We bought a Groupon but Burger Shack would not accept it because they had no scanner for reading the hard copy. The manager said they will only accept Groupons from the mobile app. I do not use and will not install the app since the Groupon terms clearly state that printed vouchers can be presented. Never had this problem with any other Groupon merchant. Wasted my time dealing with BS. At least Groupon apologized and is issuing a refund. read more

This place is awesome. We've been to their place in Chantilly which is tiny, this place is much bigger. Burgers were juicy and well prepared.I was very impressed that they had good vegan options, several of them. I didn't ask if they were cooked on a separate grill. Flavors were great and the fries were not greasy. My son had a salad and it was really fresh. This place reminds me of Fosters, only better. Great customer service. Just had my first experience at the new Burger Shack in Ashburn. Comey Hotdog awesome, Sweet Potato fries a little greasy but still good. I especially like that they have hand dipped ice cream for the milkshakes. I would recommend stopping by for friendly service, good food and did I say, prices are reasonable too. read more

So I'm from the Philly-Jersey area and I saw a review that a guy from Jersey Shore loved this place so I said let's try it. I walk in, there's a bunch of customization options on the menu, and I'm already intrigued by the menu. I later find out while ordering, that the main man of this restaurant that took my order is my friend's dad. Now, I'm already sold on this place, I love it. Then, I try the food. One of the best burgers and shakes I've ever tried. Better than BurgerFi, Five Guys, and any other burger place you can think of. Loved it, loved it, loved it. Tried the Memphis style hot dog and the BBQ burger and both were excellent. The BBQ sauce they use seems to be a Memphis style (duh) and tastes exactly how it should with sweetness and stickiness. The burger was cooked perfectly and the pretzel bun was off the charts. The tater tots were delicious. They were crisp when we got home from our car ride, which is impressive. Will absolutely be coming back. Staff was great too. Good on the phone and in person. I love that this place has vegetarian and vegan options. There are three burgers and one hot dog that are vegetarian and four vegan burgers. I'm vegan and it's usually hard to find one option. The beyond burger is a classic burger. The lentil burger has a lot of flavor but is a little crumbly. The falafel burger is a little crunchier than I would like but it's also a good option. The portabella cap burger is the only one I wouldn't have again. I'm not a fan of caramelized onions and the patty portion is a couple slices of portabella. read more

Had the worst experience ever here. This was our first time here and decided to try it as it came up on the belly app. On the app it said that you have a 20% off your order the first time. It never came off our order and we told the guy and he said he didn't know what we were talking about so we showed him on the phone. It plainly said it. He just kept saying he didn't know what we were talking about. At this point we said forget it and just wanted our money back. He was flustered and he cancelled the order then he told us that he would just give us the 20% back in cash. Ok fine right? Well we got our meal also I should say I ordered a kids meal for myself as I didn't want anything big. The manager ( I assume) decided to come outside where we were eating halfway thru our meal and said we were scammers and he gave us the 20% off out of the kindness of his heart. He said I should have respect and not have ordered a kids meal because I was not a kid. Even though there is nothing in writing on the menu and he never said I couldn't when I ordered it. He then proceeded to yell at us and then locked the doors ( yes, they were getting ready to close but there were other patrons inside still eating), and was telling them about us calling us scammers to them. I had my teenage daughter with me as well as my husband and my daughter got so upset because of the slander this guy Eddie was saying. I will never return there again. We were just originally asking for our money back as he had really bad customer service skills. It was not our fault that it was on their belly app that there was a 20% off. And yes that 20% off does mean a lot to some people. We ended up taking our food home because we did NOT need to put up with the abuse from that employee. So its just ok. I wanted it to be more. I like the menu. The people are nice. There is a lot of burger competition around here. The patty melt was ok, meat tasted a bit bland. I asked for pickles on my burger but didnt get any, loaded fries had no salt very light on flavor and the bacon doesn't taste like bacon much. I wondered while eating it if it came pre-crumbled in a bag. Above all its too expensive. $17 for a small burger and fries. This is more than any actual restaurant and the meat is not even organic or local. I doubt I will go back. read more

Great burgers! First time to Burger Shack. I had no idea they had so much on the menu (including gluten free buns, turkey and vegetarian options) and will go back to try other things. The staff was polite and friendly, the place was clean, the food was good and delivered timely with friendliness! I'm not sure if it was the Manager or Owner, but he was very on top of things and made it a point to visit each table to check on. I appreciated that and felt there was genuine interest in my response. There is also a nice outside area for seating. We will go back soon! read more

We had dinner here today and it was very tasty. I had the falafel burger which was very flavorful and perfectly crisp on the outside. I like their signature buns as well. Fries are golden and crispy. Their onion rings are my new favorite!! My husband got the Beyond burger. We weren't expecting to find the Beyond burger here but it's my husbands fav and hard to find!! Kiddos got tenders and were happy. We look forward to coming back as they have 6 vegan/veggie friendly options!! Friendly service and outside patio for sitting. Super clean as well. We are very excited to have a Burger Shack located so close to us! Their burgers are top notch. My kids have both gluten and dairy allergy and they have never failed us. Bad day whatever I call back next day to ask for a manager instead I get refusal to speak to a manager and speak to Eddie once again. Just as good as their original location in Chantilly where they have a well deserved 4 1/2 star rating on Yelp. The burgers are top tier and fries were nice and crispy. They just opened on July 9 and as I am a fan of their Chantilly location, I dropped by this location in my neck of the woods. The dining area is large with both generous indoor and outdoor seating with canopies which is nice in the summer, service was quick and prompt, and food came out hot and delicious. Located in the Goose Creek Village center at the intersection of Sycolin and Belmont Ridge Road, this is one the best place to get your burger fix in a casual environment in Ashburn right now in my opinion. They also have hotdogs, chicken and fish sandwiches, buffalo wings, shakes and malts, a pretty decent vegetarian selection, and a prolific menu of sides besides just fries (tater tots and fried pickles for the win!). I beg you, don't sleep on Burger Shack. You will regret it if you do. read more

So, nice place for a family of four. Service was great, staff was super friendly, place was clean and food was great. Our 4 burgers were cooked perfect. Fries were plentiful! Toppings were good in quantity and flavor. Definitely one of our top 5 burger places and we were out the door under $50. If we are not so full next time we are getting shakes, they looked great. Disappointing. Overpriced. Staff were attentive and place looked clean, otherwise this would be a 1 star. Burgers were tasteless and super greasy. Avocado was not fresh, but instead a prepackaged spread of some sort that was overly salty. Onion rings were okay, but not worth the $3 additional cost. Full disclosure... I live 200 yards away and it is my best interest for this restaurant to succeed. This is my third visit and I am making my way steadily through the menu. First visit was a burger, fries, and drink plus a small order of wings. Ordered burger medium rare, and it came out perfectly medium rare. Shows the griller is experienced and skilled. Fries were really good, made the way I prefer, no batter, flakey inside. Wings exceeded my expectations for someplace that doesn't specialize in wings. Hot Buffalo sauce was hot, but flavorful. Ice tea was obviously fresh brewed and the urn is small enough that I know it won't be one huge batch that sits all day. Second trip was a friend chicken sandwich tossed in that good Buffalo sauce and a vanilla shake. Both were great. Today I'm waiting on a turkey burger with bacon on Texas toast. They have seven options for buns! Staff is friendly and trying really hard in these opening weeks. Don't pass this one by! read more
