Karei may be the oldest beauty or spa service in the Blue Wave area, but it managed to hold its ground. It does not have a very cute and cozy design like other spas, but it has maintained its status of having the biggest unit among all beauty centers in the Blue Wave area. Likewise, I wouldn't say their services are more special than its competitors have to offer, but the idea of having to sit in one place while people pamper you from head to foot is a great advantage.

When I found out that The Spa was offering deep tissue massages, I was elated. I immediately booked an appointment and waited in excitement. The best thing about going to The Spa is you really feel pampered with the service. From the lockers up to the room itself, you never feel ignored. Going back to the massage, I was sadly let down. It was still good by The Spa standards, but it was nowhere near as hard as they claimed it to be. Even if you tell the masseuse to add more pressure, they'll only do it for a bit then go back to a more relaxed motion. Maybe in the future they'll offer a super duper deep tissue massage and it'll finally feel right.

Pro-environment because their products promise to take care of your beauty in the most natural way possible. No parabens. No SLS/SLEs. No environmentally-harmful chemicals. No animal testing. Pro-poor because they hire GK communities and their products are relatively affordable. Finally, pro-Philippines because the ingredients they use are locally grown. This truly is a brand to support. Not only do they have noble advocacies, but their products deliver. My knees and elbows got softer and smoother with their Sunflower Beauty Oil. A small bottle comes at PhP 150 but that size comes a long way. Mine lasted for around 7 months. I also liked their Nourishing Toner whose main ingredient is tomato. It doesn't contain alcohol and, compared to other non-alcohol toners, Human Nature's is more affordable. I liked the scent of both their day and night moisturizer but oil-based ones never worked well on me so I had to stop using them. I am looking forward to trying their hand wash, hand sanitizer, lotion, and sunblock. I am glad they have a big store in Marikina.

They are not only organic but affordable encouraging people to the organic way. I buy Human Nature products as they are organic products made locally thereby providing employment opportunities to the locals. Every time I buy their products I feel I am doing a bit towards the society. All their products are 100% free from chemicals made using natural ingredients. Upon entering the place, I was greeted by the soft, relaxing tones of their pink-gray-white color palette. Then, I found the prices of their services neatly written on a chalkboard conveniently placed just above the counter. Also, adding to the prettiness of the interior were chic frames hanging on a wall. If you do not find those things attractive enough, I tell you: Just sitting on their chairs was a treat in itself. Both pretty and functional, the chairs looked like the throne of a princess and had a pull-out cabinet with what looked like a built-in basin for foot soaking. The mani-pedi area was elevated and I was asked to leave my slippers on the lower level so that the elevated flooring could remain clean. The waxing rooms, I noticed, had their own mini-aircon. Finally, all their polishes and implements were organized in their respective cabinets. I've visited the place twice and have tried their waxing and pedicure services. For the waxing, I have to say they were very detailed and careful. Unlike my experience in other spas or nail/waxing salons, I almost did not feel any pain when they waxed my eyebrows. I found the same attention to detail when they did my pedicure. An added perk to my pedicure experience was being asked to choose the scent of foot scrub and mask. With the services I've tried, I could say Oppa Nail Spa is worth coming back to. But, if I could suggest any improvement, I wish they could add packages for manicure and pedicure where the customer could save even just a small price for getting both. Athletes usually get this after a game, a match or hard practice. Anyway, Asian Massage said they had it and sent someone over right away. I was extremely disappointed! First and foremost it was not a deep tissue sports massage - what I was given was a Swedish/shiatsu combo. Second, the girl had less than 3 months experience so her technique, timing and inconsistent pressure were really off. She spent 10 minutes on a part of my right leg and 15 or so minutes the same muscle on the other leg. Similar problems all throughout the massage. Finally, a few days later I complained to Asian Massage and all they said was "thanks for your feedback"! they should've offered a discount on the next massage at least. Incredibly disappointed with their service, ability to discern massage techniques & ability to own up on mistakes. I paid 300 php massage + 50 php for the tip. the therapist was horrible but she did massage me for more than an hour so i gave her a fair tip anyway. The 300 php for the massage though was not worth it. I can get significantly better massages for 250 php. I might try them again...but I seriously am angry because I asked for something and they claimed they had it.

Most importantly, she made me look the prettiest I have been...everrr! :D This review is for both the makeup trial as well as the day of the wedding. To be honest, I worked with Ara before when I was still in the hair and beauty industry and I was always a fan of her work! Her hairstyles are dreamy and her makeup style is just flawless. I know there are makeup artists who want to show that they ca do edgy makeup to bridal. With Ara, her main goal is to make every woman's makeup fit her style and personality. During the makeup trial, since I don't wear a lot of makeup on a regular basis (actually, I do not wear makeup at all!), I relied on her to make the best decision for me. And because of that, she did not use heavy make up on me, which I appreciated a lot! She also listened to my husband's requests and adapted quickly (request for airbrushed makeup and hair style) and prepped my makeup and hair extensions to be ready for those changes. She was very easygoing and comfortable to work with, making the session fun and go by quickly! On the day of the Wedding day, while everyone was enjoying breakfast, Ara arrived so early! I was actually surprised at how early she was (2 hours before call time). But, it was so that she could set-up the makeup stations and so that my entourage could get their makeup done first. Ara and her team took care of my bridesmaids, my mom, my mother-in-law and I. We stayed on a good schedule (going over the scheduled time by just a few minutes) and had a lot of FUN! They were on time, worked efficiently, and no one felt rushed at all. After the ceremony, she and her team touched up all our makeup and she also changed my hair for the reception!
