The waitress took a while to come to the table and the prices were pretty high. The ambiance was good, but the restaurant was pretty loud. I would probably go back to try other new things on the menu, and for the cheesecake for sure! My favorite cheesecake is the Godiva chocolate, it's delicious! We love coming here to celebrate a special occasion, this time it was for my husbands birthday. The food is always so good which is amazing for a place that has so many menu items. Get your free cheesecake for being a member on birthdays! They also gave us a small birthday sundae too which was delicious! My husband has a go to chicken sandwich that he gets all the time. I tend to try something new when I go but every time I go I always have a craving for pasta. I was craving biscuits and gravy and of course they had it on their menu. The kids really enjoyed this dish too. They loved their kids meal! It was definitely not kid portion though. They had enough for a few meals. This review is for this location only. In general, Cheesecake Factory has never steered me wrong. Yes, they are a chain, but one of the better one's in my opinion. I had planned to come here to celebrate my birthday, since my birthday fell on a Friday, I made reservations. We arrived on time and was seated within a few minutes. Per usual, when dining at The Cheesecake Factory, they provide the table with a breadbasket with their signature brown bread and sourdough, both delicious and free refills. Their bread is baked fresh and always served warm. We ordered the Fried Calamari as our appetizer. It was fried perfectly and most importantly the calamari wasn't overcooked. It was served with cocktail sauce and some kind of garlic aioli. The aioli was my favorite of the two sauces, but the cocktail sauce was a nice acidic component that cut though fried delicious greasiness. As for our mains, we ordered the French Dip Burger and the Louisiana Chicken Pasta. The burger was very tasty, it had a hint of that flame grilled flavor in the background, however, the au jus that it came with was a little too salty. The fries were fried to a perfect golden brown, crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. The Louisiana Chicken Pasta was also very good (I ordered it without peppers). To my surprise, despite how thin the breaded white meat chicken was, it was not dry at all, and still moist and well-seasoned. The pasta was not overcooked, but it could have been a little more al dente in my opinion. The New Orleans sauce on the pasta was rich and buttery with just the right amount of kick from the spices. I can see why this is one of their most popular pasta dishes. Since it was my birthday and I was signed up for The Cheesecake Factory rewards program, I was eligible to receive a free cheesecake of my choice. I picked the Fresh Strawberry cheesecake (the original cheesecake topped with glazed fresh strawberries). Of course, true to their namesake, the cheesecake was delicious as always and the strawberries added a refreshing touch. Our server was friendly and efficient. I think the food was prepared okay, ordered few dishes but this spinach cheese dip stood out as extremely oily. You can see the oil pool out. The bread basket was yummy as usual - I like that the brown bread is a little sweet. A recent Birthday Celebration for a friend ended up with us all having dinner at the infamous @cheesecakefactory in Edina. I didn't realize that they have a second spot in Minnetonka! I'll admit I had never been here until I was in my 30's. I've only been twice now so even though it's a well known spot I need to shout out our meals because it was so good. So will need to be back to try that but will be getting some of the mentioned above items again for sure. Haven't been here in a long time. This place is always busy but was extra busy with so many celebrating the end of Ramadan. About an hour wait for seating. Service went relatively smoothly given how busy they were but definitely not the most attentive service. Food was what you'd expect the flavors to be but many of the items, including the bread, came out room temp and not warm. Everyone's favorite is the bread and the bread wasn't hitting the spot. It wasn't warm as expected but it felt old and the white bread cut the bottom of my mouth. The takeout containers are horrendous. They feel a step up from a plastic bag. This restaurant is connected to Southdale Center. The noise level is on the louder side. The food here is consistent and fresh. My favorite appetizer is the Thai Lettuce Wraps with Chicken. The veggies are fresh and crisp, and the chicken is seasoned well. The peanut sauce that comes with the wraps is delicious. The portion is large enough to be a meal. The Avocado Eggrolls appetizer tastes like it's just avocados stuffed in an eggroll wrapper. The texture is very mushy and it tastes bland -- I'd skip this one. The Steak Diane entree is a solid steak option that comes with plenty of sauteed mushrooms. The Oreo Dream Extreme Cheesecake is the perfect blend of cheesecake, mousse, and moist chocolate cake. The Mango Key Lime Cheesecake isn't very tart at all. It has a delicious mango mousse and the coconut crust gives it a tropical flair. The Strawberry Shortcake is simple but the ice cream, shortcake, and strawberries are so fresh. The Shortcake portion is huge and definitely shareable. This place has not disappointed me in terms of the food and drink selections (there's a lot of choices for vegetarians and gluten free folks plus a full bar!). They have a full menu of low calorie options collected in a separate menu. Make sure you leave room for their great selection of cheesecakes and by the way, an awesome Gluten Free option is the Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake... yumm! They