Food was easy, menu ca be accessed at the table with QR code or just walk up the "everything else" line and there's a menu up front. It's nothing fancy, typical bar food, but everything was good. Separate line for beer and wine. The two different lines made ordering and especially getting drinks really fast. The longest part was me deciding what to drink, but the bartender suggested options and let me taste them, I picked and was leaving with my drink in under 5 minutes or less. Casual setting and music for millennials. A little loud, but it's a bar not a library and it added to the fun atmosphere. Overall, had a fun time and would definitely go back! Staff were super nice and efficient. Great for groups because everyone orders what they want when they want and pays on their own so no awkward bill splitting!

We ordered at the counter and they provided alert to let us know when order was ready We all ordered burgers and sweet potato fries. Burgers were pretty average, liked the sweet potato fries which we all shared. The interior was setup with picnic sized tables and high ceilings with barrels on one wall.

We were on the patio and I'll tell you when I got up to leave my butt was sore because of the undersized metal chairs with no cushions. The other option on the patio would be wooden picnic tables that looked like you might get a sliver, a far cry from the tables and chairs you could see on the patio of their neighboring restaurant. Felt very cheap, like an area just to save a few bucks. My wife and I each ordered basic hamburgers without cheese, she upgraded her side to sweet potato fries. When the order came out they both had cheese and we reluctantly sent them back but they left the sides and about 10 minutes later we received our burgers. We ordered them medium and my wife's (we can call her Carrie) was perfectly cooked! Mine was a touch over but we both agreed it was a really good hamburger. Her sweet potato fries were as good as any I have tasted, crispy on the outside while moist and flavorful in the middle. My issue was with the drinks or I should say the serving of the drinks. I had an old fashioned and Carrie had wine. It took over 10 minutes to get that first drink and then I ordered a second when I sent the hamburger back. When the new burgers came Carrie ordered a second glass of wine that took over 15 minutes to receive, at this point we were well past eating. The restaurant was only about a quarter full and when we questioned the waiter of the wines whereabouts (which we got up to do) he then went to the bartender who wasn't busy and he came back and said he reminded him. I don't believe the problem was our server simply disorganization. Although we didn't dive very deep into the menu, what we had was quite good, it was the other aspects of the restaurant that were a fail. Oh and it was a quality old fashioned. 2.5 all in all

After a hike, I was looking for something to replenish my energy and this place did NOT disappoint!…read moreThe parking lot is a fair size, but it seemed to fill up quickly. There was a good amount of outdoor seating along with a few tables inside as well. The vibe there was pretty lively and fun, almost reminded me of old-time burger joints. After ordering my Spicy Johnny burger and onion rings, it only took about 15 minutes to receive it, which is understandable because the food is fresh and made to order! At first glance, it worried me that the burgers seemed slightly small and I was worried I would still be hungry afterwards. However, I was decently satisfied after eating (although I do still wish it was slightly bigger). The burger was packed with flavor and extremely juicy. The spice on it packed a decent punch that satisfied my tastebuds! And the onion rings were great! They weren't hot when I received them, but they were still crunchy. After the meal, I ordered a vanilla ice cream cone dipped in chocolate. Nothing more to say other than it was a refreshing way to end my dinner!

It took about 15 mins for my order but worth it for fresh food. For the sauces, they offered a variety including spicy thousand island, ranch, and etc. The burgers and onions rings were high quality and delicious. I was wondering if the burgers came with sides since they are in the pricier side, but it doesn't. But after eating my meal, I was pretty satisfied and everything tasted great, that the prices were justified. From photos, the burgers seemed small, but was happy to find out the burgers were a good size. I ordered the New Fashion and added cheese to it, plus family size onion rings. The burger was very filling and tasted really fresh and flavorful without being overpowering. But I do wish there was more lettuce than just one piece. The onion rings were made perfectly and wasn't overly greasy. After my meal, I went back to order a small ice cream cone dipped in chocolate. I love how they include this cute little plastic anti-drip cone holder! Overall, the entire experience was good and everything was delicious. I'd come back! (Random note; I've never seen a banana shaped wet floor sign before but that made me giggle hehe)

This visit took place on a Thursday morning, May 28, 2026. My friend and I were there to celebrate his birthday, which already set a different tone for the experience. The restaurant was quiet. Being early in the day, there was no rush or noise, just an easy stillness throughout the space. We chose to sit on the patio, which felt like the right decision given the weather. I can't fully speak to the interior atmosphere, since I joined my friend directly outside. Service was handled by a staff member whose name I unfortunately don't remember, but whose presence stood out throughout the meal. She was attentive without being intrusive, consistently present at the right moments, and delivered a level of service that felt natural and well paced. The meal began with a rabbit dish ordered by my friend. It was my first time trying rabbit, and it left a strong impression. The preparation was juicy and well seasoned, with a depth of flavor that made it memorable. Looking back, that first experience with rabbit also set a high expectation for any future rabbit dish I might order myself. My main was The Monk's Cellar burger, one of the restaurant's signature items. I ordered it with avocado. It initially arrived without it, but once requested, it was brought out promptly and it was some of the most cleanly presented avocado I've seen served alongside a burger. The burger itself delivered exactly what it was meant to. The beef had a solid, grounded flavor, and what stood out most were the pickled red onions, which added a sharp acidity that balanced the richness of the meat. The structure was simple, but effective, and everything felt intentional rather than overworked. With the avocado added, it became a more rounded and balanced bite. It's the kind of burger that doesn't try to reinvent itself it just executes well. For me, it remains a staple when I return. For dessert, we asked the server to recommend her personal favorite, which led us to a caramel cheesecake. It turned out to be one of the most memorable cheesecakes I've had. The cheesecake itself carried a rich caramel flavor, but what made it stand out was the combination . Each bite brought together cheesecake, crispy banana, a hint of chocolate or cacao, and nuts that added texture and contrast. It was sweet, but controlled complex without feeling forced. Definitely one of my favorites dessert I had ever tried. I won't go into detail about the drink, as I ordered something off menu (Salty Dog) but good. By the end of the meal, the impression remained consistent with previous visits. The Monk's Cellar is not a restaurant I go to constantly, but every time I do, it delivers. I've ended up here more than once for celebrations, including birthdays, which says something about the role it plays for me. Not every restaurant needs to reinvent itself. Some earn their place simply by being reliable when it matters. This one has consistently been that. Daniel Salguero.

I have thought about trying it for sometime, and Sunday was the day. I got my person off of his computer game and we drove down to a decently busy drive through, so we decided to go inside as we wanted to review the menu anyways. The restaurant was clean and cute, almost set up like a little diner. THIS PLACE HAS EVERYTHING. or at least every fast food type item I wanted to see on the menu. We ordered chicken strip basket, a jalapeño burger, a chocolate shake and fried zucchini. There was at least 40 other things on the menu that I wanted to order, but figured this was a solid order for our first time. There was a little confusion with the cashier over the jalapeño burger, but I refuse to dock stars for a cashier who looked like they were still in training. The important part of the mix up, was the chef came out to clarify exactly what we wanted, so it was never really a problem to begin with. That chocolate shake has been living in my head rent free ever since, because it was perfect. The jalapeño burger (we ended up with 3 patties instead of two, per the menu confusion) basically brought tears to my partners eyes because it was so perfect. And they actually season their fries!!! I would give 6 stars if I could. Don't sleep on this gem. Whether you would call it a drive in or just fast food it is AWESOME.
