    Bowling on this good Juneteenth
    Malikah H.

Came here with my boo as part of our Juneteenth shenanigans and this place was pretty cool. We came for a quick game during the daytime prices which was $30 for an hour..... sheesh when did bowling become so high!? The price jumped after 5pm so we were lucky to arrive when we did. We planned to eat after but grabbed some onion rings that were so good to hold us over. The service was great from the guy with the cool fro at the register to the nice young lady who brought out our food. The location was clean, the TVs were massive and the lanes were cool. Mr Man and I will definitely return.

My family and I love bowling so I was really excited to check out The BLVD a few weeks ago for a birthday party. The BLVD is located in West Sacramento and had plenty of parking spaces out front. Our friends rented out a semi private room for all of us to bowl - the private room had about 8 bowling lanes plus a pool table. There were also comfy couches and chairs to sit in. There were pizzas and French fries for everyone that were pretty decent, plus drinks! Besides bowling, The BLVD also has a massive arcade and laser tag. We didn't check out any games or laser tag during our visit, but they had a ton of games that looked really fun! Some I had never even seen before! While I was walking around looking for the bathrooms, I also saw a large bar area with every alcohol imaginable. Overall, The BLVD is a great place for a birthday party, girls night or even date night! Staff at the front desk were very friend as well. We'll be back!

This is a really cool spot to have in the community. It reminds me a lot of Round1 but a smaller and less chain version. There's a bowling alley, a lot of arcade games, and laser tag. It also has a full restaurant and bar inside which is nice to give you some sustenance while you are busy doing all sorts of games. My only issue with this place is the size. Granted, it's a pretty large venue already but it should be bigger or more spaced out. On weekends this place gets PACKED. Almost to the point where it is hard to walk through to get to your lane or game. The games feel very compact and basically on each other. The food was decent, not the best burger and pizza I've ever had but still solid. The guacamole was a surprise banger. I'd say expect to walk out of here for about $25 a person to get some food or drinks. The bowling and laser tag are a bit steep but that's just how the economy is in 2026. Bottom line/TLDR: a great gathering spot for the community

5/5 for the kids games , laser tag, and bowling area. My kids had so much fun. As for prizes, it's almost impossible to get. You need to play at least 1k to get any prizes. 3/5 for the food. I liked the club sandwich, but the wings and pizza were very Digiorno warm in the oven type of thing. We had my daughters birthday here and she had a blast, but I wish they had little areas for the kids to purchase food and drink. Service was kind despite the big screens not working . This was an over all good family vibe. Bar had some good prices too . The cocktails are expensive but the $15 bucket of beers wasn't too bad.

Fun arcade games place with laser tag and bowling. We tried laser tag and had a fun 10 minutes that seemed to last longer! This wasn't in a bad way when time usually flies having fun--it was all fun and vivid indeed! The other arcade games like racing with motion, basketball to football, and shooter games were fun too. The downside was the limited rewards room, but this didn't seem to like a big downside since having fun with the activities was the main deal.

Again. The deal that doesn't exist. LOL. From the website ..

**disclosure long review but trust me worth the read to consider** BOWLING PINS DON'T REGISTER THE CORRECT KNOCKED DOWN PINS It pains me to write these kind of reviews. Sometimes when a newer spot opens and has all the elements you want you just assume it'll be the best place ever and it'll become your new favorite spot. This place has everything. Decently large arcade with lots of good game selection. Full service restaurant and bar with sit down area. Laser tag. Pool tables. Nice bowling lanes with comfy roomy seating. So why the bad review?? Unfortunately my night with a friend here was just one mishap after the other. Despite all the issues we had a blast and laughed it off. And very employee we interacted with was kind and trying to dissolve the issues. But let me begin. First off we made a reservation for 9:30pm, we got there at 9pm and checked in. Wasn't ready yet no biggie. We check back in at 9:30pm and still not ready. They said someone was cleaning the area and we had to wait another 15 mins. When we got to the area it was still messy with food and stuff all over the floor and a guy walking up just as we sat down to start sweeping. Then rolls around 10pm and we wanted to take advantage of the deal with the 10pm to close "panic hour" which is half off draft beers and well cocktails. We figure we will get it once the server stops by. Sadly a server never stops by. We call to "request service" three different times on our pad and they never came. So i just walk over to the bar and figure I'll order there. When i get to the bar I mentioned the deal and the server said no they don't have that it's been discontinued. And I'm confused and thinking wait what? (Mind you there is signage for it all over the place, and on the website, AND in the menus at the bar which I point out) the server was really kind and confused and I could tell he genuinely did not know about this deal or it still being a thing? Whole time he's helping me he said he will honor it but has to get approval from a manager. It takes me 15 mins to get two drinks and get my order rung up. When he took my card he was gone for over 5 mins to get my check from the manager. And mind you I let him know a server never came to our section and he said he would let someone know to come by and... nobody came by. The entire hour we bowled. And the biggest mishap was the bowling pins. Me and my friend were at lane 13 and I'll be honest. We are pretty average with bowling. We get a gutter ball for a few frames then after practice get better. So it took some time for us to notice that the whole time we were playing it was adding pins we knocked over and then not giving us credit for our spares!! For literally almost every frame. Me and my friend were just busting out laughing about the whole situation. Whole time we got maybe 4 spares each and it said every time we only knocked over 9 - my friend got one strike, never registered she made all 10 down said she only got 9. Mind you again this whole expierence was hilarious. The fact we were able to get it on camera so many times just is incredible! LOL To give some positives the food here is good. Drinks here are delicious. The dirty sodas are also amazing. But after reading everything you just read, would you come here again?

