These people lied to me to make a sale PERIOD!!!
I…read morepurchased a truck from this dealership 3 years ago. It was a 2014 Ram 1500 with 26k miles. The price was a little high and we haggled a for a while with the salesman AND sales manager about price and details.
Finally we settled on a price with the deal being, I get it for this price, IF I buy gap and extended warranty.
Over the course of HOURS we ask the salesman AND sales manager about the warranties. It was Certified preowned so it came with a (what we were told) 7yr 100,000 mile FROM THE ODOMETER warranty, then we purchased a 100,000 mile extended warranty for $3,200. Our main question that was akin of BOTH SALESMAN AND MANAGER was, "is it up to 100k, or up to 100k". And EVERY TIME we got the same answer, "IT IS 100K FROM THE CURRENT ODOMETER". Well the truck is now at 120k and has a roller bearing, valve or something seizing up. I took the truck into a local dealer and then contacted Bayird when the dealer told me the truck was no longer under warranty. After about 10 minutes on the phone with Bayird I said, "so my salesman and the manager straight up lied to me to make a deal" and the woman said, "well we cant say they lied".
So now I am out possibly a few thousand dollars for the repairs, but this is not the first time the Kennett Mo Bayird has disappointed, took the truck to them due to a vibration shortly after we purchased it, I informed the technician that I put a new set of tires on it to see if that was the problem. After "diagnosing it" I recieved the news I had bad tires. To which I replied, "No, I had the tires replaced BECAUSE I wanted to make sure that wasnt the problem". And the replied with, "well your tires are bad, that's $160(I think was the price) diagnostic fee. Took the truck to the Bayird in Paragould and the service tech got in, pulled 20foot forward, backed up got out and said, "your front hubs are bad", he was right, fixed it and went on. Paragould Bayird service Dept was amazing.
Was told the extended warranty covered EVERYTHING that wasnt a wear and tear part(brake pads, spark plugs, etc). When the seal went bad in the driver's side headlight I was informed that it wasnt covered, even though A SEAL is not a normal wear and tear part, they still would not fix it.
So my suggestion, the Kennett dealership will SAY ANYTHING to get a sale, whether it is true or not, so if you are going to do business with them, proceed with caution and make sure you check and double check EVERYTHING agreed upon. Because after the sale, your just a commission...
