This was my first time coming to this restaurant, wait was approximately 15 mins for a party of 2 not bad. We got seated outside and there was shade which I appreciate. I definitely enjoy the multicultural menu. Food did take 33 minutes to come out but was very delicious. Coffee was also amazing. Ambiance was fresh and was giving spring vibes inside. I was just very disappointed with our waiter he forgot a few of our dishes but once we made him aware he brought them out. Also once food was dropped off he never came to check on us at all, we had to ask the busboy for our utensils & condiments he was very friendly I appreciate him a lot more than our waiter.

This has been my 2nd visit since my first review. That review was during the first week after this place initially opened. I was happy to see the improvement. The food was good and the service was excellent. I will return for a 3rd visit, I am glad to see this place is still open and business is growing.

    Loco Moco
    Shellaine G.

Came here because the place is always packed and I wanted to see if the hype was worth it. Unfortunately, the experience was underwhelming from start to finish. We stood at the entrance for a while without anyone acknowledging us even though staff clearly saw us there. Not the best first impression. The restaurant itself is spacious with plenty of seating, so I can see why it's popular for brunch groups. Food-wise, it was hit or miss. The corned beef skillet had really flavorful corned beef, but the potatoes were overly mushy. The loco moco was the bigger disappointment -- the burger patty tasted extremely burnt, almost like charcoal, and made the dish hard to eat. The gravy and rice saved it a little, and the kimchi on the side was actually pretty good. Also noticed the mac salad that was supposed to come with it never arrived. Service stayed slow throughout the meal, especially when it came time to pay. We waited forever just to get the check. Overall, definitely not worth the hype.

Quick service, hearty servings, lively atmosphere. The Breakfast Club is a chain restaurant known for their namesake food and also brunch and lunch. They have everything from huevos rancheros to sandwiches to pancake stacks. The only drawback in this location is difficulty finding parking and the looong wait times during the weekend, so try to get a reservation if you can. If not, you can always grab a coffee nearby or walk around the shops across the street.

We just went to the Livermore location and stumbled across this one the other day. Breakfast is just that, breakfast, the basics. I will say, something did not sit well with my stomach after this visit. Not sure if I would go back to this location. The tables are too close for me and when we sat outside there was a speaker right above us so we went inside to sit at the bar with more space.

Short rib hash, chicken apple sausage omelette, Georgia peach bubbles, sourdough toast
    Sabrina Z.

Came here on a Friday at 1 pm. Restaurant wasn't too crowded and we were seated right away. We ordered: - Short rib hash- 3.7/5 rating (needed more flavor, hash was misleading, it was more like a baked potato, there was an egg shell, and the short rib was a little dry) - chicken apple sausage omelette (with sourdough toast and hash brown) - 4/5 (just a standard omelette) - Georgia peach bubbles- 3/5 (tasted like an orange mimosa with a sugar rim)

So pleasantly surprised to see that they have a breakfast club in the Castro Valley!! This upscale, trendy breakfast place has a variety of offerings. They have basic breakfasts - both savory and sweet- but also dishes some Mexican and Asian flair. -Chilaquiles (4/5) - yummy and huge portion. Served with short rib, beans, and hash browns. The green sauce is a perfect mild, and it's served with lots of toppings - cheese, guac, jalapeños - the works. -Korean fried chicken and rice (4/5) - the chicken was a little on the spicier side but overall a good dish! We came after the lunch hour, about 2 pm, and were seated outside without a wait. The restaurant is very spacious and vibey. Service was friendly, and food came out in about 10-15 min. They were very accommodating and sat us in an area that could fit my stroller. I'll definitely be back to this location for brunch!

Me and my friend were quite surprised to see that they had opened a new Breakfast at Midtown -- because to be honest, we had only knew of the one near Downtown San Jose. The logo looked legit, so we decided to give it a try. All I will say is -- despite being really spontaneous about it, I do not regret going to this new location. Not only is it closer to me in terms of distance to my house, but also, it is very close to work for me, and a prime location for me and my Castro Valley friends to meet up. The ambiance was also very similar to the one in San Jose, except The hospitality at the Breakfast at Midtown was top-tier. I really appreciated the fact that they were able to seat us inside despite how busy they were in the morning. We got a mimosa each, with orange juice, and Benedicts and omelettes. It was really savory, not too overly salted, and I thought that it was quite enough for both of us. The portion was so big that I had to take the rest to have for leftovers. Will definitely be back to bring more friends to this breakfast spot -- they are as equally yummy as the San Jose one, so thankfully they won't have to make that trek down to the South Bay if we wanted a taste.

