I went in to pick up a silk piece for the cemetery that I had ordered previously. It had to be made on a saddle, which is a piece of metal designed to clip on a headstone. The arrangement was made the wrong way, with the flowers facing the clips instead of running parallel to them. They made the same mistake last year, corrected it, and apologized, even admitting their mistake. This year, I sent a picture of how the arrangement should be oriented, but it was still made wrong. The difference is that this year, the arranger remarked that I was the only person she ever had trouble with. When I asked her if she saw the way it needed to be made from the picture I sent. She said yes and no. ???????? I explained what I wanted when I ordered. I told them about last year's mistake and sent a picture. what more can I do?? Placed an order for the second time in a couple months recently for my wife's birthday. Called the day before and no problem. Friendly, helpful service on the phone. Beautiful bouquet was delivered to her work and she loved it (and so did her friends!). Previous order was for our anniversary and again, beautiful large bouquet delivered as requested. They accepted my order online only to call me the day of the funeral at 10am telling me they couldn't make it deliver my arrangement. Change your website then because you accepted my order and I drove in from buffalo for a funeral. I don't have time THE DAY OF to find another florist. Told all my family in butler about it and they agreed the staff has gone way downhill in recent years. read more

I called Bortmas on Monday, 9/27/21 to see when I had to have a order in for a corsage I needed for 10/9/21. I was told to stop in by Saturday 10/2 to order and that Saturday would be the last day to order. I went in on Saturday 10/2 to order and was told that it was too late to order. They said they stopped orders on Monday or Tuesday of this week. I called on Monday. I explained that I was told Saturday 10/2 would be the last day to order. She said that she did not know who there would of said that. I was so upset because I planned ahead and called, and when I got there was told something completely different. Luckily I was able to find a place that was very accommodating and helpful and took my order with no problem. Bortmas will no longer be a florist I choose to do business with. Im read more

I'm not sure how this florist has all these good reviews. My husband ordered me flowers for my birthday from this florist first off they would not deliver to my house so he had to get them delivered to his work and then bring them home. What kind of a florist doesn't deliver to someone's house that should have been the red flag. Then they cost $80. Way too much and not worth $80 at all maybe worth 20 bucks . I've ordered flowers from Bortmas several times for my family & friends back home in the Butler Area. Everytime I've ordered from them, they've been really great, super friendly and very helpful. They offer billing for phone orders which is very nice for folks like me who order from out of town. They used to be my back-up plan when the Bloomery was in business, but now that the Bloomery is no longer a retail florist, Bortmas is the place. read more

Every basket we give him is exceptional and tasteful. He makes me and my family look good every time. Bortmas is by and far the greatest florist in Butler! Their shop is super cute offering both fresh and silk flowers plus a cute selection of seasonal gifts. They are reasonably priced and help make your ideas come to life. I've used them for induction ceremonies for our local community college honor society, administrative professionals day, graduations and a bridal shower. After my family and I being customers of Bortmas for decades I will no longer patronize this business. I spoke to the owner regarding what I viewed as a significant error. He didn't reflect concern and didn't understand my expression of mine. Next time my family and I will be ordering from "All About Reclaimed". I love Bortmas. I stopped by a couple weeks ago and the store is full of Springtime. Their designers are top notch. They have a nice sense of style and design. They are also up with the trends and what's hot. Nothing stuffy here. They have great gift ideas and I've picked up some nice last minute gifts here. Get a couple fresh cut flowers. I picked up some stems for $10.00 and they filled my home with beauty for more than a week. It's a really great store. read more

Throughout the past, I have given This shop several orders from my home in Florida and have been Satisfied, that stopped on Tuesday the 17th of December, I called as usual, the Woman I usually talk to was not in and after Repeatedly Asking I was told she would be in the following Friday, The Lady then asked if she could help, I told her I wanted flowers to be Delivered to St. Paul's Mausoleum in which they have Delivered there many times, She started asking me Questions about the Delivery, I told her that she should have ALL THE INFO inc my Charge card info in my Customer File, She became very Agitated and Dismissive, I told her that I would call back on Friday and Hopefully talk to my regular contact. SORRY TO SAY, I was told they were Not Taking Anymore orders for Christmas, I did mention to her that I called the past Tuesday!! She did not offer to find or help me find another Florist to fill my order. Thankfully, I did find another Florist who CHEERFULLY And Gladly filled my Order.
