming experience for their guests to enjoy that is unforgettable. Our parents especially loved the musician playing live music. Our children loved the Hibatchi Dinner! They were completely skeptical at first...it wasn't exactly the same as eating in a Hibatchi restaurant, but once they understood the buffet format and that they could have as much as their hearts could enjoy, they were in love. The captain had a great personality, set expectations of areas that could get especially windy, but our trip couldn't have been smoother or more enjoyable. He also allowed our kids a chance to steer the boat! The bartender made great drinks and all the serving staff were so kind. Btw, the bathroom was so clean and we have a huge appreciation for clean bathrooms and nice running water on a boat. I would recommend this experience to anyone! I've been to Biloxi many times but this was the first time I had a chance to do a boat ride! It was beautiful, educational and lots of fun! The captain and crew were really helpful and friendly. I was able to start a tab for snacks and drinks. My son enjoyed his snowball, popcorn and coke. They even had a bar and signature cocktails. There was enough room for all of us to spread out and enjoy the scenery. I enjoyed the captain narrating and then putting on some jams. The crew made sure we were well taken care of. You could tell they enjoy what they do. This is worth every penny and those 2 hours fly by! I didn't get sea sick, there's plenty of shade and you can sit inside in the a/c to enjoy your drinks. The boat ride views and the staff were really nice but that was probably it. When I seen hibachi cruise.. I thought someone was cooking us hibachi in front of us while we were on the sunset ride. Nope. The food was not good, AT ALL. Evidently the meals were premade in advance because my meal was cold. We were a party of 9 but there was not enough egg drop soups for everyone. We were not asked if we wanted maybe extra food to compensate for the ones with no soup. My fried rice was hard, the steak was over cooked, the vegetables were hard. The servings were small. No desserts. For $55 per person, it was disappointing and not worth it. read more

We took the Eco/Historical cruise 7/27/22 and it was very relaxing!! The captain was very informed on both the local history as well as the geological/naturism. This is an awesome short cruise to take. The food was chicken and shrimp asian cuisine that was cooked to perfection by Chef Hurley. The crew are so attentive and live performance by Johnny Funk was above excellent. Captain Mike is so good at letting you know exactly what is going on. It was a full house and the crew on the boat were superb, attentive and very courteous gentleman and a lady. The bathroom was clean, pleasant, accommodating and spacious. The view was spectacular. Went on the boat with my husband and in-laws. This was so much fun, the food was very good and the music was alright too. We enjoyed the 2 hour ride. Fun cruise but NO DESSERT and LOUD KIDS -My girlfriend was here from New York and we decided to take a trip to Biloxi and New Orleans for the weekend. We looked online to see if there was anything to do besides gamble and so we saw that there was a river boat cruise and I love riverboats. We made the reservation online two days prior and then went to the dock. It is boarded between golden nugget and Margaritaville very easy to find. We just went up to the front of the boat and they had her name on a list. We got a seat on the top where there was a table and sat down with our drinks. The food was served right after the boat took off. The drinks were very reasonably priced ---I believe the mixed drinks were five dollars and we had two wine coolers and they were only three dollars each. We should've used more mushrooms and more typical hibachi style vegetables. It wasn't horrible tho- but where was the dessert?????The food was not the part that was a bit disappointing. The fact that there were kids running and screaming all over the place that drove both of us crazy. In fact many of us adults said that there should be an adult only cruise in the evening. The adults didn't even bother to tell the children to behave or be quiet as we were trying to enjoy a relaxing cruise and had to hear screaming and crying kids- Alcohol is being served and I did not feel that this is a place that children needed to be at. They should just go on a day cruise if they want to do that. The music was great as was the band and the service was fantastic! They always asked us if we wanted more to drink and if they could clear our table. I definitely would recommend it but I again highly recommend the owners to think about the kids being on board. read more

We went out on the Betsy Ann Riverboat this evening for their "murder mystery" event. For $35 per person you receive a two-hour boat ride, a buffet dinner (chicken, ham, potatoes, green beans, bread, and a brownie), all-you-can-drink iced tea and/or water, and an active roll (if you wish) in their "Murder Mystery." The food was okay. I was expecting a lot more variety and quality, but my expectations are generally high. The staff was friendly, though I wish that they had been better actors and memorized their lines/story. They were reading from scripts. I wish it had been a little more realistic. But it was our first ever experience with any type of "murder mystery." Perhaps that is the way it's typically done... meh... They have a cash bar so you can purchase alcoholic beverages. It's a bit pricey in my opinion: $5 mixed drinks in tiny cups. If you don't have cash you must buy at least $20 worth of drinks to use your credit card for payment. That sucks... and is illegal by the way. I didn't say anything about it to the bartender, but it's illegal to require a minimum purchase in order to use a credit card. (remember that next time you're at a gas station with no cash for a pack of gum!) We did have a nice time though! That being said, however, we'll probably try some other local places before heading back to the Betsy Ann. read more

This surprisingly ended up being the highlight of our trip to Biloxi. We saw the boat docked near our hotel room and looked it up. It offered a few different excursions, and because of our timing ended up having to take the Hibachi Dinner Cruise. We just thought it would be nice to get away from the smoke filled casinos and noise. We get aboard , the live music was playing, gentle wind blowing, the wonderful smell of dinner cooking...!!!!! We set out, the sun is setting, and then dolphins are chasing the boat!!!!!!! What?????? This was not only our first time on Betsy Ann's Steamboat but also our very first Murder mystery. We didn't know what to expect and actually we'd already eaten when we stumbled across it. The Captain allowed us to come aboard and participate and it is just what we needed. The staff was very warm and inviting and made the night fun and all the guests feel welcomed. Long story short the Captain's wife found out about our story, which I won't relay on her, and she was exactly what our family needed. She was just so sweet and compassionate to us and all the guests. My experience with the Betsy Ann Riverboat was a very puzzling one. My wife and I were asked to leave after I politely pointed out to the waiter that we had been overlooked for service while others coming in after us had been served. The owner of the boat approached our table and said, "I heard that you accused one of my crew of waiting on white customers before waiting on black customers." When I told him that that is not what I said but simply pointed out what happened, he said, "Well this my boat and I'm asking you to leave; I'll refund your money". We took this excursion on 7/29/19 and really enjoyed it! The boat is comfortable and sound. The captain and crew are so kind and super accommodating. I really enjoyed the history given and the awareness of the ecological impact on the area that Captain Mike told us about. The food was very good, the live music was fun, the dance floor was full and of course the views were amazing. The Captain and his wife, who own and run the ship, speak to everyone. The crew are great and local. They make sure every guest is taken care of, has what they need, clean guests areas of empty plates and glasses, bring them drinks and will stop and visit with the guests and share info about the area.
