I finally made it out to the Cake Drip!! I have to say I was missing out!! From the moment I stepped in I knew I was gonna have a great time. The vibe took over. We were greeted by Ayla. She was so gracious and explained how the tasting would go and brought us champagne. Once the bubbles started flowing we got to choose what we would put in our chocolate bars. I put potato chips, toffee bits, and m&m's. Our bars were taken to harden. We got cheesecake and chocolate spoons to sample. They were each divine. Finally we got a dessert box filled with cake, marshmallows, dipping chocolate and sprinkles. Again everything was delicious!! We took a few pictures while we waited for our bars. There are definitely lots of photo opportunities. We also got to meet the owner Faronda who was so sweet and ensured we were having a good time. Ayla brought us our bars and they were wrapped in grinch paper. My bar was soo good!!!! The service, the experience, and the desserts were impeccable. I absolutely cannot wait to go back. As a matter of fact I already booked a girls day for February. You got to go!!!

This is a very unique and enjoyable way to hang out and spend an evening. My friends and I decided to go with the chocolate flights which was $45pp or $65 per couple. This included champagne throughout the event your choice of chocolate three toppings for your chocolate bar(s) and a unique dessert box which included marshmallows, fresh fruit, cake bites. Making our own chocolate bars was perfection. You can choose between milk chocolate, dark chocolate, or white chocolate. I had 3 add ins which I choose sea salt, walnuts, and almonds. This small business owner has a great eye for service and is sure to fit anyone's sweet tooth! We made reservations in advance for our group and happen to have the whole place to ourselves, plenty of photo ops and laughs with friends. A special thank you to Ms. Faronda, she and her family were a pleasure and my friends and I enjoyed this unique twist on the popular DIY workshops. Me and my friends truly had a blast! Looking forward to a cake decorating event!

I just wanted a chocolate bar so I used the kiosk outside the location. It was quick and easy to use. They have a lot of options for toppings and you choose your top 3. I choose caramel, toffee, and cake pieces. I wish they put more description for the cake to let me know that it was pink cake. I assumed it was going to be vanilla cake so I would have made a different topping decision if I knew it was pink cake. However, the chocolate bar still came out great. It is huge and made with quality chocolate. They tell you it takes about 30 minutes and my bar was ready in exactly that time. I will definitely go back to try out the full experience soon.

What a great place to go with your daughter, mother, sister, girlfriends, or anyone who enjoys cakes & desserts. The place is decorated so beautiful! Very Instagramable. I took my mother & friend we did the chocolate flight. Unlimited champagne & tons of yummy desserts to try. They also offer cake decorating workshop.

I always like to be as inclusive as possible especially when I write reviews because I want people to understand my point of view as well as understanding that the review can only go so far and one has to take the leap of faith and make the experience their own. I read other reviews dedicated to The Cake Drip and I am here to debunk them entirely. Many wish to say that this place is a ¨gimmick¨and in this case it is, but in a positive manner. The Cake Drip isńt an establishment that´s trying to sell you their hopes and dreams and scam you rather provide you with a beautiful experience in the form of chocolate. If I can compare it directly to something I would say that The Cake Drip is similar to the Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory and I don't say that lightly. The Cake Drip is absolutely fantastic and it made my happiness level sky rocket. As you can see by my photos, if you love photography just like I do this is a perfect place for you to visit. If you love chocolate and a light-hearted ambiance this is also the place for you! I cam here to celebrate life with my parents because I will be going to college soon and the owners made our experience unforgettable. The owners are extremely inviting and caring and their daughter is professional and always on top of her game. If you want to go on a date with your lover, some friends or maybe want to go on a fun chocolate adventure with yourself, this is the place to go! Also, I want to add that the restrooms are top notch and full of feminine products, which is very helpful. This establishment is also only 21+ so make sure you keep this into consideration. Enjoy! I first saw a video of the Cake Drip on Tiktok and knew I had to come here. Had so much fun! Didn't expect it would be this fun. My friends and I had a blast too. At the time of creating the reservation I was told it would be an hour experience roughly. We ended up staying for about 2.5 hours. We just enjoyed each other's company and socialized while completing our flight. We all did the chocolate flight tasting. I created a white chocolate bar with sea salt, caramels, and sour patches. So tasty even to experience the other ladies DIY chocolate bars. I will definitely be back in the near future. The business is family oriented. Boy are they super sweet too! Enjoyed them being around for fun conversation, pictures, and serving us. Cake Drip is the new way to enjoy desserts after work. If you're seeking Instagram places, this is it in Hyde Park.

We had a great experience here for a friends birthday. There was 10 of us and the staff was more than accommodating for us. It's a perfect backdrop for cute pictures and they gave us a light to make sure we had the best shots. We got cute glasses of champagne as we sat down. They have a non alcoholic option too. Bless the guy who had to take care of us because we drove him crazy asking questions and taking forever to choose our bars. He made it fun for us. For the experience, we started off making our own chocolate bar. Put the toppings on and they took it in the back to set it. While it set we had a round of cheesecake with chocolate spoons then a big box of cake with toppings to decorate. Each time we got glasses of champagne. We took cute pics laughed and danced. Make sure you make reservations especially if you have a big group!

