The Black Horse Hotel and pub is one of the mainstays of Grassington, always busy and always friendly. Originally a 17th century coaching Inn.
Situated just off the main cobbled square in Grassington.
A great outside seating area greets you as you walk in, however the entrance is up stone steps, so not great for wheelchair users. (They are great at accommodating you if you need any assistance)
Dog friendly.
Large eating area inside and a dining room to the back, this is a traditional pub, well presented and clean. Roaring log fires and very cosy in the winter.
Great selection of beers, cask ales etc,, and a comprehensive wine list with modern and traditional wines.
The food is fantastic from the homemade soup, through to the traditional and unusual, you will not be disappointed. (I never have been.) It is the little touches that mean so much and here they do everything they can to please you!
Great for a lunch before, during, or after a tour of the village, and comfy cosy if you have been walking. In the evening ,have a special dinner in the dining room. They also do functions, and have 15 rooms, one I believe has a four poster in it.
Last time I was there they were having a domino tournament and the traditional pub games are available to all, darts etc.,
I have only given four stars as I cannot comment on the rooms as I have not seen them! If I had maybe it would be 5! read more
