Stopped here for a Saturday night meal. Good is limited on the estate, but looking at the menu walking out of the winery- it was worth a shot. We ordered drinks and a couple of appetizers - sharing the bruschetta and Caesar salad, along with the French onion soup. The bruschetta was good - on focaccia bread rather than the usual slices of Italian loaf- which added an additional flavor level and it was good. The arugula spinach salad was also good in the middle. Caesar salad was standard, and the French onion soup was very good - onions were cooked down and it had a very deliberate taste to it. For my meal I ordered the ribeye which came with squash and a sweet potato purée underneath. I would have liked to have more of the purée, it was more of a garnish than a side dish to the meal. Steak was cooked properly medium. We shared the blackberry cheesecake for dessert which was cut in bar form rather than a slice - which I really liked. Felt like I got a proper portion of it. Overall, very good - price point a little higher than expected but still very good.

We came in after our Biltmore tour for our anniversary. We had Rob for our server who was phenomenal and treated us so well. Down to personality, attentiveness and professionalism we were very impressed. Thank you so much rob and to bistro for having great taste in service!

Dessert- all gluten free, atop a raspberry puree (that I may or may not have licked clean from the plate it was so good)

If you want high quality, carefully constructed meals for a reasonable price, look no further than the Bistro! We originally went to the restaurant next door, but it had too up-tight a vibe, whereas this place had higher ceilings, better lighting, and an overall more cozy aesthetic. We did the 3-course meal option for lunch: Appetizer: a whipped creamy salmon dip for my side of GLUTEN FREE TOAST (the server was VERY accommodating to my gluten sensitivity and made substitutions without making me pay extra, like most restaurants do) Main: steak frites with a whipped herb butter and fries- cooked to perfection at medium rare, immensely juicy and not too chewy like steak w/ frites usually is Dessert: assortment of GLUTEN FREE tarts, chocolate truffles, and a mini key lime pie atop a raspberry puree. absolutely GORGEOUS, and made for fantastic photos ahah.

Food is spectacular--Our Caesar salad opened the evening on a promising note--lovely visible shavings of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese on a well dressed salad. P.E.I. Mussels, a delightful seafood melange with , even more so after our waitress re-seated us since there was a large group of a dozen people shrieking as if they were in their living room! I would love to go back again

Atmosphere is great, manager great, but that cannot cook a proper egg. Maybe try the shrimp and grits or the burger. The farm house breakfast was again improperly cooked.

Theeeee BEST French onion soup! Wonderful gracious service from all their staff!!! Excellent restaurant at the Biltmore Estate Antler Village across from the wine shop.

got the trout with parisian gnocchi, loved the flavor of the trout and came with a really flavorful broth. the gnocchi had a unique texture/flavor, not like potato gnocchi you'd usually get at a restaurant. only thing i didn't love is that i only got about 4 pieces of gnocchi, i understand it's a side dish but it still seemed like a very small amount. very quiet and peaceful environment, server was nice and helpful with any questions.

Excellent service, fantastic food. We had a corner booth and it was very private. Our server was helpful and polite, she always had a smile on her face! The trout was delicious!!!

Small Plate of Brussel Sprouts and Calamari

The family and I visited Asheville and Biltmore this Christmas Holiday, and on the second day of our visit after attending Candlelight Christmas Evening at the Biltmore house we explored Antler Hill Village and the Winery. We stopped into the Bistro just across from the Wine Shop for lunch. The staff were very welcoming and we had just a 15-20 minute wait. We ordered the Brussels Sprouts and the Calamari as shareable appetizers, and they were absolutely amazing. Our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable of the menu and carefully answered any and all questions we had. The restaurants here at Biltmore are very committed to "farm-to-table" cooking, and it is evident by the deliciousness and freshness of the food. We also started with the Turnip and Rutabaga Bisque, which was the Soup Du Jour. It was a hit with all of us, and it was a terrific way to warm up after a day of exploring the grounds on a cool, crisp December afternoon. Calamari is often our thing we it is offered on the menu of a new restaurant, and it was perfectly cooked, but I think the family liked the Brussels Sprouts more. They raved about them, and so did I. We liked them so much that we all plan to try to prepare them at our respective homes at some point the same way. For dinner, we all actually had the Farm Burger, made with estate-raised beef, prepared to our individual liking. We loved it so much! I had my fries served with Ranch Dressing, which is made in-house, and it was so creamy and delicious as well as so much better than any store-bough Ranch Dressing. For dessert, we all shared the Caramelized Apple Cheesecake. We liked it, but it was not exactly what we expected. We all discussed that we expected a larger serving for the price with baked-in caramelized apples instead of what was actually served. However, it had a great taste and was a light and delightful way to end our meal. Thanks for making our Christmas vacation to Asheville and Biltmore so enjoyable with an amazing dining experience.

