The room is on the smaller side, but nice. They didn't replenish soap and shampoo. No one should question whether I wash my hair six times a day and hence need to us as many bottles per day lol. We were welcomed by Tony, who also sorted out our car (parked on the street in front of the hotel) The bedrooms are furnished very nicely without the usual chintz you might expect and there are plenty of added extras in all the rooms - toiletries, tissues, biscuits, range of hot drinks - everything you might need. The TVs also have 2 satellite channels and DVD player (DVDs available to borrow from the lounge downstairs. The breakfast was a decent portion and tasted good.

Plenty of towels to spare and the price was right (45 quid for 2 twin beds/one night). Large window that overlooked the seafront/pier. Room included a TV with cable access. Cons: The window did not lock, and there wasn't a windscreen or a latch, so we didn't get to open the window. The beds in the room were spring mattresses, which is a bit out of date and could have been more comfortable. The room did not include any complimentary items like soap, shampoo, or other bar soap; however, a liquid soap dispenser was attached to the wall.

The room was bright and clean and had a somewhat newly refurbished bathroom. Tea facilities were what I would expect, there was a hairdryer at the vanity table, and a couple of chairs with a table to look out over the ocean. The bed was comfortable and the towels in the bathroom were also nice. My only 'complaints' would be that a lot of light came in in the morning, so I was woken up a few times by that, and the shower struggled to get warm. Breakfast in the morning was enjoyable, and check out was simple, with reception staff also being helpful despite the busy time I checked out at. I would like to stay again as it's a great location, not too expensive, and the rooms are clean and quiet.

WE found our room to be excellent recently renovated with excellent décor and fittings a nice clean on suite well stocked welcome tray and a wonderful sea view from the window. Our friends however had a dingy poorly decorated room with views of drain pipes at the rear of the hotel and gaffer tape across broken floor coverings in the bathroom. To make things worse for them they overheard the manager describing their room as the worst in the hotel. The breakfast was all right but the evening dinner was served plated (unusual in a 3 star hotel) and was of minuscule portions with a poor selection of vegetables these small portions were made worse by being served on enormous plates. Nice polite staff and wonderful to sit on the terrace looking out to sea. Located at the east end of the promenade a nice stroll from the pier good job there was a bus stop outside the hotel as it was quite a walk to the shops, the buses went to Hastings and Brighton handy for over 60's who can use bus passes but service stops at 7 pm.

The service was fantastic, the waiter made a real effort to help me choose the best dish - I'm a bit fussy when it comes to fish and he even recommended wine, which was the perfect accompaniment. I was absolutely delighted with my main course which was cooked to perfection and filled with flavours and everyone else really enjoyed their meals. The restaurant itself was cosy and quite vibrant and the sea views made the perfect atmosphere. This type of restaurant is definitely what Eastbourne has been waiting for and I will definitely be back

They will answer your email quickly if you have any questions when booking your reservation, as well as send you a confirmation email a few days before you arrive. We came here for the 2017 AIMS Summer Music course in Eastbourne College and loved the convenience of having the Birley Centre directly across from the hotel and the rest of the classrooms one or two blocks away. The cleaning staff were friendly and helpful, although a little absent minded at times (they forgot to refill our toilet paper a few times during our one week stay). On the main floor, there is an electronic piano that saved my life on a few occasions when the practice rooms in the Birley Centre were locked. Overall, I would definitely return on my next trip to Eastbourne!
