This place is too cute and decorated for the season. We loved the pink Christmas vibes. Was a great little lunch pop in. We sat at the bar for a few minutes before our table was ready. The bartenders were very nice and attentive. Honestly could have probably just sat there for our lunch. Once we got to our table we asked some questions for suggestions on what to try and our server obliged. The fondue was really good and filling. The fish sandwich was perfectly crispy, but could have used more fish/a larger piece of fish as I did feel like the fish to cabbage ratio was off. The fries were good, but nothing special. The sushi was fresh and spicy, but with two other sushi places in walking distance I'd probably not go here just for that when there are other tasty looking menu items. Overall we will definitely be back to try some other menu items and some drinks another day.

The mocktails were so good! Loved the Christmas vibe they created in this cozy space. The service was a little awkward and didn't check in on us a lot so we had to keep asking someone to find our waiter the food was 10/10 and we tried ostrich for the first time

I've had friends who have been here multiple times, so I finally decided today was the day I was going to try it. They have indoor, outdoor, and rooftop seating, but they have a 20% gratuity for the rooftop. Either options are such a vibe. We sat outside, got greeted in timely manner, and our server was great! We went ahead and ordered the apple cider tiki drink, the lemon caper chicken piccata, kale and grain salad bowl, and a side of fries. Our total with the tip came up to around $86. The portions were slightly smaller than expected, but the flavor was there! The apple cider drink was good too, and the fries were seasoned so well (I'm a huge fan of fries). Overall, I would come back, but would love to try something else, especially the frozen espresso martini.

Came here for valentines and got their prefixed course that they offered for that day. Service was good. She refill our water a lot every-time it was almost gone. I would say the main course was probably the best out of the appetizer and dessert they had. The drinks were okay as well. Im not sure if I need to try this place out on a regular day but I say the food we ate this day was alright at most. Ambiance wise I can see the beach bar vibe but not really.. and looks like this place is still in a Christmas spirit.

I recommend Cape for almost any occasion--whether it's a date night, business dinner, or a meal with family. The restaurant offers great kids' meal options, and the service is exceptional--friendly, patient, and attentive. The space is currently decorated for the holidays, and there are cozy igloos outside for dining in the colder weather. The Popcorn and Tuna Tartare were standout appetizers. The Kale & Quinoa Salad with Asian flavors was excellent, and you can add salmon, shrimp, chicken, or tuna to make it a heartier dish. The Lemon Artichoke Arugula Salad was bright and refreshing. The crepes are a real highlight--perfect as an appetizer or to pair with a main dish or salad. The Curry Cauliflower was another favorite and definitely worth trying." This version tightens up the language and adds a bit more flow for readability.

Cape at the Avalon is back with their festive Christmas pop-up, and we had the pleasure of visiting on opening night! From stunning holiday décor and themed cocktails to a multi-cuisine menu and beautifully lit igloos (my personal favorite!), this spot is the ultimate destination in Avalon for a girls' night out or a cozy date night. Here's what we tried: * The Mistletoe Margarita * The Chalet Cowboy * Chicken Piccata * Veggie Sushi * Crab Dip with Pita Chips We got lovely service in our igloos If you love all things Christmas and want to get into the festive spirit, don't miss Cape at the Avalon!

We sat at the bar Friday night. 1/31/25 & enjoyed drinks and appetizers, s'mores toasted marshmallow old fashioned for me and a Long Island for my husband. The drinks were right. We ordered the hummus and veggies and the crab dip, which were great. I'd return & have them again. The service was great at the bar as we beat the dinner rush. The bartenders were attentive and friendly. The ambience was casual and welcoming: I'd definitely return.

Best tuna tartare I've ever had. I also love that they have healthy kids meals with grilled chicken and fruit. They are very slow, but really friendly and I love the place so I won't take a star for that. Also recommend the frozen espresso martini

Service is terrible here. My server Robbie forgot to put in my starter for my table. We let it go. Server then came back and told us our entire order was cancelled by accident. We had to replace the dish.

