Beef Wellington appetizer.

I ordered the shrimp and grits. These came out like warm and the flavor was meh! The waitress was great and took it back. Which got me hot grits but shrimp was the same as I sent back. Hubby had the salmon over veggies and his was at least hot. The restaurant was not full and the service was good but I was disappointed for what I thought would be an upscale meal.

Baby spinach wilted salad.

The restaurant has exceptional tasting food. The presentation is pleasing as well. It really won't matter what you order, it's all good!

We stayed at the Historic Blennerhasset for 4 nights and thought it was a lovely experience. The staff must go through some customer service training because they were all top notch. From the front desk, the restaurant, the bar, the wait staff, and behind the scenes staff, it was all good! I needed a refrigerator one evening so I stopped by the front desk to request one. Normally it takes some time but the staff with my fridge was on my elevator as I went to my room. The rooms were clean and very comfortable, the beds and towels refreshed every day, no complaints!! Live music on Friday evening In the lounge and the place was quite lively due to a wedding party! The only disappointment was I inquired about a facial online with the spa within the hotel and never got a response. I'm not sure if that's part of the hotel or not. Otherwise 2 thumbs up!!

You HAVE to stay here. I have stayed at this hotel twice not and will continue to stay here. The rooms are always extremely clean and well cared for. The haunted stories and history within the hotel makes it all the more special. If you're ever in or around Parkersburg - this place is a MUST STAY!

I'm only giving it 3 stars because the staff was welcoming and observant. We stayed in a room on the third floor for 2 nights and I noticed the morning of checkout that there was something that appeared to be mold in the bathroom above the door. We did not eat at the restaurant.

I always make sure to stop in at The Blennerhassett in downtown Parkersburg when I'm in town visiting family! This is one of my favorite cocktail bars inside of the hotel. It's nice, quiet and they have very friendly bartenders that are always willing to give a good recommendation for a drink. Make sure and stop in on your next visit to Parkersburg, WV!

A work trip back to Parkersburg, WV led me here. The style of lodging was renaissance-like with a colonial type of flair. Figured I'd check it out after staying at Marriotts the majority of the time. The design of everything is classic and traditional. Not sure I was feeling it since I'm more modern with my hotels. Also if you want a fridge, you have to request one for your room which they will add. Perks included having a hotel bar and Brunello restaurant downstairs along with a coffee bar avail in he mornings. The bar does close at 10 on weeknights which is weak. Hotel bars should be open until at least 11 on weeknights. Would make staying in a city like PKG more bearable. Silver lining is the polite and friendly front desk. They've helped me with email and hotel keys when not working so I'm grateful for their efforts.

When you charge $55.00 for a 6oz filet mignon you don't charge your customers 3% on top of your bill for using a credit card.

Our room was modern, with excellent lighting. The beds were very cozy and comfortable. Breakfast offered several hot items as well as the continental breakfast standards. The coffee makers were the type that grind the beans to order, so I was very happy with my coffee. My only complaint is that the parking lot is very small. We had to park behind the hotel and the back entrance was locked when we arrived at 9:30 pm.

The competition was fully booked so this was our second choice. The parking area seemed small…read more The lobby was decorated with halloween items. The room was nice. The seating area is a perfect location for luggage. The refrigerator and microwave are convenient. The ice machine wasn't working on our floor. We got ice in the lobby. The items are convenient and a tad high. Let's face it. If you are tired and have several microwave items in front of you, you'll get something. The ice machine was out of order on our floor but I used the machine in the lobby. The elevator floor was dirty. Our room was clean. The pool has a jacuzzi. We considered going in but other guests were there. We didn't want to be in a crowded small space. The beds are comfy. The most annoying detail was the refrigerator making a lot of noise. The black out curtains were great. Breakfast starts at 6am. The setup is convenient. There are several hot items, including egg omelettes, biscuits & meat patty's. The grab and go items were muffins, bagels, sweet rolls and hard boiled eggs. There was a variety of cereals and oatmeal. I have never seen a continental breakfast with to go boxes. That is convenient for parents with kids in the room or people wanting to get on the road.
