Second trip to this fantastic pub! Had the Celt Club this go 'round and it was fantastic. The bacon was crunchy, the turkey was yummy and the chipotle mayo tied it all together. Truth be told I must have come in a t a perfect time as they were playing Flogging Molly and Drop Kick Murphy in the background. I've never felt so ignored at a restaurant before. My initial server was great. The food was good. I moved to a new table to be closer to the band playing. I stayed at this new table for two hours. I watched the server for my section attend to other patrons while being completely ignored. I eventually walked to the bar to order. It felt humiliating and dehumanized. Ageism? Or I violated some kind of restaurant code of ethics by moving tables after I'd finished my dinner and was ostracized for the rest of the night? It's located in a beautiful old building with stunning stained glass windows and a lovely Celtic carved bar. The food is delicious. We had the cottage pie and the bacon jalapeño Mac and cheese. I came here for drinks and squeezed into a seat at the bar. As the name suggests this is an Irish pub and there are themes of four leaf clovers and some of the workers wearing kilts. I ordered the Big D's negroni ($10) and the bartender realized after he started making the drink that they did not have campari, so he subbed it with an orange liqueur. The funny thing was that a little bit later I was looking at the spirits and spotted the campari in the back but couldn't at first because my seat was right behind the taps and they were blocking my view. A major move in 2021 to Idaho Falls gives me the ability to explore new businesses. It is exciting for me to be able to review these offerings on Yelp. This place is wonderful and full of comfort food. We've enjoyed many of their offerings and all have been well prepared, tasty, seasoned well, and good portion size. To start with their beer selection is overwhelming. It takes me about ten minutes to read the offerings and try to imagine their taste before deciding what I'm in the mood to enjoy. Once that has been settled I can turn my mind to food. And the list is long. The happy hour sliders are a good choice to enjoy with truffle fries. We order our Wagyu slider rare and they try to oblige. We've enjoyed their cottage pie, their Ruben, and others I can't remember at this time. It's become a gathering place for us in Idaho Falls. I have only had good meals at this restaurant. It's why I continue to dine here. And they are dog friendly in the summer. They have an outdoor seating area where we can let our dog enjoy snacks on her snuffle mat while we eat a meal. It's a win/win for our family. read more

IDAHO FALLS DINING VARIETY CHALLENGE: Having recently moved here from Boise, we realize the variety of dining opportunities could be smaller. We hope to show there are many 4-5 star restaurants of various cuisines to be enjoyed as we experience them ourselves. IRISH PUB - We've been to the Celt multiple times in 2021, as it is simply a comfortable place to go with good beer. We've enjoyed corned beef & cabbage, shepherd's pie, sausage charcuterie, fish & chips, reubens, corned beef sandwiches, wagu sliders, and did I say beer? The service is friendly and usually prompt. We also have sat outside quite a few times, as having a one year old pup makes that necessary - but she's welcome to be there. We can't say we've been there during their live music times, but they sound quite interesting and we hope to be at some of them soon. We think the Celt is "great". read more

We were in Idaho Falls for a concert at the new local event center. I am vegetarian while my husband is not, and we often struggle to find vegetarian-friendly eateries. I had the hummus plate which was very tasty and came with a generous helping of hummus, veggies and crackers. Hubby had the fish and chips, which was cooked perfectly. The décor was fun to look at, with all the soccer banners and other Irish memorabilia. Humungous bar with what seemed like hundreds of bottles. There were several nooks that had tables and comfy chairs. Soccer banners hang from the ceiling and were right above us, but appeared to have dust on them, so that was icky and I prayed that a gust of wind didn't blow while we ate! Our wait person was friendly, smiley and attentive. The bartender seemed to have a regular sour puss, but maybe he has resting bartender face, I dunno. The bar, and the rest of Idaho Falls downtown area, seems to have had a very generous amount of money invested and the result is beautiful. We would definitely return to this charming establishment. Agree with another poster that parking is a bit difficult. We lucked out and found a street spot across the main street in the shade. read more

Food was brought out by runners and the waitress stopped by to make sure we didn't need anything else. We had asked that our food be staggered since we had a main and an appetizer. They arrived right on top of each other. Food was ice cold. Tried to flag down waitress and she was obvious. . We needed to go boxes and I had to get up and look for them. She finally turned around from her 3rd conversation with the same table and said oh I'll get them. Do you need them? Heaven help me. She ignored all of her tables multiple times. Her initials are SM. You might want to train her more. This is not intended for her to be fired or anything. She just really needs to wait on tables and not hold 1/2 hour conversations with a table. The food was ok. We had the corned beef and cabbage , a bowl of soup, a salad and the Mac and Cheese. The food was not hot at all. Never had corned beef served to me in this fashion. It was ok. The portions are small. We had maybe 25 cubes of corned beef in the pan. The best part of the menu was the Mac and Cheese. It was fantastic. Made perfectly and delicious. My husband, baby and I came to the Celt Pub and Grill on our trip back home to the treasure valley. We were very satisfied with our dinner choice! He had their fish and chips and loved their wasabi tarter sauce paired with their fish. He drank a hot buttered rum, and an old fashioned. I ate their winter salad special, and had a Pama-perfection and Christmas in your mouth speciality drinks. Both drinks had wonderful taste and consistency, and superb presentation. What we loved the most was the Celtic themed aesthetic of the interior; it mimicked an ancient Celtic tavern with every detail thoughtfully placed. Visiting from CA and discovered this beautiful gem while visiting friends. We came as a party of 9, with 5 children and 4 adults needing a table at prime time at 6:45pm. Our server from start to finish took care of us with consistency throughout, and even scrambled to find our family a table quickly when we first arrived. The food was outstanding as were the drinks. We were so impressed with service and also food. At the end of our meal as we went to pay, we were told our meal had been paid for because the children were so well behaved. To the family that made our night so memorable and treating us all to dinner, your generosity was impactful. It was so nice to see the ripple effect with the generosity passing onto our server who got to benefit a little as well. The bar is set high for an Irish Pub after our experience tonight. read more
