Good local pub.
If you live in the student area of Derby and fancy a local night away from the students, then The Brick And Tile is the place for you.
It's far from a sleepy old man pub, and frequently hosts discos and other events..yet still remains a cosy and friendly atmosphere.
The drinks are reasonably priced but the pub doesn't serve food. The decor is rather like it's name - lots of brick exposed walls, with old doors and lots of comfy bench style seating.
One of the really nice homely things about this pub is the pub dog, Henry. He's a really friendly big old dog, who loves a variety of crisp snacks (although you shouldn't really feed him!), but as soon as he hears a crisp packet wrinkle he will be at your feet.
So yes - local boozer, with local people, yet friendly and charming. read more