Came to the Blvd today with my family and had a great time. Here are my favorite things, we loved that they provide a basket for all the shoes. Also love you can order all food and drinks from the tablet. Was a little confusing when ordering a salad as it had the option no dressing and then extra dressing but for 0.75, so I put no dressing thinking the standard would come out but it didn't. I feel like the arcade cards last long! We played so many games with the icee game being MY FAVORITE!! Things that weren't great was about 4pm on Saturday it was getting crowded by the front door. There was no clear area to see if that was people in line or an overflow from the arcade. Overall great time, decent food, fairly priced drinks.

Was excited to come check out this new hangout spot, and it was nice and new but overall pretty small, and was just disappointed by the service! I showed up a few mins early for our bowling lane reservation under my brother in law's name. The girl at the counter seemed clueless and told me she wasn't sure if our lanes were ready yet and just stared at me. Didn't bother to look it up, ask around, nothing! The workers showed zero motivation or initiative. When we finally did get checked in by someone else, another girl just didn't have any common sense at all - I told her we would need at least 3 lighter bowling balls for the kids so she went to grab them behind the counter and handed them to me one by one. I have no idea how she thought I was going to carry all three, with a bin of shoes, AND walk my kids over to the bowling lanes!? So strange. The bowling area itself is nice but again pretty small, so make sure to reserve if you have a big party. The seating areas were nice with couch seating. But the screens to setup games were so confusing. They have so many options and all we wanted was a simple game! And there was nowhere to select bumpers for certain players like other bowling alleys have. We had to flag someone down (the service button on the screen did absolutely nothing) to finally get bumpers up. Arcade area had decent games but again, pretty small. Overall would not come back all the way here for this place!

Had a blast @ BLVD! I've been to other BLVD locations in San Jose, so I'm glad to finally have one closer to home. Located in the old Safeway building in west Sacramento, this huge 37,000+ sq. ft. space includes immersive bowling, 65+ arcade & VR games, laser tag, billiards, and massive sports screens. We arrived hungry so of course our first stop was to check out the restaurant section on the west end of the establishment. The eating area has plenty of seating for larger gatherings with family and friends or for you and your date at the full service bar. With happy hour, lunch and dinner menu, there are lots of choices for food and refreshments. We ordered salad, burgers, boneless wings and pizza. Food was solid and pricey, but this top notch experience is worth the price in my opinion. Service at both the eating area and front register were fast, friendly and helpful. We purchased and loaded our cards to play at the arcade. The asphalt moto blitz and skee-ball were my favorite games to play! Bowling was extra fun as they offer different type of bowling games like they do at Top Golf. We chose Angry Birds to switch it up. We couldn't stop laughing and drinking and eating. This place is perfect for parties, date nights, and all-ages fun! Have fun.

FOOD - Crispy Mozzarella Sticks: 6 breaded and fried mozzarella sticks. 4/5 - Bacon Jalapeno Wontons: cream cheese, bacon, jalapeños in a deep fried wonton with sriracha aioli. 4/5 - Signature Slider Trio -- The Haggard: bacon, cheddar, onion straw, and BBQ sauce. 4.5/5 -- The Bacon Jalapeno Crunch: cheddar, onion straw, bacon-jalapeno spread, and garlic slaw with sriracha-aioli. 4.5/5 -- The Big Kahuna: bacon, grilled pineapple, Swiss, lettuce, tomatoes, and red onions with teriyaki and mayo. 4.5/5 SERVICE: Friendly and fast enough. We took advantage of happy hour which gives you $2 off shareables and half of drafts on Mon-Fri from 3-6PM. 4/5 FINAL THOUGHTS: I would come back. The food was pretty good. My kids had a great time bowling and playing in the arcade.