Went to Cake Drip for a friend's birthday. We did the chocolate bar experience and had a fantastic time. Cake drip is a great place for a first time date, a girls night out, an anniversary or just something fun to do. The owner and her staff were great. They explained everything as we went. I would certainly do it again! I 1000% recommended you check it out!

The best way to end date night is with dessert of course. This hidden gem in the south Howard area was perfect. This place was nothing but good vibes all around. I think it may be tailored more towards a girls night out but nonetheless it's still enjoyable with a significant other. Make sure you go hungry because they give you plenty of desserts . This was a great experience and definitely something very unique that you won't find in too many places. I was able to try the make your own candy bar and it was a really cool experience. The desserts were great and the service was on point. I will definitely have to come back to fulfill my sweet tooth cravings. I fully support any black owned business.

such a cute date night spot! Made a resy and took my bf for our anni, and he loved it! First, our servers were the sweetest and so attentive! They give you complimentary champagne, I had around 4-5 glasses (not stingy about it). We both created our own chocolate bars. While waiting for the chocolate to set, we had cheesecake that came with chocolate spoons, as well as pound cake, strawberries, and chocolate dip with pink sprinkles. The place is obviously stunning, and the playlist is phenomenal. So many throwbacks that I appreciated. The vibe was giving what it needed to give. My chocolate bar came out tasty! My only suggestion is to have an alternative for cheesecake for those who are lactose (me) lol. Thankfully they had dark chocolate as an option for the chocolate bars, which didn't irritate my stomach. Overall, such a fun and creative experience to do with the girls or a partner!

It's very unique that is for sure. I'm all for gimmick places but if I wasn't drunk when I saw the portion sizes come out I would have said something. Looking back at it, it is a gimmick place so you should check it out so you have IG content for like months... Lots of places to take pictures. The DJ was fun and everyone was dancing like we were at a club.

The decor here to TO DIE FOR!!! So cute!!! Very thought out for the gram!! The service was very good!! Food was average, not bad but nothing to rave about. Wish they would have had the chocolate experience every day so we could do that!

The Cake Drip is a wonderful addition to Hyde Park Village. The shop is whimsically decorated with fun, upbeat music. We made a reservation for a chocolate flight for two. We split the flight ($65 in total). The flight includes: 2 customizable chocolate bars to take home, ,champagne, a "sushi" chocolate board, and a "fondue" tasting. The owner, Veronica, is absolutely amazing. She and her daughter were extremely friendly and tended to our every need. We started off with a glass of champagne each and customized our chocolate bars. We selected the chocolate type as well as our three toppings, which were all brought to us so that we could create the chocolate bar ourself. There was quite the variety of topping options, ranging from fruit to bacon bits and potato chips. We then had the "sushi" chocolate tasting, comprising of 3 types of cheesecake, 3 chocolate spoons (milk, white and dark chocolate) as well as some fresh strawberries. The chocolate was delicious and we enjoyed the presentation. The last "course" was the fondue course. Since my date has celiacs, they modified the board to include macaroons rather than cake. We were also given strawberries, sprinkles, homemade marshmallows and of course chocolate. Overall, this was a great experience in a prime location. I was particularly fond of the music (R&B / modern rap). Veronica informed me that they also have live music on Friday nights starting at 7 pm. We will be returning!

My husband and I had the most incredible date night at the Epicurean Theatre! We attended the…read more"Dinner with a Master Chef" class on Friday, July 18th 2014. Our instructor was celebrity chef, Whitney Miller, winner of Master Chef (season 1). The Epicurean Theatre is a gorgeous and very modern culinary classroom in the Epicurean Hotel in South Tampa. The culinary classroom has a kitchen in the front of the theatre for the instructor/ chef and stadium-style seating for the students. (If you want a seat near the front of the class arrive early!) Flat screen televisions are located in the front corners of the classroom to display close-ups of the food as it is being prepared. The layout of the classroom allows participants to eat and drink while watching a cooking presentation. After the chef completes each course of the meal the Epicurean's wait staff serves the dish. Whitney Miller was so charming and entertaining throughout our class. I loved her stories about growing up in Mississippi and being a contestant on the Master Chef. Her menu in our class included some of her favorite Southern dishes: First Course: Arugula Salad with Grilled Figs, Homemade Buttermilk Ricotta Cheese, Crispy Prosciutto and a Citrus Vinaigrette (Wine Pairing: Schiopetto Pinot Grigio) Second Course: BBQ Shrimp and Cheese Grits (Wine Pairing: Black Bird Rose) Third Course: White Chocolate Bread Pudding (Wine Pairing: Rosa Regale) Everything was so delicious and I cannot wait to make these dishes at my home! Confession: I probably won't make my own ricotta cheese for the arugula salad because who has time for that?! We received so many great cooking tips from the class and I plan on purchasing Whitney's cookbook so I can introduce my husband to more Southern cooking. If you are interested in taking a class at the Epicurean Theatre I highly recommend it! They offer a variety of classes from cupcakes to cooking to wine or even speaking a foreign language. They even offer brew bus tours! The classes range from $45-$125. Our Master Chef class cost $65 per person which wasn't a bad deal in my opinion considering we received a two hour demonstration from a celebrity chef, a three course meal, and three wine tastings. Can't wait to take my next class at the Epicurean Theatre!