Located in Avalon you'll find this very charming restaurant in the middle of the shops at Avalon. It's located on the side near The Hotel, Apple Store and Rumis Kitchen. Service is as expected - it's good. Menu Selection is nice although they do not offer a lunch menu. It is good however pricy for lunch. Lunch for two was $80 - no beverage - no starter - no appetizer- no dessert. Just two lunches. No leftovers! Bang for buck is better at Rumis Kitchen but it's still a cute spot. They have a rooftop which was not opened. It's a cute date spot or girlfriend lunch place. We noticed some older men with younger women. Caesar Salad with Grilled Salmon: Very good. The house made dressing is delicious. Halibut with Broccolini & Coconut Rice : Very good with a mild red curry sauce.

While in Alpharetta recently, I stumbled across this little gem located in the Avalon and absolutely had to share the experience. The Cape is a chic coastal dining restaurant inspired by cuisine & wines from Cape Town, South Africa. They are open seven days a week, offering indoor and outdoor dining options. The rooftop patio features views of the entire boulevard and inside The Cape's main dining room is surrounded by colorful textured pillows, custom surf boards, and hanging botanicals that span across the ceiling; all designed to transport guests to a chic beach bungalow. Service was excellent and the food was superb. I'd recommend booking a reservation in advance and adding a bookmark for this restaurant. It's a unique experience not worth missing out on. I look forward to my next trip to GA just so I can go back and sample more of their menu offerings.

Being in the Avalon, the area is super cute and surrounded by all kinds of shopping. The vibe is really cool and they had music playing on the rooftop, which was really fun. It is small but quaint. The server kind of made it feel like we needed to be in a rush to decide what we were going to order consistently coming back every couple of minutes which is fine except we were catching up with friends. We hadn't seen in a long time and so we were a bit slower to look at the menu. I ordered a wine, but they were all out of it. They offered me a different wine, which was OK. My friends both ordered the halibut and I ordered a shareable filet mignon over rice option. It was good. The fillet was a bit crispy in places, and I had to scrape that off. My friend said the halibut was amazing. The menu is very different and I had to thankfully utilize yelp for pictures to figure out what things were. It is my friends go to place, but I don't know if I would rate it as great.

I forgot the name of the cocktails we had but they were pretty good (Valentine's Day special cocktails not on the regular menu maybe). Food was not bad. Ostrich sliders were a bit salty. Unsure if the price was worth it. Our waiter was really really nice. We sat in the cute bubbles setup outside. Just be lucky enough that you do not have to share a bubble with a table full of drunk girls screaming everything they have to say at each other though.

We had Chicken Piccata and Shrimp Tempura Sushi on the upstairs deck. It was great weather and food was very good.

It was nice out so we asked to be seated outside. They have outside seating on the roof and also out front. We were seated out front. It was a wonderful experience. Although it's a wine bar we just had water. But noted the wine flights for a future visit. They have 6 oz pours, which is nice. The flights are interesting though. They have three wines in a flight where you receive a 2 oz pour of each wine in the flight. They tell you that they cannot mix and match wines from different flights, so you have to receive the wines that are in each flight, which is fine with me. We started with the goat cheese beignets with the honey sauce. They have a decent helping of goat cheese inside of each beignet. My wife says that it was almost too much. And I joked that there's never too much goat cheese. Lol. My wife had the chicken kabob which was very elevated. It didn't come on the skewers which was nice and it had a really flavorful sauce and roasted veggies. I had an arugula salmon salad with a citrus vinaigrette which was perfect since I didn't want anything heavy. Perfect for a date night after a concert where we enjoyed the music, met friends, and enjoyed our entire evening. My wife said that it feels like we're on vacation, and it did! We highly recommend CRU.

