I get all my picture framing done downstairs in The Gallery (which has a different feel to the upstairs) as Chris gives discount to artists. He is one of the best in the business and has a real flair for presenting your picture in the most eye-catching way and is not afraid to advise you on what will look best which I find really helpful. While I was there he was framing a football shirt and claims he can frame anything! There is some fantastic original art and prints down there too and frequent new exhibitions. It is worth a look even if you do not need any pictures framing and Saltaire has a good vibe, it is worth a visit anytime.

The Otley Courthouse is a fantastic arts resource centre. It was set up for the community as a…read morelocal centre where people can come and see theatre, live music events, cabaret, dance and more. There are also workshops that people can join in with, regular craft fairs and even a free computer room with internet access for adults. The last time I visited the Courthouse was to see a live music event, and it was packed! It was so full that people were spilling into the aisles to watch the show. That is testament to both the quality and popularity of their events. This fine organisation is yet another demonstration of the individuality and creativity that is within the heart of the Leeds community. No matter where you go, or how far from the centre you are, there are pockets of interest and art within these outer spots, and this one in particular is a winner.

Drinks are cheap compared to pubs, so this is a good plus! I think its reasonably priced to hire out too so overall a good place. They tend to put on family events on bank holidays which is good.