have an Oreo milkshake too! There are long waits during weekends but it's also by the mall so you can window shop while waiting. My buddy and I were going to see a movie at Southdale and decided to hit happy hour at The Cheesecake Factory. They had Surly Furious on tap, so of course I ordered that first from the awesome bartender. The place is huge and they have quite a few options for eating at happy hour. I started with the crab bites. They came out pretty quickly and they were delicious with a creamy dipping sauce. My friend got the fried cauliflower and it had an orange glaze dipping sauce, which was scrumptious. We decided to try the skinny Long Island iced tea, which was not super strong, but tasty! First time ever coming to The Cheesecake Factory and checked out their happy hour menu. The place was very spacious and was about 60% full on a weekday. If you want the happy hour menu, be sure to let the hostess know so that you can get seated in the bar area (they don't take orders for happy hour in the main dining room). We got the happy hour burger, which was very big for the price. The burger was simple but the meat was a bit bland. Came with fries that were kinda pale without much seasoning to them. The calamari was slightly crisp but oily. They didn't taste off... but they definitely didn't taste fresh either. The sweet corn tamale cakes were good for the first few bites; a nice hearty corn flavor. But shortly after, the texture with the sauces and the tamale itself all becomes one and the sweetness of the corn becomes too much. The saving grace was the mango key lime cheesecake. I love the Cheesecake Factory, one of my favorite places by far. Although I have to say the service lately has been abismal. To say that the service has been a disappointment would be an understatemen. I recently visited last Friday June 12, and we did not receive the waters we ordered, nor the bread that is complimentary. The menu is large and diverse, which can be concerning in terms of quality of ingredients for the 40+ menu items they have to keep on hand but the appetizers were great. Fresh, savory and were a large portion. We tried the Thai lettuce wraps, calamari and the street corn riblets. The bread is usually a fan favorite but this time around, it was stale tasting so I avoided it. For the main course, I got the steak Diane and it was cold. Even the fries were cold so I assume they were sitting for a while. I didn't bother to make a fuss because I knew that with all the appetizers we were having, I'd be taking that steak and fries home to be reheated another day anyway. I ordered the Jamaican Black Pepper Chicken and Shrimp dish and it was deeply unimpressive. It reminded me of a microwave meal. Zero flavor. No heat, no depth, no soul. If you get it to-go, throw expectations out the window entirely, because whatever "very Spicy" seasoning existed disappears the second the lid closes. It did not deserve a photo. I still really enjoy the Cheesecake Factory. The menu is still really big! I mostly try to visit during the week to avoid the weekend crowds. My favorite things to get are the chicken pot stickers and orange chicken. The sauce they put the pot stickers in is really good and flavorful. I love that the orange chicken is somewhat crispy! They have run out of pot stickers a few times I've went. It is a bit spendy here but I do feel like you get your moneys worth in quality overall. I went here for my birthday dinner and was a little disappointed by the service overall. We were seated promptly which was great and our server did check on us often, however, every time he stopped at our table was super quick and we couldn't ask a question without him speeding off. We even finished our bread basket at the table before our orders were taken. We were not asked if we were celebrating anything special nor really felt taken care of during dinner. Also, a bit after we ordered our food, I did order a glass of wine which never arrived until after our meals had been eaten, plates cleared and we had asked for the check. It was obvious that he looked at the bill and saw the glass on there and forgot. The weird part was that he delivered the wine after we were clearly ready to leave and then we had to ask for it to be removed from the check and taken back. Idk definitely a weird, one off situation but it's stuck with me. The menu was huge which was awesome and I really liked the skinnylicious options! After waiting 50 minutes for a table and being excited to dine in since our party was celebrating a birthday, our waiter was unprofessional and not timely. He would only come to our table every 20 minutes, and we would have to ask repeatedly for items like water. After finally receiving our food, one of our members did not receive their meal until 15 minutes after the rest of us; we happily told the waiter that it was a member's birthday in the party. They looked awkward and provided a treat, which we then learned that we had to pay for after they provided us with the bill. They did not give us any boxes. I was a little surprised by this considering it was 1230 and honestly the restaurant was pretty empty. It's birthday week and today I celebrated in one of my favorite restaurants for its decor and massive menu. We went at 4:30 for an early dinner, so it was perfect for having a nice conversation. While I sample red sangria wherever I go, never have I found one that rivals the Cheesecake Factory's Sangria recipe. And double up on the warm brown bread and butter please! For dinner, I went off my original plan and chose the Orange Cauliflower bowl from the specials menu and truly enjoyed this vegetarian dish full of Asian flavors and the perfect crispness to the cauliflower and other veggies.
