All you hav it do is sign up and you receive a lovely reusable bag. Last year my bag was orange and this year it's irredecent with pink handles. They provide a DJ and DIY photo station. They also provide a balloon booth for kids. You also, get a list of participating stores that offer a discount for this weekend as well. Some stores offer great value and others just have a glass of champagne. Can't wait to next year!

After not visiting this shopping facility in over a year, we ventured here to check out what a few…read morespecific stores had. First off, this is called "Houston Premium Outlets." It should actually be named "Houston Premium Stores." There is virtually NO outlet prices on anything. Adidas store had a great selection, but proved my lack of outlet prices when I viewed a particular shoe that was labeled: Retail price: $100, our price: $100. Go figure! Selection at many of the other stores was minimal. They all appeared to have off-retail styles but with regular retail prices. Not so sure I'd made a special trip here for any of their usual stores. Only saving grace was that a Birkenstock store has opened here, which means that I won't need to drive downtown to Rice Village if I want a new pair of Birks!

It's a pretty fancy outdoor strip mall with a whole ton of places to eat - most of which are absolutely crap - and a movie theatre which is actually really great, and one of the best in the whole region, and also cheaper than most. And best of all there is a Kung Fu Tea location here which has lately been hit or miss, but can often be really friendly and make good products and we definitely appreciate it.

I think we've been here the last 5 times we've been to Cypress, but I guess it's right off the highway and has a whole host of stores that Barbi likes to shop at so it makes sense. I don't love driving in and out of here but it's not bad except for the crappy 290 construction. They have a whole range of big box stores and all the stuff that you would expect them to have.

Next time you are on your way out to the outlet malls on 290, do yourself a favor and go ahead and take the Barker Cypress exit and drop by this little gem of a store. Suburban Girl is one of my favorite little boutiques that I have found since my days being in San Francisco. NOTE: (( or for all you inner loopers (insert: my sister here) who heaven forbid you step outside the loop go ahead, grab yourself a coffee and take a mini road trip)), 1. Merchandise galor: dresses, shirts, hats, jeans, scarves, picture frames, jewelry, bags, boots, magnets, bottle stoppers, home decor the list can go on and on and on........ 2. Casual Eclectic style: ( For those of you who are more classic than eclectic...dont think they dont have stuff for you either) This store is constantly getting new merchandise and the owner makes it a point to order a limited amount of each style so that your chance of running into your own episode of "who wore it best" is slim to none. ( Let's face it, we have ALL been there, done that and hope and pray that it doesnt happen again.) 3. Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name: (Not kidding about this one..I'm a regular, and I am sure they would learn your name also if you drop by enough) I drop by the store about every other week to browse and see whats new plus as a bonus when I am on the road ( I travel ALOT on business) the owner also puts pictures on their facebook of the latest shipments so you can see what is new plus if there is something you are dying to have you can message her on facebook and she will hold it for you for a few hours so you can get in and try it on! 4. Gosh. I have tried multiple times to shop here. And sometimes they have really cute items. I want…read moreto be able to support local... but, the customer service is just awful. I was in today -I was in the shop for about five minutes and of the younger girls working greeted me. Finally the older lady working did greet me and was very nice. That is the first time I've ever been welcomed in that store. I usually pop in when I am just in workout gear. Not dressed super cute. But they have no idea the size of my checkbook. Today I bought a blouse and the girl checking me out had a tag hanging from her blouse that she was wearing. I told her her tag was showing and I asked her if she was just going to put that back on the rack and she said yes that they are required to wear clothes from there and that they are allowed to put them back on the rack. I personally think that's disgusting for them to wear clothes all day, work in them & then put them back on the rack to sell. This price point I would not expect that. Super disappointed. Definitely moving on to all the other cute boutiques in the area
