This place was definitely hard to find, with the entrance as other yelpers said, hidden in the parking garage, and the outside one tucked in the back of the massive big box store. The eggette sundaes are huge and a complete decadent treat. The crispy eggettes come piled high with ice cream and toppings. They have many options for teas and toppings, making you have an indecision crisis with the option overload. I came especially for the jumbo-two-flavours cup and while it was good, was definitely not worth the $$ and it wasn't super fun to drink. Because I ordered two very different flavours (original and honeydew), it was disarming to jump between them. The store itself is fairly small but had a wide variety of food and drink options. It's been a while since I came here, but I still have fond memories of it! Didn't try their drinks (I know, even though it's called the Bubble Tea shop!), but got an egg bubble waffle and shared with several others. SUPER GOOD! We wanted mango, but it was out of season, so got the "bru'nana" instead, which is the waffle topped with brulee'd banana, sliced almonds and whip. I'd say it was perfect to share with four people, but maybe just two depending on how full you are (We came straight from lunch). We added mochi to the waffle batter, which I think is an extra $1? Making it about $9ish total. BUT definitely worth it. I wouldn't even try getting the waffle without mochi. I loved the chew the mochi added to the waffle, and who doesn't like brulee everything? Every time I visit Superstore I am tempted by the intoxicating sweet smells of bubble waffle and finally the day came when I couldn't hold it back and tried this place out with my girlfriend. It was a mango bubble waffle with a mound of fresh, semi-tart mangos, whipped cream, sweet creamy mango ice cream and topped off with mango syrup and powdered sugar. It was major mango madness people. The bubble waffle was more of a cakey texture and not the chewy egg waffle I like. However, with all the toppings it felt like a cake dessert to me. Lots of great flavours but sad the bubble waffle wasn't as good as I hoped for. Overall, a little pricey but a creative taste-plosion option for your bubble waffle cravings. If I could, 3.5 stars. When my friend posted beautiful photos of egg waffles on her Facebook, I was intrigued! Despite mixed review on Yelp I decided to give it a try. All the waffles are made to order and soon they are made they are placed on a cooling rack made of mason jars to curl them into the shape we see online. The original waffle (@$3.75) was crispy on the outside and chewy inside which is what egg waffles should be, and it's not too sweet. The taro milk tea (@$4.75) on the other hand, which I've requested to be half sweet and easy ice was out of this world sweet. In the case that the shop was busy( which it was) and the order was not made correctly, then I forgive. However do keep in mind your drink may be on the sweeter side. The pearls had nice chewiness to them and I liked them. What we can appreciate about this spot, is that based on a very traditional Hong Kong dessert concept, BBT gave it a new twist by adding Belgian waffle toppings on top, presenting the dessert in an aesthetically pleasing fashion while pricing it in a comparable fashion to Nero's Belgian Waffle. Most people will never find this place. It's located in the superstore parkade in Richmond. The most random location. Also it is always packed and has a huge line. You will be waiting 20-30 minutes for whatever you order and you most likely will not have a table. It's worth it all!!! We had the mango waffle, a avocado real fruit slush and an earl grey frap. We paid close to $25 with tip and it was all amazing. The waffle comes out on a board and was topped with a huge scoop of ice cream, mango and mango sauce. The drinks were creamy and delicious. We stumbled upon this place upon looking for HK BBQ masters. I think this spot is a gem for any dessert aficionados. The place is small and not too promising when you walk in. It just seems no one is in the counter to help you out because the employees are busy working. But be patient. I promise you this place is worth it. Enjoy the Knick knacks displayed on the wall or better yet, check out the menu and the pictures of desserts they serve. My husband and kids each ordered bubble tea. They tried mango, match red bean green tea and avocado bubble tea. I decided to be experimental and went for the tiramisu bubble waffle. This cost $10.35 but it's good enough to share by up to 3 people. The bubble waffle was oh so good and it had a nice crunch to it. The vanilla ice cream was delicious and had a nice sweetness to it. The cream was not too overwhelmingly too much and the chocolate syrup was great. My only complain is I couldn't taste a hint of coffee in it or liquor(which I would understand) so I'm not quite sure if it's really a tiramisu flavored