2nd update for the super black lion inn returned for sund lunch sund 20th oct 2019 wow I had roast pork this time so tender nice piece of crackling veggies were swede carrot batons and cabbage and an extra jusg of gravy due it being out of season it was quieter than usual we booked for noon had a starter one pate whichwas really liver liver liver nice sourdough lots of butter and my prawn cocktail was huge nice brown hovis bread couldnt fault it husb had black sheep shandy we parked at the back which is soo handy as you can hv hours of mooching we bought some REAL expensive art love Richmond read more

Amazingly friendly staff, lovely environment and great food. Mushrooms starter was to die for. Highly recommend.

We were advised by someone that could actually engage in basic conversation to try this pub out. It turned out to be ok, with a friendly landlord, who pulled a rather yummy pint of bitter. The fact that some of the locals looked like Danger Mouse characters, and were exceptionally nosey, was not enough to put me off .. read more

We ordered a wide selection, and without exception all of the food tonight was super good. It was obvious everything had been freshly prepared and cooked to order. The home cut/cooked chips are the best I've had in a very long time. Food was served hot, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Attentive but not intrusive. This was our first visit to The Farmers Arms and I would have no hesitation in returning. A real gem for the local area.
