Here's why they get 5 stars- I needed to send some flowers. I needed to send them same-day. Yes, I was a little behind with my personal organization skills...but it was a necessary last-minute purchase. It was my mother's birthday...and my wife reminded me of that fact. I browsed the florists/flower delivery options in the Altus area. The only one I found with a decent rating (and only 1 review) was The Blossom Shop. Sometimes you just can't tell with only 1 review if the service/quality will be consistent or not. But, I didn't have much of a choice - so I trusted. The ease of ordering off of their website was as good as it gets. Before I completed the order, I called the shop just to make sure everything was good & that the arrangement could be delivered same-day (just like the order screen indicated). The nice lady on the phone informed me that one flower pictured on the website in the arrangement I chose was not in stock. She offered a replacement flower - to which I agreed. Then she assured me that the delivery would go out "soon." After a little over an hour, I checked back with the shop & they had already delivered the arrangement! I double checked with my mom just to be sure. She confirmed that it had indeed been delivered & she loved it! Yay! If I ever need to send flowers in the Altus, Oklahoma area again...I'll call up The Blossom Shop without any hesitation! read more

This review is solely based on me receiving an arrangement from the Blossom Shop. They called to make sure I was home for delivery and since I was in town already, I decided just to go pick it up. Since they didn't have to deliver it, they gave me a box of chocolates to make up for the delivery charge. That was pretty awesome, not many places do that in my experience. My mom (who sent the flowers) said that they were great to talk to and order over the phone. She had a few specific requests which lined up perfectly with their style. After having the rottenest, nastiest business experience ever at another flower shop in Altus, we went to the Blossom Shop and had the exact OPPOSITE experience! We were greeted, asked what we needed. We said we needed flowers for my brother's funeral and what did they have. Immediately the woman began pulling out books and told us that if they did not have the flowers, they would order them from their wholesaler and have them the next day! Unless of course they were out of season. We found an arrangement that was out of season, but the lady said she could create something in similar colors ... then ran to the cooler and came out with a handful of flowers with the appropriate color palate that we desired, and said she would create a casket spray for us. Super friendly, super professional, super sympathetic ... just the experience a grieving family needs. When we then saw the arrangement after it was delivered, it was simply PERFECT! A very beautiful job. I cannot recommend these kind folks highly enough. Oh, and other flowers that were sent by family and friends from this shop were simply beautiful. Sent a horrible arrangement full of fillers that loooked like sticks. Charged twice the price for the flowers that were sent. Guess they thought since some from out of state sent them they could use crap and I 'd never know. read more

After finding only three floral shops in Altus, OK, I looked at the one that had two reviews. I placed a phone order and specifically asked for a yellow and white sunny bouquet to be sent to a niece that was new to the area and having a difficult time adjusting. The guy that took my order said no problem that they had plenty of yellow and white daisy flowers. When my niece sent me a picture of the flowers, the only yellow was the filler and two white daisies. The arrangement looked like it had just been stuffed in the vase. Not the look of a professional flower store at all! I called the store and asked to speak to the mgr. or owner. Still awaiting a call back. read more

I have seen some of the florist's work and she does an amazing job. However, the staff member was very rude over the phone line. If I remember right the lady that I talked to on the phone's name was Tera Tara Terry? With that being said if I ever have to purchase flowers I will go have to take my business elsewhere. I tried to talk with the florist and the lady who answered the phone was quick to tell me that was not allowed. Kind of upsetting because a lot of my friends purchase many orders throughout the year and have not had a problem. Sad to have to leave this kind of review but I expected more politeness from this establishment. read more
