The store is small and compact but filled to the rafters with bikes and bike parts. The best thing about shopping like this is that the staffs years of experience means they are able to advise you properly on what bike to buy. Handy when you are taking a quickly growing child for a bike. The prices are reasonable and there is something to suit every budget. They also stock all the extras you could need and bikes come fully assembled. You can also get your bike serviced here.

I went to get my bike "fixed" nearly 2 months ago and it's now worse than when i dropped it off! Staff member told me to wait whilst he checked over my buke and never told me my bike was ready so i was left ealking around the shop for over an hour! Then when i picked it up they said they couldn't find an issue and charged me £95!!!! I then went back a week later and the guy told me to come back in a week when the other tech is back (probably because he couldn't be bothered) and when i came back to get it checked again he told me to come back in a month. So i waited and when i went back yesterday for them to fix it they just said they haven't prded the part so they can't fix it! This really p***ed me off!!

The good thing about when you buy a car Cd player from there is that they will fit it for free for you. Also if you are interested in buying any of the more expensive car wheels then if you want they will set up a payment plan with you, making it more affordable. The shop is really organised and well laid out as bits to do with bikes etc are together and so on. The staff are really helpful and are happy to advise you on which product is most suitable for you.

From fairly low-price goods through to high-end brands, they offer stock for most budgets. You can also get your bike repaired and serviced by experienced staff and they supply parts by dozens of cycling brands such as Rock Shox, Endura, Truvativ, Shimano, Mavic, Avid, etc. The staff are all cycling experts, and are knowledgeable on local issues such as good biking trails and Cardiff's Bike To Work scheme - so you can find out all sorts by having a chat with them. This is where local business beats the big national chains…read more National chains usually employ someone who looks decent enough, doesn't have a criminal record and can just about string a sentence together without swearing. They don't care if they have any knowledge or passion about the product they are selling. The people working at the Bike Shed know their stuff and you can tell - their enthusiasm is infectious. They don't won't to sell you a bike to make money, they want to find you the right bike so you enjoy biking. That's why I bought a bike off them that I ride all the time. If you're after a bike or just some advice - pop in here -there is no hard sell just friendly advice.

We wander through the aisles, knowing what we are looking for (a lock and a chain for his bike) but unsure where to find them in amongst all of the other equipment. The confusion must show on our faces but all of the sales people are busy so we eventually manage to navigate ourselves in the right direction. Looking at the large range of locks on offer we frown a little at how expensive they are but decide to go for it anyway. Then, he realises he's forgotten his wallet and we have to leave anyway. A few days later, his bike was stolen. The moral of the story is a) always buy a lock for your bike and b) make sure you go back to this shop, where they sell everything you could possibly want for your bike. And if it's not in stock?
