Very nice The restaurant at our hotel had already finished breakfast service (10:00am) so we came here with a friend who lives not too far away. We just needed something light to hold us until another friend met us for lunch. Two orders of Granola (Blueberries, raspberries, Greek yoghurt, English borage honey), an order of Smashed Avocado on Sourdough Toast (Crumbled feta, toasted pumpkin seeds), tea and coffee, satisfied the void. All of our food was fresh, well prepared, and nicely presented. The portions were adequate and the prices reasonable. The service was also very good. Nothing to complain about. It was a nice place and a good experience.

The waitress ripped the drink menu out of my husband's hands to show him the fizzy drinks, instead of asking to show him or even having them memorized, mind you they don't have many so it's easy to remember. We had all asked for water, but she only brought one drink glass and gave it to my husband. When she wasn't with us, she was chatting to her friend who is sitting by the computer on what I'm assuming was a break. So there really wasn't an excuse as to why she didn't bring more cups. Once we received our food, a new server came out who had replaced her. He was nice. But didn't do much. As there wasn't much to be done at this point. All in all, it was an OK experience that we won't be repeating. Again, the food is good but not worth the price you pay. The total ended up being around 60 pounds for three meals to me if I'm going to be paying that much I expect something that will make me want to come back. For the amount I paid, I would much rather spend it at The Sun in Felmersham. At least with the price I'm paying there. I know I'm getting the best quality of everything. The service is also wonderful there. Lesson learned.

As there was couple of us, we all chose three dishes to share. Each all looked amazing. The prawns, chorizo, mussels, meatballs, hummus, sun dried tomatoes salad, mushrooms, fried halloumi sticks, the skewers, pate, avocado toast, and croquettes. Everything was really good apart from it being slightly different from the states. The only downside, the skewer were a bit dry but presented beautifully. Everything was quite tasty and plenty to share for what we've ordered. Mussels were quite tasty in the sauce, chorizo was really good. Pate was more of sliced meat versus a spread. Service was great, staff was really friendly and chatty which was great. They ended the night for us with a little cocktail shot which was quite nice. Small, friendly, a nice location just off the main shopping area, reasonably priced and generous portions. The food was delicious and worth venturing over for whether you are local or not! We had crisp halloumi, spiced aubergine with minced lamb, chilli peppered squid, pork belly and chips, a lovely crisp Pinot Grigio (my friend's a white drinker) and a couple of liqueur coffees. All this for £30 a head including a tip. The staff were efficient, attentive and charming. Young and energised, I loved the way all the front of house staff presented one table with a birthday dessert and sang with evident delight to the guest. We were made to feel very welcome despite booking a late table and the arrival of a large party of blokes who'd evidently been out for a Christmas get together added to the very European feel of this little gem.
