The initial booking process was professional, and I particularly appreciated the honesty when they called me well in advance to correct a mistake on their initial quote. Unfortunately, this positive start did not last. The main issues began on the day of the MOT and service. A misunderstanding over the 8 am appointment time, which was not clarified in the text reminder I received, meant I arrived later than expected. I am happy to own my part in that delay; however, the reaction I received from one of the mechanics was completely unprofessional. Rather than explaining the situation, he was visibly angry, repeatedly checked his watch, and spoke to me in a condescending tone that made me feel incredibly unwelcome. This is not how any customer should be treated. The most significant failure, however, was the complete breakdown in communication later in the day. After approving necessary repairs, I was left waiting for an update. I received no calls at all towards the end of the day. It was only at 5:30 pm, after the reception and workshop staff had apparently gone home, that another employee fortunately thought to check and call me to say my car was still on the ramp and would not be ready. To be left without my car overnight, with no warning whatsoever from the team responsible, is simply unacceptable. The car was ready the next morning, and the final repair work seems fine. However, even the complimentary car wash was symbolic of the lack of care shown--it was a poor effort that failed to remove simple surface dirt. While the reception staff were friendly and the work was eventually completed, the stressful encounter with the mechanic and the shocking lack of end-of-day communication mean I cannot recommend this garage. A business is only as strong as its weakest link, and unfortunately, the disorganisation and unprofessional attitude here overshadowed any positives.

John is a friendly guy and when I was having problems with the electrics on my car on Saturday, I called up and he was more than happy if I ran it down for him to give it a good looking over. Turned out it was a blown fuse that was easily replaced within 10 minutes and with me fully expecting to pay to have it fixed he gave it to me for free and said no probs. This is the sort of great local business still out there and I'll definitely still keep going here for the great service and great MOT's.

Hes a one man mechanic who is also a big fan of social media (live by the sword die by the sword) & radio star (The Car Guru on Oldham's 96.2 The Revolution). Paul made me feel very much at easy today when dropping my car off. A Very friendly bloke who explains stuff in english & doesn't confuse you with mechanical jargon. He is also "Female Friendly" approved. As a driver i'm now glad i have found somewhere where i feel i won't be ripped off.

Don't waste your money - stay well away…read more This outfit took £190 and failed to do the job that was requested - the dpf was blocked on a Vauxhall Insignia, I was told that £190 job would definitely sort out the problem, a number of weeks later and after doing no more than 100 miles the dpf filter remains blocked - I have a aa report to confirm this - this outfit claims they can clear a dpf filter with their so called chemicals - it has definitely not worked on my car - I have re contacted the business owner and he has refused to return to do the job again - avoid this company at all costs - they do not deliver on their promises - I am also contacting trading standards

Pros: Friendly city centre garage providing all the usual services you would expect such as MOT,…read moreservicing, tyres. Being in the city centre its quite convient if you drop off your car in the morning, go to the shops or check out a movie and then your car is ready. I think if you have an MOT / service they also wash the car for you (dont quote me on that one!) Cons: Since its not the largest garage in the world they sometimes dont have what you want in stock. I needed some continental tyres for my car and they had to order them in. (Admittedly it didnt take long at all for them to get them in).

They made every effort to reduce the total cost to me and went to great lengths to explain what they were doing. Honesty and integrity are the cornerstone of this business, There is one thing worse than an costly engine breakdown.. thats the feeling that it has been made more expensive by the garage.Thankfully I drove away assured that these "proper mechanics" had done a great job as cost effectively as possible. When I went in to get a front light fixed they noticed a back one was out also and replaced that; when I had to get a new battery it cost less than the AA guy quoted me for my car to be fixed at an AA suggested garage. Brilliant! One always gets greeted with guttural Yorkshire tones and a 'love' just for good measure. Basically I would recommend this place because it's honestly cheap with no messing around.