    Tofu scramble
    Molly L.

We've come here a few times now and each time I've left feeling a little underwhelmed. This latest time, we ordered the Tofu scramble and the bacon scramble. The tofu scramble, I was told, was a popular dish, and it is made with no egg or meat products. But it was a little dry and the veggies in there lacked flavor as well. My partner liked the bacon scramble. He's also had the Korean chicken here, which he thought was generous in portion. I've had the huevos rancheros and was disappointed by the Tex-mex taste of the refried beans and lack of flavor. This place gets really busy especially on the weekends, and they did a great job remodeling the inside from the old Shari's Pies, which was much darker inside. But the staff is not super attentive because it gets so busy. The food is also a little on the pricy side as well.

If you're hungry and craving a big breakfast, brunch, or lunch, then The Breakfast Club is perfect! The portions are huge! I ate a good amount, and still have an entire meal as leftovers. Service and Staff: - Came here at 11:45am on a Monday and got seated right away (it was pretty busy) - Our server was kind and quick to take our order and get our food to us Food: - Pancake: ordered one to try and it was tasty. Quite large - Chilaquiles: choice of red or green sauce. Massive portion between the chips, eggs of your choice, fruit, choice of hash browns or potatoes, and refried beans - Low Carb Scramble: also quite a large portion, but healthy! Miscellaneous: - Parking available via shared parking lot with other businesses - Low tables and high tops available - Good for small and larger groups - Bar seats available also

We were visiting mom and decided to go to breakfast/brunch afterwards. The Breakfast Club came up in a Yelp search with a bunch of other places. Never knew they were a chain but we decided to try it. Okay, pics were taken after I started eating (sorry! I was hungry!). I ordered the split Benedict - 1 surf & turf and 1 Neptune. The hollandaise sauce was fricking amazing. I definitely liked the surf & turf much better than the Neptune but both were tasty. Service was on pointe. We were sat outside but the sun made things uncomfortable because the umbrellas did not shield provide adequate shade. There was no longer available inside. Oh well. There was no wait to sit outside.

MAC & CHEESE - $19 - Homemade mac & cheese with bacon, topped with eggs.
    Tu-Anh N.

WHEN: Wed @12:30pm Wow this place is huge, with seatings in the front, inside, and the back outdoor patio! Unfortunately parking is a bit difficult around lunchtime even though it's a huge free lot. But not terrible if you don't mind walking a tiny bit. I met up with 2 fine folks for lunch, and here's what we family styled: MAC & CHEESE - $19 Homemade mac & cheese with bacon, topped with eggs. Choose to have my eggs sunny side up, and it's really good! The pasta is cheesy and saucy, with the crunchy and savory bacon bits. The egg yolk makes it more saucy and you are happy to have so much protein in this dish! If you are a fan of both Mac n cheese and breakfast, I highly suggest ordering this best of both worlds! MIDTOWN SCRAMBLE - $20 Scrambled eggs with ham, mushrooms, green onions, tomato, cheddar jack cheese, and sour cream on a bed of hashbrowns. Topped with hollandaise. So happy I was able to replace the ham with sausage instead! The hashbrown. For my bread option, I chose COFFEE CAKE, and it was such a nice and yummy dessert to my brunch, hehe. It has blueberries! But the main reason why we chose this scramble was that it comes with hollandaise sauce! I never seen this, and boy was it yummy! CORNED BEEF HASH (SIDE) - $9 Such a big serving for a "side". Very shareable and I appreciate the balance amount between carbs (potato's) and meat! CHORIZO (SIDE) - $5 You get one huge grilled link that you can share too. So good. I like it here and would like to come back. I love how much you get to customize your meals, and if you mix match! For example, if you can't decide on which pancake, french toast, or eggs Benedict, you can mix it up instead of have them all be one flavor. So clever. I have to come back.

