So what was supposed to be a date night at somewhere new .. turned into meeting friendly and likeminded (playful) locals that joined the entourage and are now new friends. The added bonus to the nights excitement was the Real Housewives of Rhode Island premier. I felt like I was watching my family (especially the "aunties"). They had a host for the the night, a DJ, and there was a table setup (free for everyone) with a 'charcoochie' board (pronounced in my RI accent) and Prosecco. We started off with a dirty martini (Grey Goose) and glass of Proseco; I like my martini extra dirty just in case you wanted to know. We like feeding EACH OTHER so we decided to go for the Bang Bang Cauliflower, Sweet Chili Wings (to make it messy), and Barbecue Chicken Pizza. The tempura style cauliflower was crispy with layers of flavor. The wings were perfectly crisp and the sauce was 'bangin' (pronounced in my RI accent)! I enjoyed the Sicilian style pizza. I'll def be back to try the Gnocchi Chicken Marsala! read more

This wasn't our first time here, and we came tonight to see a singer we hadn't heard before. We had reservations and were seated right away, but it took about 15 minutes before anyone brought menus or checked in with us. Once things got going, the service itself was friendly and attentive. The food, however, was a different story. We ordered simple hamburgers, and both came out either wrong or missing ingredients. My burger was supposed to have crispy prosciutto and diced pepperoncinis--neither was on the plate. When I mentioned it, the kitchen sent it back out with limp prosciutto and a side of pepperoncinis, not even on the burger. To the owner's credit, he stepped in, apologized, and had a new burger made. The replacement was tasty, and the staff continued to apologize throughout the night. They even gave us a $20 gift card for the trouble, which we appreciated. It's a really nice place, and when the kitchen is on its game, the food is excellent. I went back and forth on whether to post this. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, but people deserve honest feedback when deciding where to eat, and honestly, this wasn't the first time I've had an experience like this here. A big group of us came in for dinner. We made reservations days in advance, so staffing shouldn't have been an issue. The only other table when we arrived had already finished eating and were just sitting with their drinks. We waited 20 minutes before we had to flag someone down just to order drinks. Once those came, we placed our food order. The first dish didn't hit the table for 75 minutes, and again, the place was basically empty, so it's not like the kitchen was slammed. The rest of the meals trickled out over the next 20 minutes. The feedback around the table wasn't great. Food came out room temperature, a couple of items were straight up forgotten, one person got the wrong meal because of a "miscommunication" with the staff, and another couldn't even eat his salmon because it was still frozen in the middle. I didn't take writing this lightly, and I hope the staff takes it as constructive criticism. It's a cool little spot with real potential. They just keep missing the mark. read more

I'm so blessed to be connected to this restaurant. The owner is a really invested in the customer as well as the community. Every time we dine here, he makes himself available and present. I like trying their specials - they are always on point. My all time favorite is their winky fink - chicken sandwich with candied bacon and jalepeno peppers. It was tough to rate I was honestly around a 3.5 but a few things swayed me more toward the 3 stars. High lights of the night: Bread pudding, tuna tacos, burger and clam cakes were great. Chicken parm was good but very small portion. Disappointments: steak sandwich was on a hot dog bun (big turn off) came out cold. Stuffie was burnt but cold in middle. The clam cakes were amazing but the chowder fell very short. Most bland chowder I've had....Waiter made a $75 mistake. We paid with 3 cards and cash split 4 ways. $230 each. Instead of taking the tip portion from cash ($150) he took the entire 230 and charged the cards 280$. When we brought the error to his attention he continued to try and convince us he was right, until we explained that 920 divided by 4 was 230 and the cards should not have been charged 280. He apologized and fixed it, but this is simple math and we could've paid 75 over our bill. That soured the night a bit. read more

The food was mediocre, everything tasted like the fryolator - whatever, it was late, almost to be expected...honestly, the absolute worst part was the group of drunk men, one of which was the owner or GM, who grossly accosted the waitress/bartender. Multiple times one of the men threw a dollar at her, demanded she pick it up...called her every name you could think of (bitch, slut, etc.)...completely denigrated her. True Score: 3.25 Stars Ok drinks and small portions. Went in for drinks and ended up having an app. The atmosphere is nice, a new place with an old vibe in a unique space. The live music was done well...not overpowering so you couldn't have a conversation but fun and added a nice element. Decent beer selection on draft and in bottles and service was friendly and on point. Appetizer was of good quality food but the portions are small for the price. They are trying to do it right here, but the prices are high and another critique is can they please get regular soda products? What a really great experience I went there to try the burger from the burger passport in Rhode Island. The service name was Ashley she was very friendly and welcoming. They had the regular house burger. There was no wait it came out very juicy hot the fries were crispy and fresh with the skin on they did say that there was no substitutions allowed however I was allowed to get the french fries plain because they do come seasoned and I can't eat food with seasoning on it. It also came with like a spicy relish made from peppers and she serve me that on the side because I didn't want to get a stomachache from that either. This place was one of my favorites when it opened a few years ago. Came back for dinner on a recent Friday night and it was eerily empty. That should have been our clue to leave. Servers were more interested in their phones than waiting on us. Food, which was lukewarm, took forever which was made more annoying by the fact that I could see our dishes sitting in the kitchen window for some time. Burger was an overcooked hockey puck on a stale bun. The pizza we had looked simply inedible... looks were not deceiving! So sad that a promising place could fall this far so fast. read more