dessert. Either way, it was devoured by my companions so easily. The bubble tea (smoothies/frappes) are also delicious. They were about $7.50 CDN and are about 20 oz it seems (good enough for 2). If you ask to have it here, they'll display your egg waffle nicely on a cutting board and bring it over to your table. I came here about an hour or so before they closed. I would say that the staff would need a little more training in terms of closing the store because at one point I felt that a fight was about to occur in the store as apparently their last call/orders are at 9:30 on a weekday. So if you're wanting to come here, come early! I came here with a group of friends so I got to try bits and pieces of their egg waffles. Haven't tried any of their drinks, but their bubble waffles are out of this world! I usually go to Bubble Queen to get my bubble waffle fix, but they were temporarily closed for the holidays. Since we have guests visiting from Ontario, we knew we had to find another bubble waffle place. So we perused Yelp for the best bubble waffle spots, and The Bubble Tea Shop seemed to be the clear winner. We ordered a Mocha Cheesecake Bubble Waffle and a Red Velvet Bubble Waffle with vanilla ice-cream on top for four people. Talk about delicious! Usually, food that looks attractive doesn't taste as good as it looks (at least in my experience). But the presentation of the bubble waffles on bamboo boards was absolutely gorgeous, and the food tasted even better then it looked! The MCC bubble waffle had little cheese cake pieces, a scoop of mocha ice cream, an oreo and plenty of decadent whipped cream on top. And the red velvet ice cream came with a generous side of cream cheese. Couldn't say which desert was better, since they were both so delicious. Yes, we had to wait 15 minutes for our order (and there were only 3 other people in the shop) but the wait was well worth it. I've been to other bubble waffle places where they had the waffles made in under 5 minutes, but the waffles were stale, soggy and old with almost no filling. So if you hate waiting, just order online and then head to The Bubble Tea Shop to pick up your waffles in 15 minutes. That's what I plan to do next time. I subbed the pearls to grass jelly free of charge. I finally and I say finally ordered their waffles. I was on the fence of getting the super mango, mango cheesecake or the apple crumble. At last, I ordered the super mango ($8.95) which consists of fresh mangoes (of course!), mango ice cream (yes!) and whipped cream. It took about 30-35 minutes for our order to come. Not quite sure how they handle their orders but I noticed the people after us getting their drinks before we got our stuff. I know they were getting take out but shouldn't things be done in a chronological order? When we did get our stuff, the entire waiting area was cleared. That was how long it took! Not happy about this. To make the night worse, my drink came in a deformed cup. Can't even stand on the table properly (so yeah, no pics). It was not a thick as I remembered and way too sweet. The sweetness level was almost like condensed milk. The waffle on the other hand was aesthetically pleasing. I was already full from dinner so I didn't eat much of it. The drink on the other hand we overwhelming and came extremely messy! It very overfilled to the point where when we received it the outside of the cup was all sticky! Talk about a pet peeve. So if you want a loud environment go in the evening, and if you want a quieter, less busy environment, definitely go during noon hours. What I ordered: Supreme matcha bubble waffle ($8+) and a frozen hot chocolate ($6+) The supreme matcha isn't on the TV menus above, it's a photo in front of the front counter. It was really good, wasn't too sweet or bitter! The frozen hot chocolate had plenty of whip cream on top and there was even chocolate drizzle and marshmallows. I've always wanted to try bubble waffles in Canada so before going on my Canada trip, I looked up "bubble waffles" on Yelp and Instagram. The bbt shop bubble waffles immediately caught my eye because of how aesthetically pleasing the pictures looked. I showed my other friends and they wanted to try it as well. The Bbt shop is fairly easy to find and is just below the "Superstore" in Richmond. Instead of serving the bubble waffles plain, they have a variety of different flavors such as strawberry or chocolate flavored bubble waffles. They also had different toppings for each flavor, including strawberries & cream and banana & whip cream. We ordered those two orders and they are presented very well. Awesome little gem right inside the super store parkade. Their presentation of their bubble waffle palates are just gorgeous. And super yummy! Specialty drinks are a bit pricy but well worth the cost. Their normal fruit teas are awesome as well. Nice clean and tidy inside the store and seats quite a lot of people.
