This location is very spacious and large, and the kitchen mural was huge! We started with drinks, of course; the Paloma Rosa and Pineapple Moscow Mule, both of which were very good. I don't understand why they don't add the prices to the drink menu. Can someone explain? As for food, I had my favorite: the Santa Fe Salad, along with Chicken Taquitos, Chicken & Jalapeno Fritters, which they do not serve in NJ or NY, I believe, along with Avocado Eggrolls, which our server suggested. I just learned The Cheesecake Factory updated their menu earlier this year. I'm always late to the party. One of the new items is the chicken shawarma. I really liked this dish. You get three packed pita halves. Great for sharing or eat what you can and take the rest home. I liked the garlic and spicy dipping sauces. FYI, the spicy sauce is pretty spicy. My wife and kid ordered fries with their dishes so I asked for a side house salad. Perfect meal. Can't wait to try some of their other new items. Despite the restaurant being packed, we were seated very quickly, which was a great start to the experience. Our server was kind, attentive, and efficient. I especially appreciated that I never had to ask for beverage refills, even for drinks that required payment. The food was a mix of hits and misses. The Margherita pizza was excellent--fresh, flavorful, and definitely something I would order again. On the other hand, the lettuce tacos were underwhelming. They contained very little chicken, making the dish feel incomplete and not very satisfying. To end the meal, we ordered the tower chocolate cake, and it was absolutely delightful. It was the perfect dessert and a great way to finish the evening. Another highlight was the checkout process. Our check was brought promptly, and the payment process was incredibly fast, making for a smooth and efficient end to the meal. We were craving Cheesecake Factory and this location did not disappoint! This location is at the mall in San Juan. There is a giant parking lot, but the mall is so busy that it took some time to get parking and we had to walk a little bit as well. We visited on a weekday and had to wait about 45 mins for a table as the restaurant was popping! We are fans of Cheesecake Factory so we knew what we wanted right away. The bread was fresh and warm and our food came out quickly. Our entrees are a little more expensive than we are used to in Oregon, however that is expected as we are on an island! I loved the garlic shrimp and my husband enjoyed the ribeye. I will say that his steak was very over done and much more salty that we are used to. The steak was definitely not medium, it came out well done. Service was the best we have had while in Puerto Rico, so friendly! We will definitely be back. read more

I love that you can make a reservation directly from their Yelp page. It's so convenient and easy. I received a $50 gift certificate this Christmas so we de used to use it two days ago. It was busy but since I made a reservation we didn't have to wait. They sat us immediately. I always like trying something new from here. I have yet to be disappointed. This time I went with the Shepards pie. I loved it. It was so full of taste, several explosions of flavor in my mouth. My husband tried the fish tacos. They were also delicious. We had a great experience at the San Juan Cheesecake Factory yesterday. Our waiter, Alejandro, was very nice and personable. My friend has a severe gluten allergy and he was able to make sure she had the appropriate accommodations. Although this location does not have as many gluten free options as most Cheesecake Factories (such as gluten free pasta, bread, and buns), Alejandro and the manager did a great job ensuring naturally gluten free items would be prepared carefully without cross-contamination. My friend was able to get the ribeye steak with potatoes and broccoli. The steak was cooked to her liking and she enjoyed her meal. The bistro shrimp pasta was delicious and exactly the same as when I've ordered it at other locations. The little garden salad was huge! I thought it would be a side salad given the name, but still found it to be enjoyable. Otherwise, it matched the menu description. Lastly, my other friend had the burrito grande. It was also huge, but that was more in line with the name! For drinks, my friends got the piña colada and the mojito! They were both good and my friend said he thought the mojito was strong, which he liked. I only drank water and I could have used another refill, but I appreciated the lemon. Such delicious food! The indoor seating area was pretty chilly, so we opted to eat outside, where the lighting is just too poor. We could hardly read the menus. The bread and butter served before the meal are dependably good. Their salads are always excellent. The "appetizer" salad is enormous - no need to go larger! The Caesar with grilled chicken is delicious. The Skinnylicious Mexican tortilla salad is slightly larger but apparently way less calories, but it's honesty just as good. My glass-and-a-half of merlot is perfect for a slight buzz. The Skinnylicious cheesecake with a small side cup of strawberries is surprisingly good! Puerto Rico has a Cheesecake Factory, and it lives up the chain standards. Located in the Plaza Las Americas shopping mall, it was quite busy during a weekday lunch time around noon. There was some confusion about the wait time at the host stand - we were told there was a bit of a wait, but were seated less than 2 minutes later. Service was really friendly. Our