The only alternatives are much more harsher and inhumane and also add to a rise in cost for the consumer, however this isn't the reason I don't like this store. Inside, this store was okay, it was a decent size albeit slightly small especially compared to similar stores elsewhere in the Manchester Arndale Centre such as Lush. The members of staff here seemed unfriendly and rude, I came in, walking around the store and taking pictures, I was basically starred at, no one asked me if I was okay or not and looking for anything, I didn't even get a hello, welcome or goodbye which was a shame. Overall, most of the products to me seemed like junk and it wasn't something I'd buy, perhaps because I'm not the target market but still I can't help but feel most of their products don't warrant the price, as well as the unethical techniques from the company as well as the really rude, unhelpful staff and high pricing, I sadly feel this store deserves just one star which is a shame to start of The Body Shop in 2017, with this being the first review they have received this year so far (The first in over 6 months)

The fact she pulled it off and built The Body Shop into a global brand with thousands of shops across the world is obviously a great achievement. Stepping back however, I think the products aren't as impressive as they used to be. They're still ethical and fair trade but they don't look or feel as good on your skin. I wandered round this store for quarter of an hour the other day and couldn't find a single product I was tempted to buy for myself or anyone else. Perhaps it's time for a Body Shop make-over?

These come an a massive variety of colours and lengths and they even do half packs incase you just want a couple of tracks. Beauty supplies such as false eyelashes, and eye brow razors are available for bargain prices and they stock a lot of hard to find products imported from America such as the fabulous Creme of Nature shampoo. The staff in this shop can sometimes be slightly rude and they will make you wait for ages to be served. They are all men and obviously don't understand some of the questions - I have found myself advising people on what to buy on more than one occasion as the staff didn't have a clue. Overall this shop is great, it sells a wide range of products at a very competitive price and is centrally located in the arndale centre.

When you get in there you feel like in Saisburys, only that all you can see is cosmetics and electronics, and all the stuff you need to make you happy. As a woman I suppose. I had to buy something for a friend's baby, that why I went in there in the first place. But after I've seen what it offers, oh dear, here I am, every week, shopping for feminine stuff, like body creams and weird smelly stuff to make your skin better and you know, they have all sort of stuff, that probably you don't need, but they look so colorful and cool, that you can't stop yourself. You need to buy lots of stuff. But yeah, if you want to walk around a good hour, to pick lots of cosmetics, come to our local boots.

They have a drop off point for perscriptions in store. You can either wait for your medication or have a look around the store or other shops and then pick it up when it is ready. Boots sell a really good range of baby clothes and they even do a premiture baby range which i love as not many shops do. I bought a child gate from here last year and it was only £18 i thought that was a bargain. Also if you buy boots nappies they are only £1.81 that is fantastic value for money and in my opinion they are just as good if not better than pampers and huggies

They carry a wide range of both mens and ladies fragrances as well as body lotions and gift sets. The ladies at this shop are extremely helpful and often have tiny samples available, especially for new perfumes. Prices are often cheaper than the larger stores, so it is worth calling by and comparing the offers.

Boots have a fair number of branches in Bolton town centre, this is my favourite, being in a small…read moreretail park on Trinity Street, it means you can park almost directly outside. The product range of the items in the store was pretty good, while I do prefer the Manchester Arndale store, they did have some unique products which are rarely stocked in Boots stores including gift packet chocolates, although these were often much more expensive than Sainsbury's which is next store, many toiletries items were also cheaper at Sainsbury's, so the price isn't great in most areas. The store was clean and the staff seemed friendly enough. There is a midnight pharmacy, it is one of the few Boots stores in the area to offer this, while the regular store is open until 8 pm, after this time they have a window, similar to what you'd find as a service station which you can use for your pharmacy needs, which is really handy and useful to the local area. 4* - The selection might not be the best, but it's pretty good for a store of its' size, the late opening of the pharmacy is handy, do be prepared to pay a little more if you are coming here though, which isn't ideal considering stores which are virtually next to this one do sell products at a cheaper rate, such as Sainsbury's and Home Bargains, not forgetting retailers elsewhere Bolton town centre.

Weird because I wouldn't have thought Boots was somewhere you went to do Saturday out-of-town retail park browsing kind of shopping along with a trip to Peacocks and TK Maxx, but it's here nonetheless and I guess it must work for them. Helpfully, this Boots has a pharmacy that is open to midnight, which is always useful. Aside from this, this store is light, airy and white, full of cosmetics, beauty supplies and all the shower gel you could ever need.

Debenhams in Blackburn is one of the many department stores I have visited of late. This is quite a…read moredecent size store and is part of The Mall, I came here to use the toilets after grabbing a coffee near enough next store at Rhode Island Coffee, who sadly don't have any toilets. The store was cluttered with "Black Weekend" stickers and most of the offers weren't worth shouting about in all honesty. Inside the store, it just felt average and perhaps a little like the old BHS store in Manchester before it shut down after the company went into administration. The toilets were average, and so were most things, it just didn't stand out as well. There was an issue with the lifts which were very slow, and the signal in store even with Free wi-fi remained poor. Overall, this is a decent store but it lacks on so many levels to the point I sadly think even two stars is slightly generous.

Debenhams has got to be blackburns best department store. It has everything in here from perfume to…read morepots and pans! I think the staff are lovely in here specially around the make up area as they are very helpful. I went to the make up section in debenhams a few months ago and i wasn't sure what to buy or what suited me so the lady tried all these different products on me and after almost an hour we finally found which brand and product was for me. That lady definatly went the extra mile for me. I think the staff on the underwear section are a little bit stuck up. I once asked if i could try on a bra and they looked at me as if i had said something very offensive! The toys are great in this and as for the clothes there is definatly something for everybody here whatever your age or size. Overall a really good store that i use very often.
