This memorial was unveiled in 1924, to commemorate the Cameronians in the First World War, before then being updated after The Second World War to incorporate those lost then too.
This B-listed bronze memorial shows an advancing soldier, machine gunner and their fallen compatriot. It was made by sculptor Lindsey Clark who was an army captain awarded a DSO for bravery. Hence, one could guess that this memorial was one close to the heart.