Maybe we were just extra hungry, but everything seemed to taste better than on my previous visits. Between the two locations, I definitely prefer this one. The décor feels more festive, and the atmosphere is lively. They have live music starting early in the evening and continuing until around 2 AM on weekends, making it a great place to celebrate, socialize, or enjoy a fun night out. Just know that it gets very loud, so if you're looking for a quiet, intimate dinner, this probably isn't the place. We've celebrated three or four birthdays here over the years, but this time we hosted a much larger party of about 50 people. Since it was such a big group, we had to reserve a preset menu with a deposit. It included unlimited food and drinks, and we were able to choose from several entrées while ordering as much as we wanted throughout the evening. The biggest downside was the wait. After being seated, it took about 45 minutes to an hour before the first dishes arrived. By then, a lot of us were definitely getting hangry. Thankfully, once the food started coming out, it kept flowing, and with the drinks constantly coming, everyone filled up pretty quickly. As for the food, this visit was definitely an improvement. The ceviche was fresh and flavorful, only needing a tiny pinch more of salt. The Brussels sprouts were excellent, and the calamari paired perfectly with the pico de gallo dipping sauce. The steak, however, was a little overcooked and chewy for my liking. The paella was just okay; the rice was cooked well, but the seasoning didn't quite hit the mark, and the mussels were unfortunately overcooked and dry. One thing to keep in mind is that there aren't any private event rooms. Everything takes place in the main dining area, so your party shares the space with everyone else while enjoying the live music. There's also a large outdoor patio, and sometimes they open the garage doors to blend the indoor and outdoor atmosphere, which is really nice. They didn't do that during our visit, though. Despite the lack of dedicated dancing space, we still had an amazing time. The restaurant was lively enough that our energetic group blended right in; we even got a train going through the restaurant! Overall, it was a fun celebration with great energy, good food, and an entertaining atmosphere. I'm really hoping the new Medley development near my house brings in a restaurant with this same kind of vibe. I'd definitely be a regular.

We ordered the deviled eggs appetizer, my husband ordered the crab cakes, and I ordered the lettuce wraps app as my main. The crab cakes were really good (I had a bite or two), and the buns were unexpected but delicious! The lettuce wraps were also very good, but honestly not what I thought a lettuce wrap would be. I've seen other pictures of them that were much more traditional finger food for brunch, so not sure if they changed them entirely or if this is just dinner version. Tasty, but obviously not for picking up... it would be tricky to wrap them up in that tiny piece of lettuce and I did not want to get dripped on with the sauce. So, if knife and fork lettuce wraps were a thing - this would be it! I think the bib lettuce makes it hard as it's so frail and flimsy, so if I had any suggestions, maybe it would be to try wrapping them from a head of lettuce for a bigger, more firm piece of lettuce. Dessert was a strawberry shortcake. Nice finish to a richly flavored dinner. My husband asked for an espresso and it came in a huge mug. Not sure if this is standard, or if they ran out of demitasse cups. Service was more attentive on front end, but less as they got busy and our server got more tables. I asked another server for water refill and then a manager brought us a dessert menu since our server disappeared. He showed up with the check and we had to tell him we wanted dessert. We made reservation through open table and got seated immediately. When we left, the little lobby area was packed so we definitely went at the right time. I think the servers were getting a little overwhelmed (and I cannot blame them). Still a great view and worth the hassle of finding parking in downtown Alpharetta.

It was warm outside and warm = rooftop bar. It was the start of a great night. Let's get into it! Location and Parking They are located in downtown Alpharetta on South Main Street. The restaurant sits on the fifth floor of an office building. There is no parking directly by the building, however there is free street parking as well as a deck that is free and is a few minutes walk. If you can, I would recommend taking the walk so you're able to see all of the other shops and restaurants and enjoy the live music that's sure to be playing. Venue and Atmosphere When you walk in you're automatically greeted by the hostess. If you are going on a weekend I absolutely would recommend having a reservation, especially if you want to sit outside. We did not, so it was essentially every woman for themselves. In addition to the tables, there were some couches that were first come first served. We lucked up and a woman was leaving and gave us her table. Food and drinks Since this was our first stop we didn't want to fill up too much. We ordered the charcuterie board, which served as a good snack. I ordered their old fashioned made with Knob Creek, my wife had a cider, and our friend has one of their IPA's. Service Service was decent, considering there was a lot going on. With my friend's IPA they were changing the keg and it actually took a while for that to happen, but our server gave my friend another drink at no charge to make up for that fact, which was a nice touch. Verdict I'm not in Alpharetta much, but the next time I am, I'll definitely stop through for a drink and the view. If you're in the area stop on in! Until next time!
