I used to think the Cav Daily was pretty bad: awful copy editing; bland writing except for a very small margin of life columnists; and brain-dead conservative columnists who couldn't even hold up their own end of the discourse in the op-ed pages (that being said, the ones I tend to agree with more weren't too great either).
Then I saw the newspaper at another elite institution (cough Duke cough) and realized that we're not too shabby. read more