This is a great new spot! I live nearby and decided to check it out for lunch one weekend afternoon with my husband. The decor is super pleasing and it's light and airy inside (atleast during the day). For drinks they have lots of beer, wine, and cocktails. My cocktail had grapefruit and gin- not too sweet and easy to drink. It was super refreshing. We tried the pepper-jack cheese sticks to start which were really unique, a play on mozzarella sticks. Served with a sweet chili dipping sauce. For lunch I had the tuna sandwich and my husband had a steak sandwich. No complaints with the food! So this place has five star potential for me! Super nice employees upon arriving and we had a reservation so we were sat quickly. I love the decor, it has a clear concept and vibe that's really cool! There was live music while we were there and they had the speakers turn up loud so it was very hard to talk to one another and the server could barely hear us and we couldn't hear her and due to the masks we couldn't read her lips so it was a bit of a struggle throughout our visit. The band was phenomenal though! Definitely looking forward to hearing them again in the future. I got the shepherds pie and my husband got the chicken Alfredo. Mine was good but really lacked seasoning. I needed salt but due to covid (understandably) it wasn't on the table and our server didn't come back for a while so I was done by the time she came back for me to ask for it. My husbands Alfredo was delicious! Prob one of the best Alfredo sauces I've had out in years! Needed more chicken though. My mother in law got the chicken and liked it but the cornbread that was supposed to come with her dish never came. The food was slow to come out which is fine we get things happen and they were busy and it would have been nice if our server had just let us know they were a little backed up. Went 12/31/24. Pretzels and chicken parm were absolutely amazing! Service was great. The bartender/server was solo for a while, but she was excellent! Food was piping hot. No sign of New Year decorations or anything special for the night. The atmosphere in there is very cozy and comfortable. Every time I go in, there's a new table arrangement... I love love love this place. First off I live in centerdale and can walk here. Which so great considering the drinks are epic. There is a blueberry smashed lemonade that has zero booze Taste until you get up. Packs a punch but it so so so good. I also had some kind of watermelon margarita. That was damn tasty too. I have had a few different meals there but the stand out is the fig prosciutto flatbread. So much meat and flavor. Service is awesome. They do a great job keeling your drink full and checking in on your food. There is music there a few nights also. This is a lovely addition to the town , I read that the owner is also trying to open a few other shops there and I am happy to hear that. Anyone who knows me knows I love to support small local businesses. I tried to get in here 3 weeks in a row. Each time calling same day. Most recent I called day before and got 6:30 reservations for 2. It reminds me of an old speakeasy. The decor is amazing. The service is stellar. The food....mediocre. The Delmonico steak sandwich was a bit chewy and on a grilled hot dog bun. The fried were pretty good, slightly too salty but still tasty. The meatloaf was a failure. Little loafs, slightly undercooked but nonetheless dry. and chewy, lacking seasoning. Very bland. The mashed potatoes and broccolini were amazing. They serve yacht club soda so cheers to that! I love their birch beer. Since my husband was less than enthusiastic about the meatloaf they offered to let him try something else. He opted for the chicken tenders since the previous review mentioned them. He opted for Buffalo on side- it was ice cold (this is so common but I'll never understand why restaurants don't understand that no one wants to dip their warm chicken into cold sauce). They were really good though (without cold Buffalo sauce). The breading was light and crisp and not at all greasy. Since I'm going on a diet on Monday we had a last fatty party and ordered dessert. The magic bar sundae was magical even though they forgot the hot fudge...I almost mentioned it but didn't want to be a pain in the ass. Also it was plain ol ' vanilla ice cream not salted caramel. My daughter and I just tried this place for the first time. What a great place. The server, Skyla B., was very friendly and a very attentive server. We had some special requests and she handled them with ease and made us feel very welcome. Her suggestions were great and the food was excellent. There was live entertainment in the form of a singer with an acoustic guitar and where we sat my daughter and I could enjoy the music while still carrying on a conversation. The Centerdale burger is honestly one of the best burgers I've had in a long time!!!! The cougar salad is good perfect ! The chicken fingers, is chicken from Baffoni a chicken farm and breaded in house! The fries are hand cut and seasoned in house! The stuffie was phenomenal all hand made!!!! The Apple crisp is out of this world local apples freshly peeling and a homemade crisp topping will knock your socks off and a great way to end your meal!!! Came here for the first time tonight and will def be back soon! The place was spotless clean, good drinks, fast friendly service and outstanding food! I got the ceasar salad for an app, glazed meatloaf with brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes for an entre and the bread pudding for desert. My son got the chicken parm dinner and so didnt my wife, both were cooked perfectly- honestly better than alot of the italian places in the area.
