What a cozy little cafe in the heart SLO! The Boba Nook serves up delicious milk teas and has a very cute ambiance. Walking in you're greeted with cute cafe music taken from animal crossing. In fact, they have a video of a cafe scene of the animal crossing game playing to really set the cutesy aesthetic. The milk tea is good. They don't have as many choices when customizing sweetness, but their tea isn't too sweet at all. I enjoyed a strawberry matcha and my wife enjoyed a passionfruit green tea. Both were good. The boba was nice was good and fresh. Service was fairly quick. The girl was very sweet and offered to remake our drink if we didn't like it. We enjoyed the drink very much. FOOD: They only serve drinks but a good amount of options! There are milk teas, matchas, fruit teas, coconut clouds, peachy refreshers, milkshakes and a Vietnamese cold brew. I ordered the banana matcha latte and my bf got the Vietnamese cold brew. The Vietnamese cold brew ended up being sweeter than my matcha but that not a problem for me because I do not like my drinks sweet. A good hint of banana in my drink but mostly matcha. The banana matcha latte is available for a limited time only unlike the Vietnamese cold brew. SERVICE: We were the only ones at the store during our visit but the service was quick. There was only one person taking orders and making the drinks at the time but even then I thought she did it in a timely manner. AMBIANCE: Plenty of space and a cute instagrammable install photo-op against the wall. Plenty of seats available and some games available for groups visiting the store. There is free wifi available as well. The music playing in the background was not playing too loud. I feel like the store is still pretty empty and needs some more decorations but otherwise a good space to get some work done while enjoying your drink. First time here, I got to try their Matcha Latte Einspanner (they use ceremonial grade which hard to find here in the central coast). My bf had the Mango jasmine tea with boba was surprisingly good. The tea base very fragrant and bold not watery like most of the places here (iykyk). I love how they provide comfy seats with A/C which is a plus for this warm weather, relaxing music in the background. Def recommend for someone who need a place to study or just sit and chill. Oh my gosh. I am so excited it is finally open! Went to their soft opening and tried their honeydew milk tea and my boyfriend had their Vietnamese cold brew. The honeydew milk tea was so creamy - delicious! It wasn't too sweet, it was just right. The Vietnamese cold brew was also really good. The inside is spacious, and the owners are so nice! They seem to have a lot a plans so I'm super excited to see how it's going to turn out! I'm totally going to become a regular. read more

Really enjoying this new spot! The staff are all wonderful and the place itself is very cozy. Good boba and a decent amount for the price. Excited to see how this place does after the grand opening! My only criticism is that the boba pearls are pretty flavorless, which may be preferred by some people, but I like sweet brown sugar boba. I have been here 6 times, first experiences were wonderful. Went in twice where they were out of boba but the owner appeared very apologetic for this. The workers appeared to also have a "if you're not happy with drink we will remake." Drinks were decent, boba delicious when they had it. Tonight is my last visit here. Lady working seemed miserable. We ordered 3 drinks, all watery and below mediocre. I ordered a blended taro to get a syrupy, watery and warm drink. When I asked the lady if this was considered blended she stated, "Yes, it's mixed with powder.." Never offered to remake and defensive regarding the gross drink. Too many other places to go to deal with this customer service for a destination boba drink shop. I hope the owner can retrain this woman to be like the few others I have met there. read more
