I snuck in here on vacation and fell in love! The book shop is everything I love about local book stores- kind owners/staff who strike up conversation genuinely, used books at great prices, a huge inventory, and shelves you can get lost in. We promised ourselves no new books on the trip, but ended up leaving with 4 anyway. This place is so cute and such a calm oasis, I highly recommend stopping in, whether you're local or an out of towner. read more

What a great find! We were vacationing at the beach for a week when my child finished her book and needed a new one to read. I found this independent new and used bookstore online and was so happy we went by. The owners were so nice and helpful, and while they didn't have Book 2 in the series my daughter wanted, she found plenty of other books to get. The store is half new and half used books. Used ones are half the cover price unless otherwise marked. They even have a Bargain room in the back with books that are even cheaper. There's a cute area with a table for kids near their books, and if you're into doing puzzles at the beach, you will find a TON! They have a huge selection of puzzles. The store evidently will order books for you if they don't have it. A lady was making calls while we were there, letting people know their books had arrived. This store's employee, DeShawna, screamed at my friend's child on the Autism spectrum and then at my friend for her child tapping on a table while checking out. The owners, instead of taking care of the situation during their "meeting" the next day, asked her to not discuss it for one week while they decided how to proceed for legal reasons. The only reason I can think of is that they clearly run a business that discriminates against autism and they want the time to "lawyer up." Disgusting. read more

I have been using this store for years . This paticular no nonsence shop sells new, used and rare books. They give you credit for books you bring in, but they have to be in pretty good condition. I took in a stack of a hard bound collection of one author and they chose not to take but a few.Which I thought was odd, to break up the set, but whatever.Then at other times they'll take books that I'm for sure they WONT take, and then they do. So go figure. But it is a great way to get rid of books your done with and get some new ones in exchange.They have a ton of categories to chose from. The "new book" side of the store is not real extensive at all. Prices are the same as any book store. They have a couple chairs for you to read at while waiting for someone in your party. There is also a small kids table for them to read at. Owners are real nice and helpful.It's right on the way down to Atlantic beach, so grab a book and just READ! read more

The only bookstore in town. They have a new and used side, both reasonably priced . The new section is small. you can bring your old books in for credit to spend on the used side and they also have a discount card you can purchase similar to Barnes and Noble or Book A Million. The card is 10.00 for a year and gives you 25% off new titles. I have found there isn't a standard on what books they accept and what they don't it is hit and miss. The ones they do not accept they will donate for you and that is good for me because I want them off my hands anyway. read more

I don't have a television. I read a lot of books. I always spent a lot of money when I frequented that bookstore. I won't be back. It hurts my feelings to be treated with what seemed like thinly veiled contempt. I don't know what what wrong but at the clerk finds the time to fawn over others.