That said, the prices felt a bit high for what we got. It is definitely a touristy stop, and unless we wanted to drive into town, there were not a lot of other convenient choices. Our package included breakfast, but when I asked whether gratuity was included, we were told it was not. Having worked in a hotel years ago, I feel that should be made very clear up front. We didn't want anything too formal. My wife and I shared some apps and salad. We flittered away the time talking, people watching, and deciding what wine to drink and what to order next on the menu. We had a great time. Our burrata app was super fresh tasting, soft and mild. The candied pecans, lettuce and tomatoes gave it just enough punch of flavor. We could've just kept ordering that, it was so good. But, our strawberry salad with grilled chicken was fresh, bright and tasty addition to our afternoon of relaxed eating. We finished of our time with a strawberry coconut cake. The sponge cake was moist and mild. The layers of cream in between the cake layers were soft and creamy. The frosting with coconut on top was also mild; alittle more taste than whipped cream, but not too sugary. You could see the coconut on top, but it didn't overpower the dish. Overall, a great place to hang out and get comfort food. We are definitely going back for more.

I'm here for my eldest son's birthday and of course our first dinner here, with his wonderful group of friends would of course be at The Admiral Restaurant; most likely the best restaurant in town. I've been to The Admiral several times before, so I'm making this review an updated version of just how good a place can still hold its reputation. For a restaurant so damn good, there is nothing fancy about it. It's set up like a small town diner; and that's what makes it so much comfortable. The service is spot on and their menu has so many wonderful choices at not "break the bank" prices. Us six diners ordered: * Caesar salad - for a southern restaurant making a Caesar this good, it was enchanting! It had Croutons, Parmesan and Anchovy * Ribeye Steak - see above accolade! With tallow confit potatoes, glazed carrots, chimichurri, goat cheese * Cheeseburger with fries - a mile high beauty with Cheddar, Dijonnaise, B&B Pickles, grilled Onion, and fries - was enchanting * Beef Tartare - with chile aioli, mustard seed, chive, ramp, black garlic, egg yolk * Smoked Trout Mantecato had black pepper-parmesan toast, Furikake, yuzu tobik * Airliner Chicken Breast with crispy red rice, tomatoes, romano beans, herb Every dish above was excellent. We walked in without a reservation, sat down, and had the kind of long, unhurried dinner that feels increasingly rare. Nobody rushed us. They let us share plates without hesitation. The menu is billed as New American, and that's the right phrase for it -- genuinely eclectic, pulling from Spanish, French bistro, and Southern influences without committing to any one of them. The pork chop was excellent. The grilled carrots were genuinely memorable. The green salad was simple and well done. Our waiter recommended a wine that we were pleased with, and even offered a tasting. The wine list is deep for a room this size, and the cocktail list looks the same. Music was at that sweet-spot volume where you can hear your conversation partner and still hear the song. You could bring your parents, or come on a date, it works either way. Some farm-to-table places feel pretentious; this one doesn't. They don't make you feel dumb for not knowing every local distributor. One small gripe: a 3% "kitchen staff fee" printed on the back of the menu. I'm all for paying the kitchen, but I'd rather see it built into the prices up front. 4.7 Stars. What would push it to a solid five stars: drop the hidden fee and bake it into the menu prices. That's genuinely the only thing standing between this and a perfect night out.