Integrated into downtown Hayward just a block from the theater and other eateries and drink spots, Khao Hom has made a strong impression in the local community drawing a good following for weekend brunch as well as weekday lunch. With street parking right in front as well as sharing free public parking in the lot behind the restaurant, once you've slogged through traffic to get to this area, you'll be able to easily park and venture in for your food experience. As you enter, you'll likely need to wait for one of their staff members to seat you in one of their two dining spaces. The rooms are well lit and enhance the ambiance of your meal (and photos) with natural lighting. When seated, you'll get their food and drinks menu in addition to finding their dessert menu at the table. As standard, each table gets a carafe of water for you to serve yourselves. Their menu is quite extensive in representing popular Thai flavors with a bit of flare. You'll find curries, soups, noodles and chef specialties in their own sections of the menu. They also have some alcohol infused drinks for those looking for a full brunch experience. As a novice to some Thai dishes, I did have to ask the staff to explain a bit about certain dishes, but there were a few that caught my eye and never let go. Thai tea - flavorful and bold; rich but not too sweet Matcha latte - rich matcha flavor and creamy; best sipped and can be packed in a to-go cup if you don't finish Tom yum crab omelet - beautifully crafted omurice-esque dish where you'll find white rice encased in an egg omelet topped with succulent pieces of crab meat and smothered in tom yum soup. This dish is not only a pleasure to look at but the taste and textures in each bite will have you salivating for more until the dish completely disappears. This unique take is a must get for first timers! Roti gai tod - crispy fried yet succulent chicken served with a small serving of creamy yellow curry, white rice, and a roti alongside their delicious chili sauce. Fantastic balance of textures and flavors will have your tongue dancing from the spices. Tom kha soup - a bowl of comfort with a whole lot of shredded chicken, red onions, and mushrooms with a few big quarters of fresh tomatoes. It's not as creamy as I would like but the flavor is there with its abundance in lemongrass. The portion is large as one order can easily split into two bowls. Fried ice cream - a meal topper and sweet indulgence for those looking to try something new and rarely found elsewhere. This giant meteorite of a breaded and fried ball of vanilla ice cream is topped with chocolate fudge, powdered sugar, a generous helping of whipped cream and plenty of fruit (strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, grapes, and cantaloupe). Definitely shareable and a surprising star of their dessert menu - they could definitely do more to advertise this! The staff were super friendly and quick to take dirty dishes out of the way. They kept the place clean, served the food promptly and treated all of their customers with respect and smiles. Top notch crew from the front of the house to the back. Furthermore, should you need the restrooms, they do have two gender neutral rooms that were decently maintained. Overall, Khao Hom is not your everyday Thai restaurant nor is it your run of the mill brunch spot - this is a unique experience with food created out of passion to merge these together. The result is an aesthetically pleasing yet hunger extinguishing meal that will have you discovering new flavors and craving for more. With its proximity to the city center, it's a great a spot to plan out a lunch or brunch before a nice stroll around or a movie. Thai food has never looked and tasted so good!

They came out buttery and piping hot, even with little hand-stamped letters on them so you know what you're eating, and it was so delicious. Most are about $5.50 each. Add oregano chimichurri for a bit extra if you want or pair with a tea, but these empanadas really hit the snacky spot. It's so cozy, very cute inside. It feels like being at a relatives house, they cook with so much love and passion! Ive tried their breakfast, lunch, side dishes and they never disappoint. Their food taste so fresh, non greasy and delicious! I've introduced this place to my friends and my boyfriend and they love it! They're always so consistent with their food and the taste! Not to mention the price! High quality meals, conveniently located right next to the freeway for a fraction of the cost of what you might pay at a corporation or franchise. I love hills and will continue to support them! The ambiance I so nice too, all ages dine here and they're all possibly and most likely your neighbors! It's a great way to socialize with the community and everyone's always so open even at their own tables. It's a great experience dining in and it's never a dull moment. Even if you're not interested in conversations, I like to listen to what others around me are talking about haha. It's great! 10/10 all around!!
