It's a bit off the beaten path, but The Black Horse is a cozy spot with plenty of space and tasty variety for lunch and dinner.
We had a company event in a side room which was nice and private for a group of 20, and everything was fabulous, etc. Don't worry there's plenty of space for the rest of you in the main part of the restaurant.
The scallops and sea bass were both amazing, with a bonus of crispy bacon adorning the scallops. Too bad the Brussels weren't also crispy, but we can't get everything we want.
The steak had good reviews by those who ordered it (tip: order one less temp than you want since rare was medium rare). Vegan pot pie or whatever that was didn't look appealing, but the brownie/ice cream dessert made amends.
Speaking of desserts I probably should have gotten the crème brûlée, and generally the desserts all looked great. Service was excellent and hopefully we'll return soon. read more
