Great little spot in the Shops of Pines. I would say this is a good spot to meet friends to enjoy some small bites and cocktails while chatting. Weekends they offer a selection of bites for brunch. I did not notice any unlimited mimosa offers. I did see a drink menu but I stuck with my Pinot Grigio wine. Certain nights you may catch a DJ spinning a variety of music. On the other day/night they always have music playing. They have a juke box that you can pay to hear your selection of songs. It's a Good laid back vibe. I would say... do not go if you're trying to get a big meal or fast service. During the day I've seen maybe 1 employee on staff and sometimes it's hard to flag them down even if the place is empty with ONLY 3 tables. We stopped in at Brass Tap for lunch on a Friday and being one of two tables can either be a good thing or a bad thing! In this case, it was a win! We sat towards the front of the restaurant which is basically outside but under a cover so the heat doesnt get to you. Our server was quick with menus and explanations of the specials/happy hour. After that we knew were going to be taking advantage of the apps! We ordered, Mac N Cheese bites, cheese curds, fried pickles, a pepperoni pizza, wings and fries and a bbq onion ring burger. Starting from the top, the Mac N cheese bites were solid. Little squares of battered fried mac. It was creamy but lacked any serious flavor. The dipping sauce helped it a long for sure. The cheese curds were my favorite app. Small, crispy, crunch bites of cheese with different dipping sauces thanks to our waiter. Fried pickles, again, were ok. Good crunch but I thought they were a little greasy. The pepperoni pizza was the best thing on the table. Cooked fresh to order with the cup pepperonis. It was hot, fresh, cooked to perfection with just the right amount of saltiness. Wings and fries hit perfectly. Wings couldve used a little more sauce, but thats something I shouldve asked for. Finally, the burger. Cooked to an exact medium, lots of flavor in the sauce and texture in the onion rings. BT is a great spot, especially for lunch or to watch the game. The brass tap is located in Pembroke Gardens and it is always a great time. With so many bars in this plaza, the brass tap has to find ways to stand out and it does so with weekly trivia nights on Tuesdays! If you haven't been, I highly recommend they also have tacos on special as well, which are really good with a ton of different choices. I am a big fan of some of the beer they have on top such as La Rubia, which is a local beer made in Wynwood. The inside is a little worn in which isn't a bad thing, but it definitely doesn't feel new. It is definitely not my favorite bar, but it's a great option if you are in the area and you want more of an Americanized bar scene. The service is always great and if you are debating checking out the brass top, I highly recommend seeing it for yourself. read more

Wow!!!! Ten years later and I return to The Brass Tap. This place is close to my home and to be honest, I didn't even recall that I'd been here before until I saw my previous review... Well last night, my cousin and I were hungry from a long day of shopping and we knew we wanted to also have a drink from Unit B. Brass Tap is right next door so we decided to grab a meal here. The entrance was wide open and we were told to sit where we'd like. Once seated, the sweet waitress came over and after going back and forth with questions and recommendations for pescatarians, I settled on the Boom-Boom (or was it bang bang?) shrimp with fries and a margarita flight. This is actually an appetizer of about 8 pretty decent sized shrimp covered in a sweet, tangy and spicy sauce. It was not spicy though (but this comes from a spice lover so it depends on your tolerance). If I had to rate the spice level from 1-10, I'd give it a 1.5...hope that helps. The fries are a crinkle cut fry (I was really hoping for homemade fresh but they were fine). Now here is where I had a problem. I was dining with my cousin and we placed our orders at the same time. We both ordered drinks and the exact same food. However, my margarita flight came out way before her peach bourbon drink. I'm talking at least 10 minutes. But that's not the kicker...the same happened with the food. My food came out WAY before hers. I'm not kidding when I say AT LEAST 15 minutes apart. The waitress did come over and say they had an accident in the kitchen but it didn't seem that way because food was coming out back to back for other tables and people at the table near us had the same shrimp and theirs came out just fine. I'm literally wondering if my cousin gave her bad attitude or something in the beginning and this was a little get-back. Lol! But I didn't want to be rude and eat in her face when we were both hungry so I tried to wait for her food to come out which resulted in my food getting cold so I did eventually start to nibble and I even told her to help herself to my food while she waited. I finally waived the waitress down to ask her if the food was ready yet. Needless to say, when her food came out, my shrimp was cold and since they were breaded and fried and then tossed in sauce, the breading ended up going mushy and of course, my fries were cold and hard. I ate it still because I was not about to complain on such an amazing day. But I did taste it when it was hot and the shrimp and fries were both pretty good...it's bar food...but it was definitely tasty. The bar vibe was great! The music was not my cup of tea but the people at the tables were definitely enjoying themselves and singing along loudly to each song. They even interacted with other table groups. It was a fun vibe and atmosphere. It was not a younger crowd and they were not playing much of today's music which was fine. I still enjoyed it. I'd return on a game night as there were plenty of tv's, all tuned to sports. Had the food and drink timing been better, the reviews would have also been much better. read more

