This place is fabulous! The office/souvenir shop has beautiful custom-made T-shirts, mugs, magnets and the sort, lining the walls, and center aisles. There is a little display of butterflies emerging from their chrysalis sitting on the office counter--It's fascinating to watch! After watching a short video, you are able to go outside to the Haven. As you walk down a paved path, the tiniest little button quails eagerly come to you in hopes that you purchased treat cups for them (which are available in the office/ gift shop for a small fee). Once you drop a few nuggets on the ground, then bend down with some in your hand the quail are not shy to come and eat from your hand. It was great! Butterflies flit all around you like a mystical wonderland. Colorful flowers jut out of plants everywhere. We saw fascinating butterflies, hungry adventurous caterpillars, and a collection of various birds. While the whole trail was quite small, every single inch of it is fascinating! The best part was our tiny tour guides. The owner's grandchildren, a very knowledgeable 6 year old boy, and his darling and curious little sister, along with their mom, guide you through the magic of butterflies!