waitress spoke both Spanish and English well. The drinks and complimentary bread/butter were served within minutes, and our food came fairly quickly within 15 minutes despite it being busy. Both the flatbread and chicken parmigiana sandwich we ordered were a solid 4.5/5 in the taste, preparation, and flavor department. My husband and I decided to take my in laws for a quick lunch and overall the experience was mediocre not great nor amazing. Upon arrival we were fortunate to get sat right away which I was surprised and thankful since we were with my baby and didn't want to wait a crazy amount of time for a table. Upon being sat approximately 10 minutes later our server shows up at our table saying loudly Hello Hello Hello back to back on top of the stroller where my baby was sleeping which she could see. I asked her to please lower her voice since my baby was sleeping and she gave me this terrible look as if she was mad I asked her kindly to be considerate of my baby. We proceeded to order our plates and upon the plates ordered was the Herb Crusted Filet of Salmon and the Thai Glazed Salmon. The Thai Glazed Salmon was ordered with asparagus and broccoli which were soggy and bland you could see that they weren't fresh yet they were served. The salmon was tasty at-least, which was good. For dessert we ordered the Toasted Marshmallow S'Mores Galore Cheesecake which was delicious. After being done I was right in the middle of feeding my baby and the server was almost rushing us to pay our tab and leave which is extremely rude, for this reason my rating... hence the terrible customer service and the lack of fresh ingredients served. read more

A typical Cheesecake Factory experience. But be warned this is a SLAMMED and busy restaurant the weekends. Also...everyone is on "island-time" bartenders, servers... so sit back and take a breath your drinks may take up to 30 mins to get to you in a busy night. Be patient because I also believe the staff shortage is effecting them as well. The food is always a HUGE portion and delicious and save room for the epic cheesecake, I shared a slice of the apple Carmel but... it was so beautiful and delicious looking I was too hypnotized to take a photo. The two hour dining experience time was fine as we were not in a hurry but might not be a great place if you are on a schedule. Staff speaks Spanish and English comfortably as it's a U.S. chain and feel comfortable if your espanol isn't the best. Estimated wait time for a Sunday night, 30-mins to 1 hour for a table for two. The appetizers were good, we had something like chicken tenders and mini tacos which they were great. My main entree was a ribeye steak with french fries and their in-house salad. I asked for my steak to be medium well, but it was bit overcooked which to be honest I didn't care. Their salad was uneatable, maybe I'm being to picky, but I didn't like it at all, but their french fries were good. For dessert I had their Godiva Brownie Sundae, it was the delicious. The seating arrangement was bad not terrible, but didn't enjoy it. We were seated in a table for four but right besides our table, there were two people seating in a table for two. The space between the tables felt too closed. Now, their customer service was really good, so kudos for that. I wouldn't say this place is overrated, in fact I'd probably return. The portion was huge. I took half home and it was still delicious the next day! I want some more! I now have a favorite dish at The Cheesecake Factory :) The chicken didn't pick up as much flavor as the shrimp, so next time I think I will order shrimp only. Great expectations often lead to great disappointments and this was no exception. After the overwhelming first impression of the size and décor of this restaurant that now dwarfs the entrance of the Plaza Las Americas shopping center you will have to wrestle with the largest menu ever seen for a casual family restaurant. Service was quick and attentive in spite of the lamest black or white uniforms last seen on insane asylum workers. The expensive décor apparently left no budget for more cheerful clothing. The listing of a ground Kobe beef burger made my choice an easy one. Setting aside the fact that grinding Kobe beef should be outlawed, this sounded like the promise of the best burger ever. My wife chose the Chile Relleno burger done with Angus beef. Both were good, but not up to the star billing promised. In traditional gringo burger style, neither meat is seasoned and depends on the provided salt, pepper and ketchup for any flavor. The included lettuce, one slice of tomato, overcooked onions, and bland mushrooms did not redeem the meat. (See picture) Kobe beef import stopped being allowed in the USA until recently and remains scarce and very expensive. This burger did not say Kobe to me, and their web site calls it "American Kobe beef" which is as deceitful as saying "American Champagne" In addition to the questionable food, my rating dropped a full star upon seen that all the cutlery is placed right on the table surface at each table. No place mats. No napkins. Right on the top that every hand rests upon. (See picture). I asked for all new cutlery and was promptly brought new napkin-wrapped sets. Still this is an unhygienic practice that cannot be condoned. Finally . . . the cheesecakes . . . the raison d'être of this location. They all looked good, but at about $8.00 a pop for a very modest slice, we chose to pass on dessert. Our two burgers, one beer, and one coffee ran a $45 tab after tax and tip.
