We personally have gay friends but we believe their behavior is a sin. I am a sinner and I believe we should love the sinner and hate the sin. The current law allows gay couples to marry. I think gay couples should respect the beliefs of others just as they want to be respected. " Clearly, they don't want to come right out and say we are not welcome, but they made it clear. Nowhere in my initial email was I disrespectful to them, so I'm not sure whey they felt the need to point out that we needed to respect their beliefs. A simple, "We can not accommodate your request at this time," would have been fine. We were not asking them to officiate our wedding. We were asking them if they would do their jobs as business owners, take our money, host our event, and keep their personal opinions to themselves. How their religious beliefs impact their business I don't really understand. It is really too bad, because as I mentioned, this venue looks absolutely gorgeous. However after the rude and frankly condescending email back, I will be taking my business elsewhere. I suggest those who support marriage equality do not support this highly unprofessional business.

Lenny makes the process as painless as possible and was willing to either customize our event as much as we wanted or step in and fill in the blanks as needed. All we had to do was pick out the songs we wanted (he offered to help with suggestions as well) and plug them into his website and it was like painting with colors. That is another thing, his website has a really user friendly interface which allows you to pretty much plan every minute of music you play from start to finish for the event. As we did procrastinate with some of our song selections we needed to step in and let Lenny know that based on the songs we had picked to fill in the rest of the evening with other similar songs and he knew exactly what we were looking for. Also, we did have a handful of "must have" songs and Lenny made sure to fit those in throughout the evening. Lenny did a amazing job setting up for the event and his uplighting he brought made the whole wedding all the more beautiful and I was told Haywood Hall has never looked better. All throughout the event Lenny also helped lend a hand with organizing and directing and went WAY above and beyond what I would have expected from any other DJ. It was almost as if we had a second Day of Coordinator and his helpfulness was so greatly appreciated. Last but not least I did want to mention that Lenny pulled off all of our event wearing a Tux of all things! I have been to so many events and about the best dressed DJ I've seen was wearing Khakis and a button up plaid shirt. Lenny made sure to dress for the event and I had no idea how much a sharp dressed DJ can really help pull the setting together. We wished it was a bit more hands on or maybe the stations weren't so long. We got to see sheep, goats, alpacas and llamas. They supposedly have more but we didn't see them. It's a cute little farm with a store on sight but the person working the store said nothing was made there using the products from the farm so I didn't love that and ended up not buying something. He asked me a few questions about the event, the DJ equipment and desired set up and I had an estimate 10 min later. The day of the event, he confirmed again, showed up at the time agreed.
