Good breakfast neighborhood spot. Plenty of seating inside. For whatever reason, their chairs are really heavy. Great for groups and families. I've enjoyed everything I've had here except the corned beef. The corned beef tasted like it came from the can and not authentic. Their portions are good and not oversized like most breakfast spots. I really enjoyed their french toast and chicken fried steak. Prices are reasonable. I'd come back again.

My first time here and it was great! Right when you walk in it smells like fresh coffee which is very pleasant smell. They were busy at 9am on a Thursday which was a great sign. The food was really good, we were very happy and will absolutely come back!

Entire staff is 10/10 friendly and helpful. Felt very cozy and family oriented inside. Food came fast and hot. Everything tasted fresh and home made. The wifey had the crepes with strawberry compote, amazingly light and delicious. Actually tasted like strawberries! My daughter had the mushroom and Swiss omelet and there was cheese galore in that thing! I had the farmer's breakfast, the eggs were cooked as ordered, the bacon was extra crispy like I asked. The pancakes were thick, fluffy, and literal perfection...chef's kiss. Coffee refills were flowing and timely. 10/10 visit and we will be back!

South of the Border meals are so good and have a little spice! Today, I had the Mexican Pepper Steak with a fiery red sauce that complimented the beans and rice well. I opted for no tortillas and instead got toasted rye bread, at my friend's suggestion. The bread was crisp on the outside, and thick and warm perfect for butter. My friend always shares her Potato Pancakes with me and I enjoy the cool side of applesauce. Orange juice is flavorful and just enough to wash down my meal. I've also had coffee that's been kept filled. Service is excellent!! The staff are all friendly, helpful, and attentive. Portions are large and perfect for sharing and leftovers. I boxed up the rest of my food and just enjoyed a second helping when I got home, plus I still have more left for dinner. Highly recommend stopping in for brunch, especially if you like breakfast with options for Mexican flavored meals!! Lots of parking, very clean restaurant, and close to 215 and Trop or Russell.

Biscuits & Gravy (half order) + bacon

Great breakfast spot in the area. We have been here a few times now and they are normally able to seat us right away. The restaurant is very clean and the servers are attentive. So far I have tried 3 items on the menu: Fresh Fruit Waffle - can't really go wrong with this one. Plus, they use fruits that I like, which are strawberries, blueberries, bananas and apples. Yay! Recently, we went to another restaurant that didn't specify their fruit toppings, and I ended up not eating the cantaloupe and honeydew melon. Biscuits and Gravy (half order): great when the gravy is served hot! Not too bland or salty and there is a good amount of sausage in it. My only complaint is that one time the gravy was served lukewarm, so I'm not sure if my order was just sitting there for a while. The gravy was starting to get sort of solid, so I could only finish half of it. Side of Bacon: came out crispy, just the way I like it! They had a sign stating that there will be a dinner menu coming soon, so we may be back for that in the near future.

    Potato Latkes

I found Potato Latkes at it wasn't at Bagelmania or Bagel Cafe! It was at Blue Skillet, across from Walmart on Ft Apache, but the entrance "is around back". I ordered Latkes, which came with applesauce and sour cream. Just like Mom used to make; crispy around the edge and moist and tasty on the inside. Coffee flowed continuously and was good. There is even a counter to add to the diner vibe, but a diner needs rice pudding to complete the menu, which is rare in Las Vegas. Nice menu, nice staff.

Calling all breakfast lovers!! Today I tried another location for this restaurant chain and I am beyond delighted. The ambiance was inviting, the space was large and open. The staff were so attentive and kind. I have to say the food was the star of the show. Presentation, taste, portions. The French toast was crunchy and fluffy, the eggs were fresh and bouncy, and the bacon was so crispy !! A breakfast lover's dream. Highly recommend!

was looking for a good place for breakfast and found this place from Yelp. The food was hot fresh and delicious. The ambiance is a feeling of a home diner setting with friends around. The service was exceptional and if you are looking for delicious way to start your day this is the place. Can't wait to go back! I had the four deuces to eat.

On the way home from the Strip, I stopped at this newer breakfast place. The menu is quite large and there's a variety of Mexican dishes available as well as standard breakfast fare. I ordered the Guadalajara chorizo skillet. The menu describes the skillet as--Guadalajara Chorizo Skillet--authentic chorizo sausage, green pepper, onion, tomato, tortilla chips and Jack cheese. It makes for a hearty breakfast. There was a good amount of chorizo, cheese, and potato cubes. It makes for a good combination. I ordered coffee when I first sat down. My server stopped by about 4 times to add to the mug or ask if I wantred more. A very friendly atmosphere. There is another Blue skillet on the East side. It's a good place to stop for breakfast.

Breakfast done well. The Chilaquiles were tasty and the eggs were done perfectly. My friend really enjoyed his chicken fried steak and we both thought that the Service in the ambience was excellent. Can't wait to return.

Simple diner style breakfast restaurant. Smelled like syrup in the best way when you walk in.. we were greeted well and had our coffees consistently topped off. Pancakes were the star of the show... fresh eggs were good the scrambled were a bit off. Overall would return

I've had a run of regrettable Mexican food and even though this place wasn't horrible, it could have been a whole lot better. Again, another spot that charges for chips and salsa. As I always say, if you charge, the chips and salsa better be stellar. Before we get to that let me tell you about the service. I asked the server which lunch entrée she would recommend between the carnitas tacos and the chicken taquitos. She recommend the taquitos. Service was kinda cold and we really didn't feel completely welcome. We placed our order and the server said she would be right back with water, chips and salsa. A few minutes later she came back with water, but no chips. A few minutes after that, she returned with our meals, along with chips and salsa. Kinda tacky, the whole point of an appetizer is to have it before your meal. That said, without a doubt the best chips I've ever had. Light, crispy and a really hearty stone ground flavor, seriously, without a doubt the best chips. It was served with two salsas. The red was smoky with a little kick, but it needed salt. The green was tangy and by tangy I mean tart. It also needed salt, but in the end, it was just sour. Well, the taquitos were dry, unseasoned and not appetizing. There was basically 3 pieces cut in half to make 6 small taquitos. I ate 3, but should have stopped after the very first bite. I really regretted ordering them and was further disappointed by her terrible recommendation. The rice and beans also had no flavor, and in the end, I have had fast food Mexican that taste way better than this. I know the server knew I wasn't pleased when my plate was barely touched and I was further frustrated by a service fee added to my check, without explanation. Maybe this is a trend, Mexican restaurants adding penalties and fees to the check without warning. Not a good way to run a business.