This was formally the Safeway on Jefferson. Came here a few weeks ago for a Friday work luncheon. Chose it because it was new, close, reasonably priced and it could accommodate the ten of us without much of a wait as it seemed more of a night and weekend place. Half of it is ticket games for kids and small bowling alley. The other half is a bar/grill dining area. As expected it was loud even with no kids playing there. We walk in at 1130 and it is cold inside. We sat towards the back near the roll up doors. I thought it would warm up but it never did by the time we left two hours later. Everyone was rubbing their hands together trying to warm up. Food selection is what you would expect... burgers, sandwiches, salad, chicken strips. They have a good lunch special of half sandwich with a side for $15. Prices are reasonable. Main sandwiches come with fries for $18. Food was slightly better than expected for the atmosphere but incredibly SLOW. We were about the only ones there besides a table of 2. Food took a long time and service was non-existent as in I rarely ever saw him. You'd think being a large party, means higher tips that you would be more attentive? I walked through the entertainment part and the prize store was very empty in the lower ticket spots. There is ZERO video games that don't earn tickets so no pinball or things to play for fun. So its a kids casino spending money to earn prizes. There are private rooms where you could do a kids birthday party but awfully small. There is one that has private bowling alley so that could be fun for a group or family but have no idea the cost. Overall not impressed for a new spot. Seems cold and disjointed. Arcade areas is smaller than expected. It doesn't scream fun. On the other hand, glad to see West Sac have something different.

This was my first time at The BLVD, but it definitely won't be my last. What a fun spot! Bowling, games, a great bar, and plenty of food and drink options. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the whole place was clean and well kept. We had a blast bowling, especially on the Spark lanes they added a really fun twist. That said, the price for those lanes felt a little steep. Now for the food, starting strong with the fries. Absolute bomb. Perfectly seasoned, great portion, and seriously delicious. The pretzel with cheese sauce was just okay, nothing wild. The chips and dips....Total letdown. Bland, no real flavor, and just not it. The drinks were a mixed bag. My first one was a fruity blended something or other that looked better than it tasted. Wouldn't get that one again. But my second drink, the BLVD Tea? Loved it. Strong, tasty, and definitely the move. We also grabbed a game card and played around in the arcade. Tons of options, solid variety, and lots of funn. We'll definitely be back for another night of food, games, and bowling fun!

We had our team building event at The Blvd and it was such a great experience! It was everyone's first time here, and we had a blast. Our host Ana was amazing, super friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The service was exceptional from start to finish. We enjoyed tasty food (pizza, salad, sliders, wings, and fries) we had in our party room, had a fun bowling competition in the VIP section, played arcade games, and took lots of great pictures! The venue is spacious, clean, and has an awesome vibe. Located right in West Sacramento, it's the perfect spot for groups, events, or just a fun night out. We'll definitely be back!

Came here to watch the World Cup, and thanks to being on their email list, I scored free tickets to…read morethe watch party! I believe there's normally a $20 cover charge, so it was a nice perk. One tip: make a reservation in advance. We were able to skip the long line, which made getting in quick and easy. My party of four was seated on the patio, but honestly, there's really no bad seat in the house. Tom's has TVs everywhere, so you'll have a great view of the game no matter where you're sitting. For food, we ordered the spinach and artichoke dip, fries, fried pickles, and I grabbed a beer. Everything was tasty, but the standouts were definitely the fries and fried pickles. The fries came out piping hot, crispy, and fresh, making them surprisingly one of my favorite items of the meal. I will say the prices are on the higher side, but for a big sporting event, I think it's well worth it. The atmosphere was amazing, the crowd made the experience even more fun, and the service was exceptional. Even though the restaurant was absolutely packed, our food came out quickly, and our server checked on us frequently throughout the game. Overall, I'd highly recommend Tom's for your next watch party. Between the atmosphere, plenty of TVs, solid food, and attentive service, it's a great place to catch a big game.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at Tom's Bar was extremely disappointing…read more We made reservations well in advance, paid ahead of time, and even arrived more than an hour early. We were third in line for the reservation queue, so we expected that arriving early would help us get decent seating. Instead, we were assigned seats on the open patio directly in the blazing sun. The patio umbrellas weren't working, making the seating area unbearably hot on a warm afternoon. We politely asked if we could be moved to another table, but the staff was unwilling to accommodate us. When general admission opened, we even offered to give up our reserved seats and move into the general admission section instead. Despite there being an opportunity to make that happen, our request was again denied. After only 15-20 minutes, we had no choice but to leave because the conditions were simply unbearable. Paying in advance, arriving early, and still receiving the worst seats--with no willingness to help find a reasonable solution--made for a very frustrating experience. Customer service is about solving problems when they arise. Unfortunately, that didn't happen here, and it left us with a very poor impression of Tom's Bar. We missed a good part of the World Cup Finals which was the main purpose of going there. Costed us in fee and parking and lots of unnecessary anxiety!

