We ordered a $15 rectangle Detroit pizza, which was absolutely superb. However, they serve such a flimsy, plastic knife and fork. You can barely cut through the pizza much less eat it! I am emphasizing "strongly" that the business invest in better plasticware. My friend had a Diet Coke that was served in a can with a straw and it wasn't very cold. They don't provide ice, which is also a bit of a problem for people who like cold soft drinks. Also ice is pretty much necessary in water and some people like to also put it in their white wines. Other than that, what a great little restaurant downtown, Charleston is lucky to have them

Tony and I decided to give Short Story Brewing a try for our Valentine's Dinner. We found on street…read moreparking quickly only a few short steps from the entrance on this Rainy Sunday Afternoon! The building (though Vintage) was Open, Bright and Airy! A major plus to this Seasonal Depression Sufferer! We went to the bar to place our order! We opted for the Knotty Boy Garlic Knots for $10 & the Fully Loaded Detroit Style Pizza for $15I had a bottle of water and though he was very disappointed that it was ONLY their WV Craft Beer served, he went with what the bartender recommended (closest to a PBR & Budweiser that they offered ) for $5.50, total with taxes & Tip was $42. We were surprised that the food was out in like 15 minutes. We fully expected to wait since Detroit Deep Dish normally takes 30 minutes to 45 minutes to cook fully. This led us to believe it was PAR BAKED for faster Customer Service which to many is NOT A PLUS! The Garlic Knots were very doughy and extremely dense in texture. Not a fan! The service was fast and friendly but for the atmosphere, price and the fact they are trying to be trendy, the paper plates & plastic cutlery was a BIG NEGATIVE!! I know myself even if Melanac Hard Plastic for plates is okay, but I want true Silverware!! The sauce has a really Great flavor and the cheese pull was very nice on the pizza. The sauce served on top, a big big plus!! I live in Ripley, WV and drove 35 minutes one way to enjoy this meal, but the question is...would I do it again?? Probably NOT! I give them a 5 out of 5 on atmosphere and ambience they nailed that! I give them a 4 out 5 on Customer Service because the food came too fast!! I give them a 3 out 5 for the food, the sauce was perfect but everything else about taste and flavor was a hit and miss. The score might have been higher if I had left off the Knotty Boy Garlic Knots!! The beer though I tasted it wasnt bad but Im not a beer drinker, my hubby was very disappointed so thats 2 out of 5 stars and the tableware scores a zero!! I wasn't on a picnic and the paper and plastic screams picnic or lazy kitchen staff to me!! So, would I recommend? I must say overall, 3 stars out of 5 stars! I recommend you go and decide for yourself!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. The RailYard is hands down one of the best…read morerestaurants I've ever been to, and it's right here in Bluefield. From the food to the drinks to the service, every single detail is outstanding. On my first visit, I tried the fried green tomatoes, the famous chicken & waffle nachos, and the Bleu Monday burger with sweet potato fries each dish was so good that I found myself planning my return before I even left. Sure enough, the next day I was back and had the ridiculously delicious smoked Gouda shrimp mac, maple bacon Brussels sprouts, fire-roasted tomato soup with grilled cheese, and the chimmied fries. Absolutely phenomenal. The fried green tomatoes have officially become my standard nobody else compares now. The Samurai Jack salad so fresh, flavorful, and unforgettable. The drinks deserve their own spotlight. The Breakfast Club with a Sidecar is a must try, and the Basilto All Flavors series (strawberry, blackberry, blueberry) is out of this world, blueberry was my personal favorite. Creative, refreshing, and perfectly crafted. The RailYard is the kind of place that makes you excited to come back again and again. The vibe is cool, the staff/manager Brad is friendly and attentive, and the food is truly next level. Whether you're a student at Bluefield State or just passing through town, this place is an absolute must. The RailYard sets the bar high for food, drinks, and atmosphere in West Virginia. Worth every single visit and then some.
