We train all sizes, ages, breeds and mixed breeds. From 12 weeks of age to 12+ years of age, we can help you and your dog have a better relationship!

History

Established in 2013.

After professionally training dogs for a dog training company for 1.5 years, the owner, Jan Floyd opened The Calm Canine LLC in her home offering private lessons to her clients in her home or at the client's home. Small group classes were added as demand for this service grew. Next came residency services where Jan incorporates the client's dog into her own home and dog pack, fully immersing the dog in training with one-on-one lessons and exposure to home life and routines. In 2015 Jan moved to her current location in Oxford, NC where she continues to help families have the dog of their dreams!

Meet the Business Owner: Jan F.

Jan is a lifelong animal advocate who became a dog trainer after retiring from her professional career as an educator and administrator. Working with dogs has been a joy in her life and it allows her to give back to her community with her Therapy Dogs and volunteering at the local shelter. She has also fostered dogs for animal rescue groups and simply loves to talk "dog" to anyone who wants to listen!