I went to a great event here called Cupcakes and Cocktails held by Chef Beth Lukens, who owns and…read moreoperates the local company Cloud 9 Confections. Everything about this event was fun. Just like you see on cooking shows, Beth stood in front of the 3-tiered seating area, with a camera on her, and a camera overhead showing inside the pot she was cooking in. Beth is an experienced baker, and I loved that in addition to demonstrating how to make the Bourbon Chocolate Pecan cupcake, she also gave us helpful tips for substitutions and shortcuts. In addition to cupcakes, the event included 3 cocktails, specially designed to compliment the cupcakes we would be taking home. Pumpkin Prosecco - made of champagne and pureed pumpkin, Hard Apple Cider - made with gin, cider, and fresh crushed grapes, and a Bourbon Cocktail - but after the first two drinks, I have no recollection of what went into this last one. It was great, though! :-) Roger, the bartender from the hotel restaurant Élevage, came in each time to explain his concoction, which was really a nice personal touch. After Beth demonstrated how to make the first cupcake, all the participants went down to group stations where we got to frost our own cupcakes. She had all the different cupcakes lined up for us, as well as the different bags of frosting. First we did our own Bourbon Chocolate Pecan cupcake - by scooping out the inside to fill it with pecan filling, then frosting it with a thick bourbon chocolate buttercream, and sprinkling roasted pecans on top. Next was the Hard Apple Cider cupcakes with cinnamon buttercream. And finally we did the Pumpkin Spice cupcake, with a sweet cream cheese frosting. I have to admit, there was a LOT of taste-testing the frosting, even after the cupcakes were all frosted. Beth even provided plastic cupcake containers, so our 6 masterpieces (2 of each flavor) could travel in safety and comfort. I would definitely do another event here - it was very well organized, and in addition to the promised take home cupcakes, we were also provided with recipes on how to make the different cupcakes and frosting. The only thing that wasn't cool, and wasn't mentioned ahead of time, is that you had to pay $5 for valet, which also meant tipping too. I think the Epicurean Hotel needs to include this in the cost of the class, or let people self-park in the spots they have available for the wine store or bakery. Other than the parking, an A+ event from start to finish. Support local small businesses and go check out Beth's webpage, too - yum!

The hostess acknowledged us, but there was still a noticeable delay before we were shown to our table. The service was also quite slow throughout our visit. It took a while to get our check despite the restaurant not being busy. That said, the staff was very kind and courteous. The menu is quite extensive with lots of options to choose from. We ordered the kinmedai sashimi, which tasted good, but the portion size and quality didn't quite justify the price. The spicy karaage with vegetable fried rice was flavorful, though it leaned more toward Korean fried chicken than what we expected. My partner had the bento box with grilled salmon (an additional $3), and while it was enjoyable, the portion and quality didn't really make the extra cost feel worthwhile. The highlight of the meal was definitely the soufflé pancakes which were light, fluffy, and paired perfectly with the matcha cream. Overall, the experience was decent, but not compelling enough for us to return.

We entered and checked in at the host of stand and regretted promptly and sat right away for our reservation at 5:30. Our server Nicole was extremely pleasant and gave us absolutely fantastic recommendations. They have happy hour on food and drinks until 6 PM which we were unaware of as well before we made the reservation. It was a very pleasant surprise. The happy hour is not only on drinks but full sized menu items that include appetizers and entrees as well as drinks. We took advantage of the situation in order our cocktails before 6 o'clock. I opted to start with the lemon cello apeol spritz and ended with the pistachio espresso martini. That may have been one of the best espresso martinis I've ever tasted it in my life and I've been to Italy to drink them! When I say do not pass up on the trio of dip for the focaccia bread- OMG-this sounds like such a simple appetizer, but it is done with precision and elegance, and the dips are absolutely amazing. We did take most of the bread home and put it in the air fryer the next day it holds up to a restaurant quality standard. We also ordered the chicken Parmesan and the meatball sliders. I will say the chicken Parmesan sliders for exceeded the meatball sliders. The meatballs needed a tad bit more seasoning for my liking. Because her eyes are bigger than our stomachs, we ordered three entrées between the two of us . The carpe de Pepe pasta, the margarita pizza, and the Sweet Jamie Kay pizza. When ordering pizza you have two options to get fluffy area dough or a thin crisp dough we chose both pizzas to be fluffy and airy type. The pasta was served al denti which is not my favorite, but nothing was wrong with the dish. The sweet Jamie Kay pizza was absolutely mouthwatering. The slight drizzle of honey paired with a type of meat on top of the pizza makes me want it every day. We had plenty leftovers to eat lunch the next day . Taylor was stellar in her service and the ambience of the restaurant was very authentic.