Decided this was the place for dinner after a long work day with a colleague…read more It's an older building with unique art on the exterior. There's also an outside patio. The place reminds me of bars that I would have frequented in my twenties and felt strangely familiar. The bar keep/waiter was super friendly and laid back. Our party of two proceeded to order burgers, mine with regular fries and my dining companion the garlic fries. I made a few substitutions which were quickly accommodated with a smile. The burgers were soooo good! Cooked perfectly to order and the garlic fries are a must. So perfectly garlicky without any bitterness and delightfully delicious. The fries are perfectly between thin and steak, striking a balance that fits just about any preference.

They're known for their burgers, but even without ordering one, everything we tried was delicious. The fried sweet pickles with house-made ranch were my absolute favorite--perfectly crispy and so flavorful. The mac and cheese was rich and homemade-tasting, and the house chips with salsa and beer cheese dip were a great addition. Our friends ordered the mac-and-cheese grilled cheese (yes, really!) and devoured it, and the Reuben was also a huge hit. Definitely an 11/10 experience. We'd absolutely come back if we're in the area again.

Thankfully there was still parking in the lot and seats inside. I was happily surprised there were still seats available as it was the USA game. The place was busy, but not packed. There were still a few seats at the bar when we arrived and a couple of tables available. It was the perfect place to arrive late to watch the game. This has turned over many times since we've lived here. Now it's a Mexican restaurant and bar. It's cleaned up well since we were here last. It has a very cute entrance. It has a couch and 2 shelving units on the sides of the couch. There is a sign above the couch that says Tequila Weill never break your heart. Veggie Taco Salad $14.75: Fired flour tortilla, pinto beans, grilled vegetables, avocado, sour cream, roasted corn & greens. It was very tasty. We loved the grilled vegetables. They were fresh and hot in the bottom of the taco salad on top of the pinto beans. The sour cream was drizzled on top of the avocados. Under that was a little bit of lettuce. There could have been a lot more lettuce. I would order it again. Mulita $7.55 regular price. $5 during happy hour, we sadly missed happy hour by minutes: stuffed corn tortilla, choice of meat, melted cheese ,with sour cream and guacamole on the side. I don't recall there being guacamole on the side, I think they put it in it. The Mulita was chuck full of meat, it was overflowing. It was very tasty. Though very messy. It's hard to eat with your hands alone. We cut it up into small pieces and ate it with our hands. We'd order it again. The ambiance was good. People were cheering for the USA. It was a fun environment. Subdued compared to other watch parties we've been too, but it was still nice.

We come here several times a year when we are having a hankering for a burger or fish and chips…read more The last time we were here was New Year's Day. As we looked thought the menu our friend remembered the bad experience he had last time with the Salmon Burger and went with the Hawaiian Impossible Burger this time. He though it was much better. My husband and I went with the BNB Cheeseburger: Topped with cheddar, hickory smoked bacon, homemade bbq sauce and an onion ring. My husband and I split it along with a side of onion rings and the three of us split a full Caesar Salad. For dessert we split the Nutella Cheesecake. The Onion rings were perfectly fried, nice and crispy. Some were tastier the others and the last couple of ones tasted better dipped in the ranch that came with the meal. The burger was very tasty and cooked to medium as requested. I really liked the BBQ sauce in the burger and didn't need the extra sauce they put on the side. The salad was plentiful and served 3 people perfectly. The Nutella cheesecake was good. I liked the crunchy bits mixed in with the Nutella, the Nutella was plentiful. The cheesecake was very fluffy. I would have preferred a denser cheesecake. As for burgers go, they have good burgers. I can't say they are the best burgers ever, but they are local and good burgers. When we got the burger we asked if we could get a sharp knife to cut it and they said the kitchen would happily cut it for us. That worked out great as no one smashed the burger as they were cutting it. I guess we could have asked for it to be cut initially. Next time we'll think of that ahead of time. Parking is ok, they have a private lot they share with the restaurant across the way and some of the spots are designed for the other restaurant so it comes tricky at times finding parking. The mosquitoes were bad inside tonight and our friend got bitten several times.

He did not welcome us nor did he say thank you after we ordered. All he did was ask us "do you want it cooked? It was if we were an inconvenience. He also did not offer straws for our ice tea. I know this may sound petty, but I am getting tired of the sullen attitudes many service personnel have. Our server who brought our food was very cordial, and she checked with us to see how our food was. She has the right attitude for customer service. I spent my career in the service industry and was an adjunct professor at a community college teaching customer service and sales. I do have a good understanding of what makes good service and why it is important.
