Small hotel and restaurant in converted farm building. My wife and I stayed two nights at the Blue Beetroot during the 2017 Boleslawiec Pottery Festival. Research revealed it as easily the best place to stay in the area, and we were able to snag room #7 after being on the waiting list. We would definitely want to stay here again if we visit the festival in the future. The guests seemed to be mostly Pottery Festival regulars, American, and associated with the US govt / Army in Germany. Our room (#7) occupied one end of the top (3rd) floor, and was spacious with 3 beds, including 1 double. VERY clean - even the shelves of the armoire. The bathroom had separate shower and tub. Windows on three sides of the room. Reliable Wi-Fi at a decent data rate. RESTAURANT REVIEW: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available in the restaurant. The restaurant served both guests and non-guests, with excellent service. The buffet breakfast was very good, with choices of eggs, polish sausages, raw tomatoes, raw cucumbers, bread, toast, pastries, cereal, and fresh fruit. The coffee was excellent! - something we have not often found in Poland. We had dinner both nights of our stay, and would do so again because there are few choices in the area. - Goulash: 3.0 out of 5 stars. The meat was high-quality but a bit chewy. - Trout: 4.5. - Fish (cod) and Chips: 3.5. Tartar sauce was a bit heavy on the pickles. - Cold beet soup appetizer: 4.5. - Greek salad: 4.5. - Breakfast buffet: 5.0. read more
As an American expat living in Stuttgart, Germany, we had heard over and over again about how wonderful the stay in the Blue Beetroot is - any trip to Boleslawiec should without question involve a stay at the Blue Beetroot. So, naturally, we were more than curious. In short, this is one of the few places that actually lives up to everything you've heard. I can't believe the value for the money! Amazingly gorgeous, spacious rooms. The food is absolutely fantastic. I hear they even offer massages. This is less of a bed and breakfast, and more like a resort. Oh, if you have kids, they will gladly offer horse rides through the nearby woods. They also have a donkey (named Magic!). Be sure to chat with the owner while you are there. She's very kind, and full of all sorts of useful knowledge. read more
This is where "everybody" stays when they come here. So of course on my second trip to the area we gave into the hype and made our reservation. The staff is great, they speak English well and the rooms were quite roomy with plenty of space for the 4 of us that went. Very clean. Easy parking. Quiet. We also ate two nights in the restaurant. This was also pretty decent and they could just add it to our room charge. When we came down to check out they had already split the bill into 4 which made check-out super quick and easy! read more

The first time we stayed at The Blue Beetroot, we were pleasantly surprised at the amazing welcome we received. As soon as we checked in, Jarek (manager) offered to help with our bags, he asked us if we would be dining in the restaurant and he told us if we needed anything, he would be happy to help us out and answer any questions we had! We were given a map of local pottery stores, as we stated that we were in the area to pottery shop ( and we got a 10% savings coupon for a local shop). So far, we have made three trips to Boleslawiec and we know without a doubt we will always stay here and we will dine in the Blue Beetroot restaurant for every meal, as the kitchen staff prepare amazing meals which are extremely appealing to the eye as well! Julia crystal factory is well worth the drive; there are amazing crystal glasses with several designs, colors and shapes ( a wonderful treat)! The staff is beyond friendly at the Blue Beetroot....(this is an understatement)! They are wonderful with children, I cannot say enough about this! Measuring the room to make sure your baby crib fits, bringing wonderful desert for the kiddos and making sure the children have a wonderful stay as well as Mom and Dad. I asked for recommendations on where to shop for things besides pottery and as soon as I told the staff what I was looking for, they were happy to research the stores online and provide me with written addresses. The Blue Beetroot is our home away from home in Poland; the atmosphere is charming, and I look forward to my next visit! Thank you all!!!! (a special thank you to Nina and Magdalena, our little one loved them both!) read more
