Wonderful and friendly staff. Open even at stupid o'clock, and somehow, always seems to be a couple of pence cheaper per litre than other local stations. read more

Bp, or British Petroleum is on Ansty road opposite the co-op and the wyken Pippin pub, now known as…read morethe coventry something or other. This Bp has a hand car wash which recently replaced the automatic car wash. I ahevnt been to it so i dont know how good their service is. The petrol station itself has i think 6 pumps, so 12 spaces in all, if and when they all work. A common problem in petrol stations. The actual prices well, as always and in line with all other petrol stations, goes up and down from the brilliant to the ridiculous, so impossible to comment on. But they are usually slightly dearer than the likes of tescos and the supermarkets. The shop itself is quite big and you can get quite a lot from it. Although more petrol stations are linking up with M&S, such as the Bp on the A45, which has a huge food shopping area. So this is a good friendly station to go to for petrol or even try the hand car wash. Good location. Not the easiest to get in or out though.

They are all usually the same price, but I do always look to the Shell and Sainsbury's ones as the BP one can sometimes be a penny more a litre. The Shell one is a bit smaller than the Salisbury's one and I usually avoid it when it is busy and go to Salisbury's as it is just that bit bigger so you are out quicker. Always worth looking at the price of those 2, if not all 3 before you fill up!

They offer a Burger King, Costa Coffee and WH Smiths on both sides, with the pleasing addition of an M&S and a (slightly less pleasing) Travelodge on the southbound services. Alas, there is no bridge to connect the north and south services. If you are travelling north and fancy a humus and carrot dipper for the road you are, quite frankly, screwed. Thankfully, there are petrol facilities on both sides They aren't exactly pretty, but who really cares about such fripperies when it comes to motorway services?
What can I say about a petrol station!? Well, a bit I think! This is situated on Constitution Hill…read morenear the JQ. It's in fact, the closet one to my flat and I can see it from there as well. If your coming down Constitution towards town, its on your right and you have to do a bit of a U-turn to get into it. There's four pumps and it gets really busy at rush hour through the traffic. I've only filled up here a few times, mostly when its an emergency. This is because one time they made me pay before I filled up, which I hated. I know it's perfectly within their right to do this, but there no sign telling me and I was just shouted at over the tannoy. There's a very little shop inside selling the essentials, though I'd avoid that if I were you. I brought milk here once and it was off even though it said it was within date. A car wash had also just opened here as well. I don't know exactly how it works as the fore-core is slightly small and it narrows at one end. It's quite cheap though, it says that currently (June 2015) it's £2.50 for a wash, which is not too bad at all.

When I phoned them asking about what's the condition of my car and whether it'll pass the MOT test they told me they would have to replace a few car parts which they said would cost me and X amount of £. When I went over there to pick up my car after the parts had been replaced they had increased the asking price for the replaced car parts and they did not provide me with a receipt as to how much each part as well as the labour charges are worth. I confronted them about this which is why they changed the total price for the replaced car parts 2 more times which gave me the perception that they were making the price charges as they went along. I suppose they didn't have a fixed price list. Absolute waste of time and they've got no consideration for the customer.

They offer tyres at really good prices, and there is a separate battery business as well, located at the same site on the Lichfield Road. The interior of the building is old, but that doesn't matter much when you're getting a tyre fitted. What you will appreciate is the old-fashioned courtesy and excellent service. Your car will be in and out in no time, and that annoying task of having to get a new tyre/tyres can be ticked off your to-do list without too much anguish, and without having to shell out too much cash.
