After I purchased my dress, the proprietor, Amanda, assured me that my dress would be in in 4-6 weeks (I ordered in December. She said Feb. or early March - "latest"). Wedding is in May. When the dress was still MIA in March, we called and she said that it was still being made, and it would be here April 5th. Call again yesterday, and allegedly she contacted the manufacturer again, who stated that their factory in China was closed for a month in February. This was never mentioned when we called in March. She then said that my dress should be here by April 30th, whereby it then has to be shipped to the Soo, and then back to Toronto where I can get it altered presumably in time. What would possibly make me assume she isn't lying at this point, considering she's switched up the goal posts twice already? We asked for our deposit back. They say it's non-refundable, yet there is nothing stated on their website or in their store describing as much. So now out the deposit. What about if we take the sample dress - then when my dress comes in, they have a new sample, and they get to liquidate their merch in the process? In the end, she charged me over $800 for a used sample dress, she gets a brand new floor model, and I have no choice but to take the sample as we are getting to the 11th hour and there is no way to order a new dress in time. Lies, unbelievably callous and shifty service, and no regard for customers; especially considering both my sister-in-law got her bridal and bridesmaid dresses there, my mom got her mother-of-the-bride dress there, and I also bought my veil there. Buyer beware. Just buy direct from China, at least that way you can cut out these con artists. read more