The Brass Tap is a great place for drinks in Pembroke Gardens. A bunch of us stopped in after work yesterday for Happy Hour and were pleasantly surprised at what they had to offer. Some ordered meals off of the regular menu to go. The high top chairs were comfortable and the place wasn't too crowded. Then again, it was a Wednesday around 6:00 pm. The waitress helped us with questions that we had. She was good overall with service. My friends started with a pretzel to share and really liked that. It came with two dipping sauces. I ordered the chicken poblano tacos. While they were good, I didn't taste poblano peppers at all. The tortilla chips were mundane but the salsa had a nice kick to it. The container was tiny so I asked for more salsa so others could share the chips. The hit at the table was the chicken wrap with Mac n cheese. I didn't try it but it got rave reviews. A good spot for craft beer and bites in Pembroke Pines. This is a good go-to place in Pembroke Gardens outdoor mall. The service is usually hit or miss but it's more hits than anything. I'm a beer gal and love grabbing an IPA from here but also appreciate getting to try samples of beers when a flavor or description piques my interest. I've come here for food a few times and its been pretty good. They do have a happy hour but you have to ask the server when it is. The last time I went, she said the late night happy hour started at 11pm which is suuuuuper late. Not sure if I'll ever make it to that but have to ask when the regular happy hour is. My favorite part of this Brass Tap is the machine that lets you pick out songs that will play throughout the whole establishment. It does cost money but if you're having a good time, it is usually worth it to set the tone. We have tried a great many breweries, and while some can be hit or miss, The Brass Tap consistently has our favorite beers on tap....such as strong ales and Belgian beers. Delicious! We opt for beer flights so we can try some new ones and savor old favorites. The Brass Tap is located in the outdoor Pembroke Gardens Mall. Parking is easy. Firs time here and it was empty on a Saturday which is to be expected. The bartender seemed like the only one working but she was super cool. Super nice. Four stars for the AMAZING beer selection and having the option for flights! I couldn't pick one. We ordered the angus sliders and meh, were definitely disappointed because there was no "cowboy sauce", or any sauce for that matter. The waffle fries were tasty. We mentioned it to the bartender and she was apologetic and tweaked our total (not necessary but super rad) and she ensured us that the burgers themselves are better so I'll certainly give it another go. Especially given the beer selection. Parking is what it is. It's at the Shoppes so it's an agiles person game. What a delightful evening we spent yesterday at this bar! Outdoor tables, no wait (it was 6:30 Pm after watching all the lights!) and the drinks (old fashioned; best !) (Not a beer person but they have them all!) and food (delicious food!) music, people- service all perfect! We sat outside and counted passerby's with and withou masks as we sipped ate and drank- overall what a great feeling to sit around people again... All staff was wearing masks and signs for masks We're played throughout. The food: very yummy!! The burger reminded us of the res robin burning love : that was a favorite! The fries weee fresh and delicious. I got the brussel sprouts, those were unremarkable... but then I also got their bam bam shrimp: YES! fresh, the breading was delicate, not overwhelming- and the hot sauce was hot and delicious!! Definitely getting those again. Did I mention perfect old fashioneds? Yummmm . We got 2 drinks each, all that food and paid $60; not bad at all! I'm back in the hometown and had to stop by a one of the top 10 bars in Pembroke Pines once again. If you're from pines you know there isn't many dive bars but this place is my next favorite option. They always have rotating beers on tap along with a line of very unique glass bottles to pour you up. The food has improved over the years but I didn't come by to eat this time. I went with the southern tier pumking beer with a cinnamon sugar rim. This is one of their highlighted seasonal beers on tap for the Halloween season. It was a light and refreshing beer but full of flavor. The cinnamon sugar rim paired really well with the beer. The service was just right and the ambiance is cozy and comfortable. My husband and I recently moved and can no longer visit our old regular spot. Brass Tap has unequivocally become our new, regular, never-fails spot. Monday has a special for these five-dollar cheese burgers and fries--can't go wrong. For an extra dollar, you can get bacon on these bad boys. Anyone that knows my hubby and I knows that we are really big on service. Carly, Maria, and Scott really know how to make you feel at home. Thankfully the food is actually delicious and the beer selection is phenomenal. They have an array of