On Saturday our little family stopped in for lunch after visiting the library. We ordered the Mango Lemonade, Sweet Potato Fries, Muensters Inc, Crazy Hawaiian on Sourdough and Kids Cheeseburger. Lemonade was very sour and sweet. Sweet Potato Fries were fantastic! I love the film, but didn't care for my burger. Hubby loved the Crazy Hawaiian! Our toddler's patty was burnt. Sweet staff! We were in Woodland looking at a horse trailer and searching for English riding boots. Saw TBS on the way through downtown decided to check the Yelp reviews looked good. Brianna at Tack Warehouse said if she were going to lunch that's where she'd go that sealed the deal. Great space and great staff. Good was off the hook. Fried pickle starter. I had the Murican and Paula had the Sophisticate. Both burgers were cooked exactly as ordered. The chef bailed the cook perfect med rare for me nice juicy rare for Paula. If you're ever in Woodland and craving a burger, look no further than the Burger Saloon located at 601 Main St. I got the Bacon Bacon Burger (thick-cut Bacon, aged cheddar, and Bacon aioli); and she got the Bistro Burger (brie, fried egg, mixed greens, crumbled Bacon with roasted garlic aioli). The burgers had great flavor; and the long strips of thick-cut Bacon on my burger was unbelievable! If I ask for a Bacon cheeseburger, this is exactly what I want! Lol My wife enjoyed hers as well as it was her first time having an egg on a burger. One thing to keep in mind is if you want fries they come separately. You can get a small or large; we got the large and it's enough to share between two people. I would definitely come back if I was in the area. They accommodate large groups well. We had our holiday team lunch here, and it was a great spot for it. We were there a little past the lunch rush, so it was lively but not overly crowded. They sat us right away and had menus ready. The burgers are a la carte, so you order your fries, onion rings, etc. all separate. I got the Gaucho burger and a pomegranate cider. Both were delicious. The waitress brought me a chilled glass for the cider which was in a can. The Gaucho burger has garlic aioli, roasted tomatoes, jack cheese and chimichurri. I would totally order it again. It was the best burger I've had in a while. The onion rings, regular fries and sweet potato fries were all great. Good texture and flavor. We ordered a couple for the table, and there was plenty to share. The prices are pretty reasonable, and the service was great! Nothing wrong with The Burger Saloon! Came into the restaurant this afternoon with a group of 3 adults and 5 kids. We were told there would be a wait which was fine but kept noticing tables were vacant and then people that came after us were being sat. About 20 mins went by and it seemed like a table was being put together and cleaned for us to be seated. But another group that came in only a couple minutes prior sat themselves and the staff decided to serve them. It's almost like they didn't want to have our group dine at this establishment. This is a solid spot - great location smack dead center in historic downtown Woodland, decor is festive, and the service is great. About the food: My party and I opted for the build your own burger option - both on gluten-free buns. I added pastrami shavings to mine and enjoyed the variety of sauces offered. The burgers were just okay flavor wise. I'd put them both at the same level as Red Robin - problem is that this spot is more expensive and the burger orders didn't include fries, etc. I'd likely not be back, just based on my own preferences. My daughter and I had a great meal here before a show at the Woodland Opera House, which is on the same block. They had a lot of menu options, so we will definitely come again. We started with the fried pickle chips, which were nice and thin with a thin batter that didn't overwhelm the pickles. My daughter had a bacon cheeseburger, and I had the Bacon Avo Blue (bacon, avocado mash, and blue cheese). I got mine with a lettuce wrap, which was nice crispy butter lettuce. We also order fries - which were well cooked. My only criticism (and the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5) is that I feel fries should come with your burger. Shout out to Zack, the owner of this fine establishment. We arrived in Woodland late on Friday night to attend Midnight Mass ( car show). We had struck out on finding an open restaurant around our hotel. We checked at The Burger Saloon and had just been told by the hostess that the kitchen was closing in 5 min. We stood outside, trying to figure out where we were going to find some grub. Zack came out and ushered us back in, assuring us that the kitchen would prepare food and that it wasn't any trouble at all. This was amazing and very much appreciated by this hungry group.