drafts, including some impressive Stouts and Porters--those are hard to come by at your average bar. My husband and I were out with another couple on Sunday looking for a new brunch to try and we stumbled across this amazing place. So we walk up and it is seat yourself. They have regular tables, high top tables and bar seating indoors. We elect to sit outside at a high top table for 4. The server came over in less than a minute and had the best personality and a great knowledge of the menu and what was offered at brunch. Her name is Jade and it felt like she wanted to be there and always had a smile on her face. They have $6 unlimited mimosas at brunch with different add ins like orange juice, passion fruit, cranberry and pineapple. They bring everything to your table so you can mix then yourself which was perfect. You could change flavors or even mix them together. Jade kept a champagne bottle on our table so we never had to wait for a drink. The food was yummy. I had a waffle that was dusted with powdered sugar and fluffy. 2 people in our party had the breakfast tacos. Soft shell taco with scrambled eggs, bacon etc. that came with fries or breakfast potatoes. That dish was hot, fresh tasted good. The place was clean and orderly. Conversation was easy with the noise level. I recommend you stop by for Sunday brunch ask for Jade. Ok this an update a week after the first review. This visit was not as good as the first. Jade no longer works there but Kenny was great. The bathroom was dirty and had over flowing trash. The house potatoes and the fries were ordered well done. They came out undercooked and were sent back to be redone. When they came back they were even more under cooked. I asked and was told they were well done but didn't look like it because they just changed the oil. So I tried a fry and it wasn't even cooked through. My husband's brunch never came because for some reason they served it to someone at the bar. We were charged full price for the food we couldn't eat. The only thing good this time was our server Kenny. Definitely a loss of 3 stars. Would not recommend. read more

They are now open for business. We hung out there last night (Friday). We kept our distance, sat outside and had a view. We both ordered drinks. My other half ordered beer which was really good but my vodka & sprite was really just sprite w/almost no vodka. Weak and not good. It was happy hour which is 1/2 off drinks but the bill showed full price. We got it taken off but that's one of my pet peeves (get the check right especially when there are specials). Service was friendly but very slow. It could have been since they've just opened due to Covid-19 so super understandable. Parking is good. Brass Tap is a decent spot in the Pembroke Gardens plaza to grab some noms and sips while socializing in the western reaches of the 954. I came after my good friend "Foquita" Birthday party nearby. Located at the south end of Pembroke Gardens, I was able to get self-parking relatively close to the entrance. The restaurant wasn't that busy when we got there, and service was pretty good. I'm holding back a few stars because by choice I stayed with just soda, but the beer menu does seem impressive for next time. Besides lots of TV's (to watch the Heat win!) at least when we were the spot was actually pretty quiet where we could all maintain good chitchat. As far as food, I ordered a (sizeable) bucket of chips and salsa for our table. The chips had just the right amount of crisp, weren't greasy and the pico was fresh with a nice kick. My main was their Buffalo Chicken wrap with waffle fries. Waffle fries are a favored food fetish, a guilty pleasure and these were done pretty good. They could have had a little more crisp but still all good. My waitress even brought out extra bbq sauce for me, as well as customizing the blue cheese out of the sandwich, The wrap had just the right amount of heat, and plenty of chicken pieces. Oh, so many fond memories at The Brass Tap full of drinks and shopping with a dear friend. Anyway, I hadn't gone to The Brass Tap in years. Three, in fact, I believe, so consider me surprised when my boyfriend and I spontaneously ended up there this past Friday. Turns out we couldn't decide where exactly to go, or rather, we had a few ideas, but the thought of alcohol ended up taking us here. It was meant to be. We got a parking space right in front of the bar and it was raining, or rather, it had rained, and we somehow managed to get lucky and stay dry. When we entered, we also got the last available table. The waiter attended us right away and my boyfriend ordered a beer, while I had a wild berry cider. Both drinks were superb, and well, we decided to munch on some food. We got a combination appetizer and that had chicken, shrimp, onions, and tater tots, with some BBQ sauce and some cheese. The food was cooked fine, but it was lacked flavor. If you didn't dip it in the sauce, the quality definitely suffered. Not to mention that the shrimp felt more like it was pure bread rather than shrimp. Simply not the best choice for food. From the moment I walked in, Hailey made me feel welcome and went above and beyond to ensure that my experience was top-notch. She made expert drink recommendations, chatted with me about the local area, and overall just made me feel like a valued customer. In addition to Hailey's excellent service, the atmosphere at Wicked was lively and fun. The bar itself was stylish and modern, with a great selection of drinks and snacks.
